    ‘Science, Maths vital to boosting pupils potential’

    The PFA & Friends Foundation, a renowned organisation aimed at promoting  education and empowering young minds has stressed the importance of science and mathematics as an avenue for boosting potential of pupils.

    In a statement by Oniyitan  Ezekiel Akinbode ,the foundation’s spokesperson, it  congratulated  the winners of the Perfect Science and Mathematics Challenge organised by The Perfect Assurance School, Yewa,Ogun State.

    The competition was aimed at boosting the  level of intelligence among pupils in  Yewa region and foster a sense of belonging within the  community.

    The foundation said  such initiative would help to  nurture young talents and creating opportunities for personal growth and development.

    “The winners of the Perfect Science and Mathematics Challenge have exhibited exemplary skills and knowledge in the fields of science and mathematics. Their dedication, hard work, and exceptional performance deserve commendation. The PFA & Friends Foundation is proud to recognise their achievements and encourages them to continue pursuing their passion for learning and exploration,” it said.

    It praised the school for its dedication to intellectual development and for having positive impact on the community.

    The foundation reiterated its commitment to  empowering youths and supporting initiatives that promote academic excellence and personal growth.

    ‘Free UTME registration for pupils’

    PFA & Friends Foundation, a non governmental organisation, is planning free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration for pupils in Yewa, Ogun State.

    Founder, Fatai Adewusi, noted the foundation is poised to address financial constraints faced by talented and deserving pupils.

    He said the initiative not only reflects a commitment to academic excellence but also highlights the power of collaboration between public figures, leaders, and educational experts.

    Adewusi, son of a teacher, called for equal opportunities in education, stressing every pupil, regardless of financial background, should access higher learning.

    He said: “The foundation will allocate sufficient funds to cover JAMB registration fees while also leveraging  partnership with private organisations and individuals to enhance the initiative.”

    He acknowledged individuals managing the initiative, Yinusa Babatunde, Bolu Salako, Oniyitan Ezekiel Akinbode and Dr Seun Abati, the coordinator.
