    Jegede sai: “At Phase3, we take pride in being part of Africa’s digital transformation story.

    This milestone is a testament to our people, partners, and clients who have continuously trusted our capabilities.

    He said the company is marking the milestone this week, adding that it has been over two decades of innovation, resilience, and impact in the digital ecosystem.

    Since its establishment in 2003, Phase3 has remained at the forefront of bridging digital gaps through robust connectivity solutions, infrastructure expansion, and strategic partnerships that power businesses, government agencies, and individuals across Nigeria and the wider subregion.

    To commemorate the anniversary, the company is hosting a mini celebration with its staff and partners at its Lagos office.     Digital infrastructure and connectivity solutions provider, Phase 3 Telecom, has called for accelerated investment in digital infrastructure to drive inclusive economic growth across the West African sub-region.

    The session, moderated by Russell Southwood, explored the infrastructure imperatives necessary to close Africa’s connectivity gap.

    “Africa’s future rests on how fast we can close the digital divide. Cross-border infrastructure is not just about cables- it is about unlocking opportunities, advancing equity, and enabling regional prosperity,” Jegede said.

    In a move that aligns with Phase3 Telecom has entered into partnership with Laser Light Africa, a subsidiary of Laser Light Companies to deliver an innovative Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution across the 600km terrestrial fibre corridor connecting Lagos, Nigeria, to Accra, Ghana.

    Branded Fiber Meets AI, this initiative is tailored to advance scalable, low-latency compute and storage solutions, serving one of Africa’s most rapidly urbanising regions. With a population projected to exceed 50 million by 2027, the Lagos–Accra corridor represents a high-priority axis for technological empowerment and inclusive connectivity.

    Speaking on the initiative, Phase3’s Chief Growth Officer, Mr. Craig Lowe, said: “This partnership marks a pivotal moment in our roadmap to enhance the digital ecosystem across West Africa. By leveraging our aerial fibre infrastructure and strategically located micro data centers, we are enabling hyperscalers, CSPs, and enterprises to deploy high-performance cloud services closer to end users- facilitating improved latency, secure connectivity, and AI-ready platforms.”

    In addition to terrestrial deployment, Laser Light Africa will provide space-based redundancy through its forthcoming all-optical satellite constellation- bolstering network resilience and broadening digital access across ECOWAS markets.
