The Executive Chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede, has inaugurated the newly constructed Alade Street and a borehole project in the Oshodi area of Lagos.
According to Oloyede, the new road would have an immediate impact on the lives of Oshodi residents, aiding business growth and easing traffic congestion.
He said: “As you can see, the commercial nerve center of Oshodi is between Igbeyinadun, Alade, Araromi, Banjoko, and Brown Streets. We have completed roadworks in this entire area. This will enhance business activities, improve the transportation system, and open up all roads in Oshodi. We first connected the major roads to the inner roads.”

Regarding the maintenance, Oloyede said: “We have a maintenance committee led by one of my trusted allies, and we are empowering them. At least one percent of our allocation is set aside in a specific account, and they conduct inspections every three months to inform us of any necessary repairs.”
He further expressed his appreciation for President Tinubu’s administration, saying: “None of this would be possible without the federal allocation we receive. Since our president took office a year ago, the allocation has increased tremendously. With the autonomy that is imminent, I believe that within the next six months, we will be able to construct up to thirty more roads, bringing the total to eighty.”
