Oyo Prince Adebayo acquires land for Federal institution in Iresa-Adu

Prince Adebayo Kayode popularly Prince Adebayo of Iresa has provided lands for the Federal College of Agriculture in Iresa-Adu.

The gesture came after the institution has been operating on a temporary site for two years over failure to secure a permanent site over land disputes.

It was gathered that there were alleged plans to move the institution out of the town, which had been averted by the intervention of Prince Adebayo.

After being contacted, Prince Adebayo who resides in the United Kingdom, purchased the necessary hectares of land needed for the institution full establishment on Iresa-Adu soil.

Prince Adebayo said: The FEDERAL COLLEGE is the first ever Higher Institution anywhere on Iresa-Adu soil and to loose it over land disputes will be regrettable.  There are people who have already worked tirelessly to bring the institution here to Iresa-Adu in first place.

“We cannot sit back and watch all that effort go to waste. The permanent site was handpicked by Federal College stakeholders, I am honoured to have played a historical role in securing the land for the institution”.

Prince Adebayo purchased the hectares of land directly from the Surulere local government Iresa-Adu, Oyo State.

All documents including red copy document for the land have been finalised at the State level.

As the founder and sole financier of IRESA ROYAL FOUNDATION with numerous projects across Iresa for over five years, from STUDENT RELIEF LOAN programme to EMPOWERMENT programme, from FOOTBALL tournament to COVID-19 food distribution,  from yearly EID celebration to yearly CHRISTMAS CHILDREN’S PARTY, and many other projects.

The Prince has proven commitments in bridging the gap between the elders and youths to move his ancestral home of Iresa-Adu to greater heights.

According to one of the elders in the town: “We have been yearning for an higher institution in this town for a long time. Iresa plays an historical role in Yoruba history, older than Ogbomoso and many other towns around us, yet other towns have more development than us. Thank God for our son Prince Adebayo for stepping in at this very moment”.

One of the women leaders in the ancient town, she said: “I was not a child when Aresa Oyedepo sold that land to the Local Government in the early 1990s. The land is theirs and the school wanted it for school, so we have to buy it back, but everyone knows the situation of Nigeria. Our son, Prince Adebayo have always tried his best for this town, we pray he does not get tired”.

In an emotional reaction from some of the youths in the town, one of them said, “We have been working with Prince Adebayo on every one of his projects, he has never disappointed Iresa. This is by far an historical achievement, because we will benefit from the higher institution, our grand children and future generations will benefit from it as well”.
