    Omosede Igbinedion maintains high taste

In spite of being separated from the man who once meant the word to her, Omosede is making the best of what life can offer. Remarkably, none of the inadequacies of life has affected her glowing looks.

A member of the House of Representatives representing Ovia Federal Constituency, Edo State, Omosede is reputed for her love of luxury, and she is quick to profess that the habit rubs off on her son, Alexander, who was fathered by her estranged hubby and Benin prince, Aven Akenzua.

Only recently, she displayed on the social media pictures of high end clothing and accessories costing a fortune, which she recently acquired for her son. Not one to do things in half measures, she was said to have done the shopping for her son’s clothes in some foreign outlets.

With her fresh move to the National Assembly, those who used to gossip about her are now said to stop in their tracks once they sight the mother of one.

Different strokes for Omosede Igbinedion, Alvan Akenzua

It is no longer news that the marriage between Prince Alvan Akenzua, a nephew of the Oba of Benin, and Omosede Igbinedion, one of the daughters of the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, has hit the rocks. The two have gone their separate ways and would wish the memories of their short-lived union evaporate from the minds of those who remember the millions that went into the ceremony.

Pretty Omosede, who was recently elected a member of the House of Representatives, is currently over the moon. To complement her cheerful mood, she staged an elaborate birthday party where top politicians like Governor Ayo Fayose and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila honoured her with their presence. She has become regular on the social radar, gracing A-list parties and hanging out with elites.

Although her estranged husband, Alvan Akenzua, is not totally off the social radar, he has adopted a low profile, allowing Omosede to take all the shine. Akenzua, the son of the Enogie of Obayanto, HRH Uyiekpen Akenzua, studied Microbiology at the Edo State University, while his estranged wife studied in an Ivy League institution abroad.

It is believed that their wedding crumbled because the ‘ancestors’, as epitomised by the Oba of Benin, never gave their blessings as required by Benin tradition. Their union, however, produced a son.

Take Ibori, Omosede Igbinedion bank on fathers’ influence

The political scene is becoming more and more interesting as the general elections year draws nearer and nearer. A trend that is playing out is the influx of silver spoon kids into the murky game of politics. They are now embracing politics, using their fathers’ names as pedestals to actualise their aspirations.

Joining the ranks of children of prominent politicians and businessmen are Omosede Igbinedion and Take Ibori. Omosede, one of the daughters of Sir Gabriel Igbinedion, has joined the race for a seat in the House of Representatives in Edo State. The mother of one is said to be vying for the seat of Ovie Federal Constituency. What is not yet certain is the political platform on which she intends to actualise her dream.

On her part, Take Ibori, the lovely daughter of former Delta State governor, James Onanefe Ibori, who is currently serving a jail term for corruption, is planning to contest for a seat in the Delta State House of Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Sources close to the corridors of power in Delta State told Celeb Watch that Take stands a very good chance picking the ticket because she enjoys the support of most of the stakeholders on account of her father’s influence in spite of his incarceration.

The duo has no political experience except having fathers who ahd functioned as godfathers at one time or the other in the political affairs of their respective states.

    Omosede Igbinedion’s new hobby

OMOSEDE Igbinedion is one silver spoon kid who exercises no restraint when it comes to using the social media for personal expression. A few days ago, Omosede employed the platform to showcase her newest hobby. She has fallen in love with Shisha water pipe with a smoke chamber, a bowl, a pipe and a hose. When the specially made tobacco is lighted, the smoke passes through water and is then drawn through a rubber hose to a mouthpiece. She recently posted her picture smoking Shisha.

Omosede is said to find some relief in Shisha whenever she feels like unwinding. She is not one that would allow any act of misfortune to deprive her of happiness. It is also evident that she has regained her groove after the collapse of her marriage to Prince Aven Akenzua a few years ago. Just months ago, she was linked with a popular Niger Delta big boy, but there has been a blackout about the status of the relationship.

