    Omotosho named LYMP President

    The Leadership Institute for Youth and Early-Child Management Professionals (L.Y.M.P) has appointed Amb. Dr. Bolarinwa Omotosho, CLMP, CYMP, FICSP, FIMC, as jts new President from June 23rd, 2025. 

    The Institute’s Secretary General, Surveyor. Oladapo Obanegha, CLMP, confirmed this. 

    The Leadership Institute for Youth and Early Childhood Management Professionals (L.Y.M.P) is a professional organisation dedicated to promoting excellence and professionalism in early-childhood and youth work, and research development in caregiving. 

    Part of our key focus and interventions are

    Resource development for early childhood and youth work professionalism,; addressing best practices in early childhood and youth caregiving professionalism; addressing brain drain in early childhood and youth work professionalism; creating opportunities for career advancement in early childhood education, youth work and research development.

    Omotosho is to lead the council team and bring over three decades of experience in youth work, humanitarian expertise, social work, and leadership development to youth work.

    As the President of L.Y.M.P, Omotosho will focus on linking the institute and its members to national and global networks, promoting professionalism, and advancing the cause of youth and early-child development in Nigeria. 

    Membership in L.Y.M.P is open to youth workers, early childhood workers, school owners, school administrators, counsellors, and all caregivers.

    Omotosho is a multi potentiality, experienced conference speaker, educationist, theologian, medical social worker specialising in Mental Health and Gender-Based issues, certified veteran youth therapist, and marriage counsellor. He is a certified management consultant, certified project manager, chartered manager, certified Leadership Coach, certified Peace and Conflict educator, and appointed Eminent Peace Ambassador by three different international organizations in the U.S.A. and Australia. 

    He is a youth work expert to the core. He is a multi-vocational educationist and marketing expert with a strong background in sales and advertising, which earned him a fellowship with the Institute of Certified Sales Professionals (ICSP).

    A full member of the Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria, he is also a registered practitioner in Advertising, a certified and licensed Management Consultant, and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants. Additionally, he is a member of various professional organizations, both locally and internationally. He is a prolific writer with over 40 books and resource materials on leadership and youth culture.

    He is the President of Anchor International Outreach Ministry and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Anchor Humanitarian Care & Social Medical Initiative. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his humanitarian work, including being named a World Citizen Peace Ambassador by three international bodies between 2021 and 2023.

    As a medical social worker, Omotosho is committed to advocating for good mental health and well-being, particularly among young people. He is also an expert in Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and has worked tirelessly to promote gender equity.

    He is an alumnus of the prestigious St. Thomas Aquinas College, Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos State University, West Africa Theological Seminary (an affiliation of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka), and International Institute of Church Growth (an affiliation of Kingsway Christian College and Theological Seminary, Iowa USA).

    TCN restores Omotosho -Ikeja West line after grid collapse

    The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored the
    the Omotosho-Ikeja West 330kV transmission line, which tripped at the Omotosho end.

    Public Affairs General Manager, Ndidi Mbah in a statement recalled that the line which tripped at 11:34 pm was on a scheduled outage for mechanical line tracing.

    The tripping, according to the statement, affected power supply to Lagos and Abuja.

    The statement reads in part: “The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to clarify that at 11:34 hours today, the Omotosho-Ikeja West 330kV transmission line tripped at the Omotosho end.

    “At the time, the Benin-Egbin 330kV line was on a scheduled outage for mechanical line tracing.

    “The tripping resulted in a cascaded outage affecting the Lagos, Abuja, and Osogbo axis. However all other parts of the grid remained unaffected, contrary to reports of a grid collapse in the media.

    “The line has been successfully restored, and normal power supply has been fully restored to the affected areas.

    “We assure Nigerians of our commitment to efficient delivery of bulk power across the nation as we continue to implement measures to enhance the stability of the national grid.”

    Omotosho speaks at US anti-trafficking conference

    Veteran youth worker, global peace ambassador, and certified leadership coach, Dr Bolarinwa Omotosho has been named a guest case study speaker at the prestigious Anti-Trafficking International (ATI) conference in Virginia, USA. 

