One person was killed when rivalry cults clashed in Osogbo capital of Osun State during a masquerade festival.
The Nation learnt the incident recorded at Oke-Ola area around 7pm on Sunday claimed one Kazeem.
A source informed a fight broke out when masquerades entered Oke-Ola area but members of Eiye Confraternity led by one Tajudeen clashed with another cult group in the midst of the masqueraders.

When contacted, the spokesperson of Osun State Police Command, Abiodun Ojelabi confirmed the incident.
According to him: “Anti cultism squad osogbo quickly responded to save the situation. Meanwhile the armed hoodlums took to their heels in sighting police vehicles. They only used the opportunity of the masquerade festival to perpetrate the crime.”