Omosede Igbinedion steps out with son, Prince Akenzua

Omosede Igbinedion is enjoying a new lease of life at the moment. Though she is still single, but eligible suitors continue to swarm around her like butterflies over pollen nectar. Lest you think that Omosede is just another victim of over-exaggerated spinsterhood gone awry, she isn’t. In fact, the mother of one had once been married. Probably disillusioned by her unpleasant experience in wedlock, she never misses an opportunity to impress it on her friends that marriage isn’t anywhere near the top of the list of her priorities, at least for now.

It will be recalled that Omosede was once married to Prince Aven Akenzua, the son of the Enogie of Obayanto, HRH Uyiekpen Akenza. Omosede has put the emotional trauma and all the baggage of marital heartbreak behind her in order to focus on more important endeavours like raising her son and growing her business. Omosede, who is rumoured to be having a relationship with Ayiri Emami, was recently sighted with her son, Prince Akenzua, in Milan, Italy. And from all indications, things are going on smoothly for her.

Contrary to the gist from the rumour mill that things have fallen apart between Omosede Igbinedion, the daughter of the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion and her very close friend, Ayiri Emami, investigations have revealed that both of them remain yet an item. Close friends and associates of the duo told Celeb Watch that not only are they still friendly, they still maintain some closeness which could not be placed within the frame of mere friendship.

While neither of them has admitted involvement in an intimate relationship, inside sources insist that they are romantically bound together. Ayiri Emami, a former militant endowed with riches, is already married with lovely kids. Omosede had opted out of her marriage with Prince Alvon Akenzua, a direct descendant of the royal Akenzua family in Benin. While the crown prince appears to have put the relationship behind him, Omosede has only found solace on social media platforms, particularly her Facebook account, where she has continued to express her feelings.

Emami, in a recent interview granted a soft sell journal, had said that his relationship with Omosede was a private issue and that his ‘friendship’ with her had not drawn any disapproval from the Esama as was being rumoured.

    Omosede Igbinedion thinks matrimony again

THREE years after the union between Omosede, daughter of the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, and Prince Aven Akenzua hit the rocks, the charming prince, obviously not one who sought for undue attention, went out of limelight. Not much has been heard about him ever since. But the buxom lady seems to be enjoying life and moving on. Rumour mill is agog that she is giving matrimony a second trial.

Theirs was one of the weddings of the year. It was a royal wedding that drew many from all walks of life. But after two years, the residents of Edoyaye Avenue, off Osawe Street, Etete, GRA, Benin City, were thrown into panic when armed mobile policemen, said to be acting on the order of the Esama, stormed the palatial mansion of his in-law (Aven) in two lorries to evacuate his daughter’s belongings.

Aven is a son of Enogie Uyieken Akenzua, the younger brother of the Oba of Benin, His Royal Highness, Oba Erediauwa, and had against the wish of the Benin palace forged ahead and got wedded to Omosede, the eldest daughter of Lady Cherry Igbinedion.

The marriage produced a baby boy in 2009 and was widely celebrated by the house of Igbinedion in a grand style. Although the reason for the separation was kept as a top secret, sources had speculated that the marriage probably crashed on the ground that the ancestors as epitomised by the Oba of Benin never gave their support and blessings as required by Benin tradition.

In what appeared to be a total disregard to the apparent disapproval of the Benin monarch to the marriage, Chief Igbinedion and Enogie Uyieken agreed to the uncommon colourful royal traditional/church wedding of their son and daughter on December 31, 2008 and January 5, 2009 respectively.

    Omosede Igbinedion still single

Omosede, the plump and beautiful daughter of Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, is presently lovelorn. Since her two-year-old marriage to Prince Aven Akenzua crashed a couple of years ago, it has been one tale of unrequited love after the other for her.

Omosede, whose penchant for updates on her social media platforms once suggested that she had found love again, has gone mute these days. Reports say she has reverted to her unattached status when it became glaring that the purported new guy in her life would not be walking down the aisle with her. Her rumoured affair with a Niger Delta big boy a few months ago also fizzled out like smoke.

In the mean time, Omosede seems to be savouring her single status and has on a few occasions expressed pleasure at doing her thing alone.
