Firm marks 10 years of redefining wellness

OríkÌ Group has marked 10 years of people-centred care.

At a news conference, it reflected on its journey from a modest skincare brand to a multi-country enterprise.

Founded by Joycee Awosika in 2014, ORÍKÌ set out to elevate African brands. By 2015, the firm launched its spa in Lagos at a time wellness was considered indulgent in Africa.

She said: “When we started, people saw wellness as indulgence; today that story has changed. People prioritise self-care and preventive health.”

Over the past decade, ORÍKÌ has grown in Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda, including a spa at Oriental Hotel, Lagos. Its mobile service, Unwind by ORÍKÌ has brought therapists into homes in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Kampala, and Nairobi.
