    Ifeyinwa Okafor, Digital Parenting coach, has called for more support to uplift the sector.

    Okafor said the industry has transformed lives across groups, one of which is the family unit.

    She said coaching has come to stay and needs support from stakeholders.

     “In a nation where youths form a significant portion of the population, creating an environment that fosters self-discovery and skill enhancement is paramount. Coaching equips individuals with tools to navigate complexities of life and helps them to develop resilience and adaptability,” she noted.

    In the specialised field of digital parenting coaching, the government’s endorsement becomes more critical. As technology integrates further into daily life, parents face unprecedented challenges in guiding their children through the digital landscape

    The stresses of contemporary life, exacerbated by rapid technological advancements, have led to increased mental health issues. Wholeness coaches, like myself, provide crucial support in promoting emotional well-being and offering effective coping mechanisms. “

     She said that digital Parenting coaches offer invaluable insights, assisting parents in striking a balance between leveraging technology for educational purposes and ensuring their children’s safety online.

    This aligns directly with the National Development Plan’s emphasis on education and family welfare, illustrating how support for the coaching industry can contribute to achieving national objectives.
