    How I created stunts in ‘Oloture: The Journey ,’ by Tough Bone

    Stuntman and martial artist, Jeddy Odiboh, aka Tough Bone, has shed light on his role in coordinating stunts for the movie series, ‘Oloture: The Journey’.

    In an interview with The Nation, the fifth-degree black belt holder in Kung-Fu explained how he met with the director to align the action scenes with the storyline.

    He said: “Creating the stunts for the movie was a multi-faceted process that required careful planning, coordination, and adaptability. When I got the script, I had detailed discussions with the director to align our action scenes with the storyline and desired audience impact. We then assembled our elite team of stunt professionals and rented specific equipment, including specified bikes. After a week of intensive training, we experimented with various transitions and performances to ensure the stunts were both thrilling and realistic.”

    Speaking on the integration of stunts into the narrative and ensuring safety on set, Tough Bone said, “Stunt coordination involves extensive collaboration with directors, actors, and the crew. On the set of ‘Oloture’, I worked closely with everyone to ensure the stunts were safe and seamlessly integrated into the narrative. Communication was crucial, and we maintained a clear hierarchy, respecting each person’s role in order to avoid overlaps in responsibilities. Regular rehearsals and open dialogue were essential to synchronise our efforts in bringing the script to life. By meticulously planning and rehearsing every move, I was able to deliver realistic and impactful stunts while maintaining a strong focus on the well-being of the cast and crew. This diligence ensured that the action scenes were not only exciting but also executed safely.”

    Reflecting on the dynamic nature of the stunt industry, Tough Bone said, “Each project presents unique challenges that push us to innovate and expand creative boundaries.     Òlòtūré: The Journey, other titles set for release on Netflix in next mouth

    The highly anticipated feature, Òlòtūré: The Journey is set to premiere as the sequel for the first instalment on Netflix on June 28.

    The much awaited sequel will follow a young journalist working undercover as a sex worker in Nigeria to expose corruption, during this journey, she fights for her life as she forges a path to Europe.

    With Kenneth Gyang as director, and a star studded cast including Sharon Ooja, Omoni Oboli, Beverley Osu, Ikechukwu Onunaku, Stan Nze, Amarachukwu Ono, Bukola Oladipupo, Daniel Etim Effiong, and Patrick Doyle, the series is produced by Ebonylife Studios.

    In the same vein, Bridgerton 3: Part 2 joins ‘Òlòtūré: The Journey’ as another title set for June release on Netflix. The new season sees a new crop of debutantes yearning to become the brightest of the ball, a wallflower with a double life finds her light amid secrets and surprises.

    Other titles to stream in the month of June include ‘Moving On,’ ‘The Good Doctor: Season 6,’ ‘Little Baby Bum: Music Time: Season 2,’ ‘Basma,’ ‘Keith Robinson: Different Strokes,’ ‘Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution,’ ‘The Accidental Twins,’ ‘Rising Impact, Drawing Closer, Savage Beauty, Owning Manhattan, and A Family Affair will debut on the platform.
