In the last festival in Delta State, Osaretin was one of the junior cyclists Edo State introduced to the sport as she rubbed shoulders with the senior girls but lost out to the much experienced riders like Ukpeseraye who represented Delta State then and Oyo State’s top rider, Joke Durogbade.
All eyes will therefore be on the women’s semi -finals and final tomorrow to see if Ukpeseraye, now representing Rivers State, will use her wealth of experience to defeat Osaretin and retain the 200m gold she won in Asaba at the last festival.
