    English,Turkish teams chase Olarenwaju Kayode

    The Sporting Director of Austrian side, Austria Wien has confirmed that they are in talks with teams in England and Turkey who are interested in Nigerian forward, Olarenwaju Kayode.
    Austria Wien are reportedly willing to see him move abroad than join local rival, Austria Vienna, who are also interested in the forward and his teammate Tarkan Serbest.
    Kayode is a reported target of English Premier League side Stoke City, but Austria Wien’s director Franz Wohlfahrt refused to name the teams in England and Turkey interested in the 23-year-old.
    “We have had inquiries from teams in England and Turkey for Olarenwaju Kayode. But so far no offer has met our expectations.I do not believe a move will happen soon,”he said.
    The former Nigeria youth international has been in fine form in front of goal for the Europa League campaigners with 14 goals to his name this season in all competitions.
    He is contracted to Austria Wien till the summer of 2019, and he is valued at 2 millon euros by the club he joined from Israeli side Maccabi Netanya 18 months ago.

    Former Flying Eagles striker   Olarenwaju Kayode is slowly staking a claim as Nigeria’s best striker in Europe hitting a brace for Maccabi Netanya in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

    Kayode twice gave his side the lead in the 15th and 41th minutes and saw his side rescue a point courtesy of Dia Baba ten minutes from full time.

    Even though he will be disappointed his team didn’t take all three points, Kayode on a personal level will be thrilled as he now has 8 goals from 19 league games this season.

    His tally has already almost matched his goal count of 10 from 25 games from last season, a pointer to how well he has developed since the start of the 2014/2015 season.

    His fine form for the newly promoted side has led to speculations he will soon leave the league for another European side and league with Belgium and Scotland his rumored destination.

    Former Nigeria youth international Olarenwaju Kayode netted his second goal of the season in the Israeli Premier League on Thursday evening, as Maccabi Netanya shared the spoils with Beitar Jerusalem.

    Zarko Korac gave the home team the lead in the 27th minute, only for ex- Flying Eagles striker Kayode to restore parity for the First Division champions six minutes from the interval.

    Beitar Jerusalem’s new acquisition Sani Emmanuel finally made his debut,after he replaced Tomer Suissa in the 66th minute.

    On the other hand,goalscorer Olarenwaju Kayode had to make way for Dia Seba with three minutes of normal time remaining.

    Maccabi Netanya occupy the 12th position on the 14 – team table, while the capital team are eight places above them.

    Before signing on the dotted lines for Maccabi Netanya, the youngster had been courted by Hadjuk Split, Croatia and Esperance, Tunisia.
