    Osun council poll: Voting concluded in Ede units

    Voting has been concluded in some polling units in Ede in the ongoing Osun local government poll. 

    The Nation observed voting had been concluded in most of the polling units in Ede by 8:51AM.

    Among the polling units visited are: Alajue 1 Ward 4 unit 20, Alajue 1 Ward 4 unit 10, Ward 4 Unit 8, Ward 8 unit 6, Kajola-Owode-Ede. 

    But there was no voting in most polling units along Owode Ede, Seventh Day school, Ogo-Oluwa, Africa, Gof junction and Ola-Iya among others.

    Adeleke’s aide leads campaign for PDP candidate ahead of Osun council polls 

    Amid the ongoing crisis over local government control and in preparation for Saturday’s council election, an aide to Governor Ademola Adeleke has begun a statewide campaign across Osun communities. 

    Hon. Olaniyi Akinloye, the Special Assistant to the Governor, kicked off the three-day campaign in Ayedaade Local Government Area in support of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate, Felicia Adeniran. 

    Speaking at the Ayedaade PDP secretariat, Akinloye urged residents to continue supporting the PDP-led administration, highlighting Governor Adeleke’s achievements in the state.

    He said: “We have witnessed unprecedented growth and development under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, and we must continue to support the PDP to ensure the sustenance of these laudable initiatives.

    “Our party has a proven track record of delivering on its promises, and I am confident that Felicia Adeniran will bring transformative governance to our local government. Let us come together to ensure her victory and the victory of our great party.”

    Among the communities visited are Olufi, Adenuga, Ogbaaga, Owoope, and others.
