  • Winners emerge in the Oral-B 5th Anniversary National Consumer Promo

    Three winners have emerged in the first Oral-B Monthly National Consumer Promotion E-Draw, which will last from October to December. It was all smiles for the trio of Ngozi Maryann Okpanifrom Ore, Ondo who won N100, 000, Jason Akor from Markurdi, Benue who won N100, 000, and Ademola Ottun from Surulere, Lagos who won N200, 000 in the Oral-B 5th Anniversary National Consumer Promotion.

    The winners could not contain their excitement when they were contacted on the phone that they were the selected winners for the monthly cash prize of N100, 000 or N200, 000 for the Oral-B 5thAnniversary National Consumer Promotion. During the prize presentation held in Lagos, Ngozi Maryann Okpani and Ademola Ottun were beaming with joy as they redeemed their cash prize presented by Tolulope Adedeji, Brand Marketing Director, P&G Nigeria.

    One of the lucky winners, Ngozi said; “when I received the call I was beyond ecstatic! I couldn’t believe that I was selected. I have been a loyal supporter of Oral-B since their arrival in the Nigerian Market.I am currently an NYSC Corper at the moment and I plan to expand my textile business with this money.”

    The consumer promotion is part of the 5th anniversary celebration of Oral-B in Nigeria. Another key feat the brand also achieved this year is reaching over five million households since it came to Nigeria in 2011.

    In addition to the consumer promotion, Oral-B will visit various communities in Nigeria to provide free dental checks to people through the Oral-B Mobile Dental Clinic Programme, which currently reaches over 2 million Nigerians annually.

    Over the past five years the brand has sponsored and partnered with government and private institutions to support the oral hygiene of the average Nigerian. In addition, Oral-B has also received awards and recognition for quality toothpaste in Nigeria.

    The Oral-B National Consumer Promotion will run until December 2016,which will give consumers who purchase a pack of Oral-B Pro-Health toothpaste within the period, a chance to win instant prizes ranging from airtime, products, and cash prizes from N10, 000 to N300, 000.

    Reading household oral care brand from Procter & Gamble, Oral-B, is celebrating its 5th anniversary this month having reached five million households in Nigeria since 2011 when it came to Nigeria.

    To celebrate this milestone, Oral B is launching its first ever National Consumer Promotion in appreciation of its customers for supporting the brand in the past five years. In addition to the consumer promotion, Oral-B will visit various communities in Nigeria to provide free dental checks to people through the Oral B Mobile Dental Clinic Programme which currently reaches over two million Nigerians annually.

    The Oral-B National Consumer Promotion will run from October to December 2016, which will give consumers who purchase a pack of Oral-B Pro-Health toothpaste, within the period, a chance to win instant prizes ranging from airtime, products, and cash prizes from N10, 000 to N300, 000.

    Speaking on Wednesday, during the media launch of the National Consumer Promotion, Tolulope Adedeji, Brand Marketing Director, P&G Nigeria said; “Oral B has reached more than five million households since we launched in Nigeria five years ago. We are celebrating this milestone with a consumer promotion and Mobile Dental Outreach as a mark of appreciation and celebration of our teeming customers.”

    According toAdedeji, “The essence of the promotion is to celebrate and reward Oral-B consumers across the country.  At Procter and Gamble, it is our purpose to touch and improve the lives of customers with our brands. We will be rewarding as many winners as possible in the weekly and monthly draws as well as the grand draw of the Oral B National Consumer Promotion.

    Four winners will get N200, 000 and one mixed case of Oral-B each at the end of the first and second months. The grand prize winner will get N300, 000 and two mixed cases of Oral-B at the end of the promotion. In addition to the monthly and grand prizes, we will be giving out cash prizes weekly as well as daily airtime to winners.”

    Tolulope also reaffirmed the brands dedication to improving the oral health of all Nigerians through its Mobile Dental Clinic Programme. “A large number of Nigerians do not go for dental checkups nor use the right toothpaste with the right toothbrush and the Oral-B Mobile Dental Clinic programme will provide the opportunity for our customers to enjoy free dental health checks and oral advisory by our accredited dentists across various communities in the country’.”

    Ifeoma Chuks-Adizue, Brand Manager for Oral B, also speaking at the event, expressed the commitment of the brand in ensuring that people have a healthy oral experience. She added that the introduction of the product was driven by the need to have a truly, all-round protection health toothpaste in a market surrounded by basic fresh breath products.

    Winners have emerged in the Project Smile contest by Oral-B.

    They are Tosin Adekoya,  severe category; Tayo Adelekan, moderate category; and Jaiye Johnson, mild category.

    The panel of judges were music celebrity, Dr. Sid, celebrity judge; a United Kingdom-based Periodontist, Dr. Bola Soyombo, a dental expert, Dr. Fola-Alade, and Dr. Osaze Ugbo, Senior Dentist, Smile360 Dental Specialists.

    Besides, five nominees were also picked in order of scores.

    Touched by the stories of the nominees, the judges expanded the scope of beneficiaries to five.

    The nominees and their benefactors were Emem Prosper, sponsored by Dr. Bola  Soyombo and Dr. Fola-Alade; Adetunji Adenike, by Dr. Sid; Christian Okafor, by Dr. Bola Soyombo, Okonkwo Steven, by Dr. Osaze Ugbo and Kehinde Martins, by Dr. Bola Soyombo.

    Brand Communications Manager, Oral-B, Tomiwa Ajewole, said the event was targeted at the theme of this year’s World Oral Health Day, Celebrating healthy smile.

    “On March 20,” she said, “we marked the World Oral Health Day with the culmination of the ‘Oral-B Sharing Smiles’ activation campaign, a community-based initiative designed to reach out to disadvantaged communities that cannot afford dental care products and consultation with dentists.

    “We aimed to impact the lives of Nigerians who have been deprived of great smiles due to their dental flaws.”

    The initiator of this year’s edition of Project Smile, Dr. Amy Traore-Shumbusho, said the edition recorded a high number of entries owing to the support from sponsors, adding that in addition to major funding from Oral-B, support also came from other firms such as Medplus, Beat 99.9 FM, Classic 97.3 FM, and Naija 102.7 FM.

     

  • Oral hygiene campaign begins

    PROCTER and Gamble’s oral care brand Oral-B has kicked off a Winning Mouths campaign aimed at promoting oral care awareness.

    It is also meant to give consumers more confidence by providing them with oral protection.

    The Brand Operations Integration Manager, Oral-B, Ojo Folarin, said:“The Winning Mouths campaign is Oral-B’s way of reaching Nigerians in an interactive way to pass on oral care tips and awareness. We want to make sure that the right message is out there and that the right hygiene habits are being developed by consumers for their own long-term oral health.”

    Consumers could win free goody bags during call-in radio programmes that provide oral health tips and run twice daily for two weeks on Wazobia FM Lagos, Cool FM Lagos, Beat FM Lagos, Cool FM Abuja, and Wazobia FM Port Harcourt.