    The conference is scheduled for September through November 2024.

    Omotosho, a humanitarian, peace educator and theology teacher, will bring over three decades of experience in youth development, leadership coaching and community engagement to bear at the conference. 

    The author of over 30 resources and books on youth culture is a member of the International Association of Study of Youth Ministry in Africa (South Africa) and Youth Work WA (Australia). 

    A certified Peace educator at the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP) Australia, he was appointed as an eminent Global Peace Ambassador by three different International & prestigious peace organisations in the United States of America and Australia between 2022 and 2024.

    As President of Anchor International Youth and Teen Work Academy, Lagos, Omotosho has provided 100% tuition scholarships to over 670 students between 2021 and February 2024.

    He also chairs the Board of Trustees of Anchor Humanitarian Care and Social Medical Initiative, a non-governmental organization dedicated to raising next-generational leaders, providing medical needs to underserved communities to saving lives, and alleviating suffering in crisis-affected communities. 

    He is an adjunct faculty member at West Africa Theological Seminary (an affiliation of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka) where he have served for over a decade as External Relation Manager (ERM) and Acting Director of Communication and Fundraising. 

    He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Church Growth and Christian Ministry, among other academic credentials. 

    He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria, and a licensed management consultant and associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).

    Omotosho gets new global appointment

    Global Peace Chain has appointed Dr. Bolarinwa Michael Omotosho the founder of Next-GEN Peacebuilders’ Mentoring Network (NEPENET) and President of Anchor Humanitarian Care & Initiative as Global Peace Ambassador.

    This was made known in a document dated 13th of May 2024i signed by Kamran Zafar the founder and co-signed by Muhammed Ahamd the co-founder of the Global Peace Chain, United States of America.

    The letter reads: “This appointment is a recognition of Omotoshos’ dedication and contribution to fostering a peaceful society and advancing the United Nations’ sustainable development Goals”. 

    The new role reinforces his peace contribution as the founder of Next-GEN Peacebuilders’ Mentoring Network (NEPENET) for training, research, empowerment, advocacy, networking, and mentoring, Peacebuilders in Africa.   

    Omotosho is a Peacebuilding Ambassador, humanitarian, and social worker. He is a lecturer at West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS) in Lagos, Nigeria (an affiliate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka). 

    He has authored over 30 resources materials and books on youth culture. He is a member of the International Association of Study of Youth Ministry in Africa (South Africa) and a member of the Youth Work WA, Australia. 

    Omotosho is President of Anchor International Youth and Teen Work Academy, Lagos, and the National Coordinator of Anchor International Care and Humanitarian Initiative (a non-governmental organization) to raise Next-Generational Leaders and advocate education for girl-child. 

    He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Theology from West Africa Theological Seminary, (WATS), and a postgraduate diploma in Social Work, from Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU). Higher National Diploma in Marketing, Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu and Master of Arts in Christian Leadership, (WATS). Doctor of Philosophy in Church Growth & Ministry.

    He’s Fellow, Institute of Certified Sales Professionals. Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria, and licensed Associate Member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). He founded Anchor International Teen and Youth Work Academy, where over 600 children and youth workers have been trained with 100% tuition scholarships between 2021 and 2024.

    Based on his humanitarian and peacebuilding achievements, he received over ten honorary doctoral nominations from local and international organisations between 2021 and 2024.

    His leadership training in Lagos has attracted a minimum of 500 participants at a seat and good attendance in all Southwest states in Nigeria. Altogether he has over 10,000 in his leadership training network in Nigeria.

    Responding to the appointment, Omotosho said:  “I also want to appreciate the relentless and compassionate peacebuilding effort of Kamran Zafar the founder and Muhammed Ahamd the co-founder of the Global Peace Chain. I am pleased, honored, and humbled to accept the Global Peace Ambassador appointment, and glad to join other global recipients who have made notable contributions to the advancement of global peacebuilding.  If I may mention this is the third Ambassadorial Appointment I have received within three years. I have always mentioned that this appointment is not a position but a call to more selfless service to humanity. 

