    Omiogbemi bags Nigerian soccer ambassador award

    The Adolor of Uwanno Kingdom Senior High Chief Alex Alegieuno Omiogbemi has bagged the prestigious Nigerian Soccer Ambassador Award in recognition of his long-standing dedication to youth empowerment, grassroots development and nation-building through service.

    The award was presented at an exclusive ceremony at Merit House in Abuja, drawing an exceptional gathering of Nigeria’s political and business elite. 

    Among them were Deputy House of Representatives Speaker Benjamin Kalu; House Majority Leader Julius Ihonvbere; Bayelsa Governor Douye Diri and Deputy Yobe Speaker.  

    Also in attendance were the APC National Women Leader, the National President of the National Council of Women Societies of Nigeria, and Hon. Mrs. Susan Lokpobiri, wife of Minister of Petroleum. Their presence signaled not only recognition of the award itself, but also deep appreciation for the values embodied by its recipient.

    The audience also included figures such as Gen. Paul Boroh, former Special Adviser to the President on the Niger Delta and past coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, and Prince Vincent Okumagba, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee of the Nigeria Football and Other Sports Supporters Club. Others in attendance were Engr. Rotimi Omoboriowo, Director General of NIPSS, and Chief Daniel Osakwe, alongside prominent entrepreneurs and professionals such as Chef Jayne of Obudu Place, Chief Lucky Ohimai of Tarex Conglomerate, Haiji Kafar Liameed of the Lagos State Football Association, Amb. Sammy Anistar Uche PhD, and Chief Okechukwu Don Nwuzor. Their collective support reflected national consensus around the ideals of social investment, patriotism, and visionary leadership.

    Omiogbemi’s impact continues to grow across multiple sectors. As President General of Emokhueme Community, he has prioritised peace, education and economic opportunity.

    His leadership led to the establishment of the first-ever secondary school in the community Omiogbemi Secondary School, as well as the inauguration of the Emokhueme Education Trust Fund. 

    This initiative, designed to ensure that no indigene is denied access to education due to poverty, is managed by a Board of Trustees chaired by Dr. (Engr.) Sir Kess Omiogbemi and Vice-Chaired by Prince Fidelis Ayiabe, Executive Chairman and MD of Fidson Pharmaceuticals.

    In the corporate space, Omiogbemi serves as the Group Managing Director of Rainbow Network Global Synergy Ltd., a thriving conglomerate with strategic interests in oil and gas, construction, engineering, and hospitality. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its national footprint and remains deeply committed to social impact innovation.

    He is also the founder of the Alex Alegieuno Omiogbemi Foundation, a philanthropic organisation with a clear mission: to transform lives through education, enterprise, and mentorship.
