President Barak Obama of the United States of America has invited Collins Onuegbu, Executive Vice Chairman Signal Alliance and Founder of Sasware, to speak at the 6th Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES 2015) in Nairobi, Kenya on July 25 – 26.

According to Courtney Beale, Senior Director National Security Council, “Your participation will demonstrate your personal commitment to the President’s long standing support for entrepreneurship and his call to action on May 11 to generate new investment in entrepreneur around the world.”

Since 2009, GES has emerged as a global platform connecting emerging entrepreneurs with leaders from business, international organisations, and governments looking to support them. This is the first time GES will take place in sub-Saharan Africa

    Onuegbu happy with gained point

FC Taraba central defender, Stanley Onuegbu has expressed satisfaction with the point his side grabbed at Akwa United.

The Jalingo-based side were forced to a goalless draw by Akwa United in Wednesday’s Glo Premier League match day 12 encounter at the Uyo Township Stadium.

Onuegbu said though his side could have grabbed the three points at stake but for the missed chances a point on the road was still a comfortable result.

“We thank God we’re able to pull a draw at Akwa United after the away loss to Nembe City in the rescheduled match day 4 tie in Omoku.

“Losing six points on a stretch won’t have done our position on the log any good as the point at Akwa United will definitely serve as a morale booster going into the next matches.

“We’ll just come back home to consolidate in our next game by going all out for the maximum three points.

“Although we could’ve taken the full points if not for some missed chances at goal but again we’re at home with the point snatched at Akwa United.

“Akwa United fought hard to pick the points as they equally had their fair misses at goal but I think we’re determined not to concede another defeat in two straight matches.

“We’re playing better with each match and I’m sure we’ll get even better in understanding ourselves as the league progresses,” said the former El-Kanemi Warriors strong man to supersport.com.

Onuegbu said his side are determined not to concede defeat at home against any other side as they host Bayelsa United on Sunday in a match day 13 tie at the Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo.

“We’ve taken the vow to avoid defeat at home irrespective of the opposition so against Bayelsa United we’ll fight hard to claim the full three points.

Onuegbu staying with El Kanemi Warriors

El Kanemi Warriors’ central defender, Stanley Onuegbu has hinted he will star for the side in the upcoming 2013/2014 Glo Premier League season.

The former Heartland captain’s strong form at the back contributed immensely to the Maiduguri-based side’s fourth place finish in the outgone season on 60 points three points adrift champions, Kano Pillars.

Onuegbu who is observing the side’s 10-day holiday at his home town, Mbaise, Owerri, Imo state said switching to another club side is not on his agenda at the moment.

“I’m still a bonafide player of El Kanemi Warriors as we speak, I’ve not changed nor intended to change my status quo though I always allow God to dictate for me at the end of every season.

“I’m at home right now with my people and how nice it is to return home after a hectic season in far away Maiduguri.

“We didn’t perform badly in the outgone season as fourth best though we would’ve been happier with a continental ticket.

“Of course, that’ll be the number one agenda on our minds when we resume for the upcoming season.

“We have a quality bench and players to deliver the goods, we’ve noted the mistakes that robbed us of the league title we’ll correct them and bounce back stronger.

“We’ll be heading to the Super Four contest to make a bold statement. We’ll like to tell doubters that our fourth finish was worked for and merited by striving to win the Super Four shield,” said the former Enugu Rangers strongman to supersport.com.

El Kanemi Warriors are expected to end the 10-day break on November 07 to resume preparations for the new league season.