    “I am ready to work and unite with any interested organizations that are active in peacebuilding advocacy, and promote equity, human justice, and empowerment of youth, women, and girls.”

    Omotosho becomes certified peace educator, IEP peace ambassador

    The President of Anchor International Outreach Ministry and Chairman Board of trustees of Anchor Humanitarian Care & Social Medical Initiative, Dr Bolarinwa Omotosho has been certified as a Peace educator by the Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP) in Sydney Australia.  

     The newly certified Peace educator thanked God for the honour and said he accepted the award as “IEP Peace Ambassador”. 

    He bagged the award on December 15 after the completion of the IEP Ambassador Programme. 

    The honour is a selective, cohort-based programme of peacebuilders based around the world from various disciplines and sectors who are chosen for their personal, professional, and/or academic contributions to peace. 

    A letter of award by Rebecca Pursche, the Education Programs Manager, and Lea Perekrest, the Director of Partnerships at the Institute of Economics and Peace, Australia explained: “ The Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP) would like to congratulate you for completing the world-renowned IEP Ambassador Programme.

    “This program engages and educates peace leaders by providing in-depth information and training about IEP’s research and methodology around the annual Global Peace Index, Global Terrorism Index, Ecological Threat Report, and Positive Peace”. 

    Omotosho, a veteran youth worker, humanitarian, and social worker par excellent, is a dedicated global peace advocate, committed to reaching and engaging Nigeria’s most excluded and isolated communities with humanitarian aid and peace education. 

    He has in different capacities promoted effective leadership and championed peace and harmony in the Nigeria,  which got him appointed as World Citizen Peace ambassador in a letter signed by Lisa Krupp of World Citizen Peace in April 2023. 

    Omotosho said through the training, he has acquired new tools to undertake peace initiatives at the local, national, and international levels to share ideas within respective communities. 

    Reacting to the certification and award, Omotosho said this is not a position to be filled or a chieftaincy title but a huge call to be more committed to peace education and humanitarian work because “A certified peace educator should be a responsible global citizen with a vision for positive change. 

    “The educator is motivated to serve and actively involved in the community where he finds himself and the educator is a lifelong learner. This is a call to further learning”.

    Omotosho galvanises stakeholders for community peace

    Global peace advocate Dr Bolarinwa Omotosho has trained no fewer than 60 stakeholders to promote community peace. 

    Among the stakeholders were community heads, experts, police, Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC), Man “O” War, religious leaders, faculty members of West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS) and apex leaders of the Ipaja-Ayobo Local Government Development (LCDA) Alimosho Lagos. 

    They converged for a day peace summit tagged “The role of education in community peace building” in Lagos. 

    Omotosho, a graduating student and intending certified ambassador of the Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP) in Sydney Australia, told the stakeholders they must deploy their cultural and professional perspectives to strengthen security, peace and economic development through peace-building education. 

    Omotosho, who is also the President of Anchor Leadership Academy (ALA), appreciated the leadership of the Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP) in Sydney Australia for admitting him to become part of the 2023 cohorts of the Institute students. 

    He also noted the most peaceful countries in the world perform strongly on the eight Pillars of Positive Peace as stated by the Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP) in Sydney Australia. 

     The eight pillars of positive peace, according to him, are well-functioning government, sound business environment, equitable distribution of resources, acceptance of the rights of others, good relations with neighbours, free flow of information, high levels of human capital and low levels of corruption.

    He condemned community violence and demanded patriotic and renewed support from all the participants to promote security, peace and economic development in all their localities.

    Omotosho said with the caliber of the dignitaries that attended the summit, they will replicate the resolutions in their various communities and workplaces as train-the-trainers. 

    He called for de-escalation of the crisis between Israel and Palestine, suggesting unrelenting intervention of the United Nations for dialogue and peace meetings, indiscriminately distribution of humanitarian intervention, devoted efforts to prevent the spread of the violence and total forgiveness.
