Omoborty advises women to prioritise marital peace

Actress Omoborty has stated that marriage isn’t about the length of time spent together but  about grace and intentional efforts.

She emphasised that even after 50 years of marriage, some men can still exhibit questionable behavior, such as taking a second wife or being unfaithful.

Omoborty advised women not to prioritise societal expectations over their peace of mind, stating that one’s peace is their true wealth.

She encouraged women to leave unhappy or unpeaceful marriages, rather than staying for the sake of what others might say.

Omoborty acknowledged that there are still good, intentional men who keep their vows pure and are worth praying for.

She wrote: “Marriage isn’t about length or years, it’s about grace…even after 50 years, some men can still show that Solomon trait in them. At this point, one can only pray, may God bless every good and intentional man who keeps his vows pure.”

She stated further: “Following all the gist on Instagram about the recent event, one lesson is clear for every woman. Sadly, length of years in marriage doesn’t stop a man from misbehaving or even taking a second wife.

“It’s all in God’s hands, because while some will stain your white, there are still good, intentional, and determined men. May God have mercy on women! As a woman, never remain where peace is lost just because of what people will say. Let them talk, your peace is your true wealth”.

Omoborty responds to criticisms after birthday wish to Lizzy Anjorin

“Hmmmmmmm. God, please rain down your peace, I plead. I am an advocate of PEACE. Let no one teach me otherwise in this space. Upbringing matters, so the internet won’t change me now. Hope that sinks.

“Dear fans, Hope you know that when our loved ones fight, it puts us, their friends, in a dangerous spot. Why are some of you compounding it? How do we live to inherit a feud we don’t know the genesis?

“If only people know that, When there’s no peace, it affects both the innocent and the culprit. It is extremely exhausting! Dear God! Please this peace is needed NOW!

“Honestly, it’s so sad. I don’t know why the Yoruba Adage of “Agba kiwa loja, kori omo tuntun wo” is not working here? Life is too short for unnecessary conflicts. Let’s choose peace and kindness instead. Let’s remember that forgiveness and understanding can heal wounds and restore harmony. May we find the strength to let go of grudges and embrace reconciliation. AMEN.”
