…warns agitators to sheath their swords
The Oyo State Government has intervened in the ongoing boundary dispute between Osun and Oyo states, calling for restraint and constructive dialogue instead of public altercations.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, the government urged all parties to halt the blame game and allow both state administrations to continue their mature engagement toward resolving the land dispute.

Oyelade cautioned against inflammatory public comments, noting that while they may attract media attention, they undermine the efforts of Governors Seyi Makinde and Ademola Adeleke, who are jointly working with the National Boundary Commission through their representatives.
He emphasised that the issue is not insurmountable and called on traditional institutions to support, rather than obstruct, the peace process.
