  • Engaging the power of faith for fulfilment of prophecies!

Welcome to the concluding part of this teaching! I hope you were blessed by the teaching of last week. Today, we shall focus on: Engaging the Power of Faith for Fulfilment of Prophecies!

It is important to know that the Bible is a bank of prophecies because every statement therein is prophetic in nature. It is written: Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them (Isaiah 34:16; see also 2 Peter 1:19-21). Thus, every prophecy from God as contained in the Bible is ordained for fulfilment. As it is written: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11). However, we must understand that prophecies are not religious wishes; but the unfolding of God’s agenda as it relates to individuals, people, institutions or nations. Thus, prophecies will require our faith to be fulfilled. In other words, when we believe prophetic verdicts, they become binding on God to perform (Luke 1:45; Deuteronomy 18:21-22).

    But, what is Faith?

    • Faith is not a Religious Theory, but a Mystery of the Kingdom: It is written: Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience (1Timothy 3:9). Theories and principles are forces in the natural realm but faith is a spiritual force that invokes God’s hand into our situation and delivers unbelievable results. For instance, when the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, He felt virtue flowed out of Him and she was made whole instantly. When Jesus later met her, He said, “Thy faith has made thee whole.” This means faith taps into divine virtue for our change of story and that is what makes it a mystery in the Kingdom (Mark 5:25-31).
    • Faith is not a Belief System, it is a Spiritual Weapon: Through faith Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego tapped into divine nature and quenched the fiery furnace. It is written: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens (Hebrews 11:33-34). Their understanding provoked their faith and translated their bodies from the terrestrial to the celestial realm, which could not be consumed by the furnace (2 Peter 1:4; Ephesians 6:16; Daniel 3:28; 1 Corinthians 15:38-41).
    • Bible-based Faith is of the Heart and not of the Head: When Bible faith takes root and comes alive in our hearts, it rules and dominates our minds (Romans 10:10). As a result, we operate at levels higher than our natural understanding. This helps us to understand that through faith, we are empowered to overcome, dominate and determine what happens in our lives (1 John 5:4; Isaiah 55:8).
    • Bible-based Faith Manifests its Power through the Tongue: Bible faith is impotent without the active engagement of our tongues (Mark 11:23). This is because it is by the words of our mouth that we are justified or condemned. Moreover, whatever we are not willing to declare with our mouths, God is not committed to deliver (2 Corinthians 4:13; Proverbs 18:21; Matthew 12:37).

How then, do we engage the Power of Faith in the Fulfilment of Prophecies in our Lives?

    • Inject Faith into the Prophetic Word: Talking about Abraham, the Bible says: And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:19-20). Whatever God speaks with His mouth, His hands are able to perform. Thus, it is by His hands that prophecies are fulfilled; however, it is our faith that invokes His hand to perform (Luke 1:45; Isaiah 53:1).
    • Be Expectant: The reason many people’s faith do not deliver is because it lacks the required expectations. Like I always say: What we don’t expect, we are not permitted to experience. For instance, Abraham engaged the force of expectation until he saw the manifestation of Isaac in his life. The Bible records: Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be (Romans 4:18).
    • Engage Faith-filled Thoughts: We must be careful about what we think because our thoughts determine our takes in life. It is written: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he… (Proverbs 23:7). The thoughts of fulfilment of prophecies must occupy our minds because if God said it, then He is too faithful to fail. Therefore, we must gird up the loins of our minds and think only of things that are of good report (Philippians 4:8). In addition, we must not allow our minds to wander in doubts, because a double-minded man cannot receive anything from God (James 1:6-8).

In summary, we must note that our faith does not only grow by revelations from scriptures but also through anointed books of proven authors. For instance, Philip was sent to help the understanding of the Ethiopian Eunuch for his faith to grow. It, therefore, implies that our level of understanding would be limited except we humble ourselves and learn from God-ordained vessels. Remember, it is to us according to our faith and our faith is determined by our level of spiritual understanding (Romans 10:17; Acts 8: 26-39). However, to access spiritual understanding, you must be born again. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!” For further reading, please get my books: Unlimited Power of Faith, Exploits of Faith, Born to Win and Satan get Lost. • 2017 great prophecies unveiled

A Very Happy New to You and a very warm welcome to the debut edition of this column.   May 2017 be all you ever wished for, and more.

Out rightly, I admit I am not among the Prophets, I am a simple layman, and not in any way in the clergy.

But you see, The Princess Files has noted with dismay that all those saddled with the task of prophesying have either refused to or are not able to release anything of worth by way of notable prophecies for 2017.  Since ‘nature’ abhors such ‘vacuum’ and the times are still early, I have chosen, by personal election to make the following prophecies and pronouncements for the new year just come in, 2017.

The beauty of my prophecies is that – unlike other Apostles, Prophets and Prophetesses, Seers and (General) Overseers, I will stand by every word of Prophecy of mine- and that is a Promise.

The unique thing about my prophecies is that I will be giving you a list of people, places and events THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN, and the time for the expiry of these prophecies is the year Twenty Nineteen.

    First off – The Presidency.

Sarah Jubril.  PDP advances free forms to female candidates wanting to contest for President or Governor.  And Sarah might be desiring to stretch out her hands again to grab the free offer dangling temptingly before her eyes- quite like the case of Eve in the garden of Eden.Sarah Jubrin has been contesting to be Nigeria’s President since I was a small girl living in Zaria.

For the Prophecy:  Will NEVER be President.

Alh Aliyu Gusau. ‘ They’ have taken your “Turn”, under the coded “Turn by Turn” Government.

Sir Alex Ekwueme.  Former Vice President and foundation member of    G34 .But not even the Presidential primaries, would he get by.

    GOVERNORSHIP

Lagos StateMr. Jimi Agbaje said he would not contest the governorship any longer.  Spot On, for my prophecy.

Chief (Mrs) Remi Adiukwu Bakare -Adiukwu.

Has Contested For Governorship On Nearly All Registered Political Parties in the country.

My prophecy – she needs to Give It Up, Before It Gives Up On Her!

‘Gentlemen’ Femi Pedro-Please do not allow the praise singers and money-sucking sycophants come around and persuade you to run.

    You Won’t Win.

    BAYELSA

Mrs. Deziani Alison Madueke.  I saw your billboards and posters for Bayelsa Governorship all over Oppolo last time.   Now see 2017 as a NO Go Area for you.  I know the forms are free, still, No.

Sen. Emmanuel Paulkner.  The generality of Yenagoa youths had reserved their votes to put their former Sports Commissioner into the Senate last time.  They have had to make do with having Hon. Douye Diri in a Lower House now.  That’s because Sen. Paulkner just had to contest the last governorship primaries.  Predictably he lost, and so went running back to the Senate.  But Sen Paulkner – actually, don’t ever contest for anything again, let alone Bayelsa Governorship.

    ONDO

Even after the great pile off profit that he made from the tax consultancy for the Obasanjo administration was gulped down sycophants, Mr Jimoh Ibrahim has refused to remove his eyes from the contest for the Ondo top spot. Every time he gathers what to him appears as sufficient liquid cash – he goes with gusto into the race and falls with a thud, right out of the primaries!

My prophecy is – even again – it won’t work.  He needs to Lay Off.

And Mr. Peter  Obafemi of the defunct World Airlines – 2019 will not be worth it for you.

    CROSS RIVER

Barrister Joseph Agi (SAN).  This very learned gentleman, from the same Obudu axis as the incumbent, contested the last PDP primaries in Cross River, and came 2nd.  But even with a score line of 11 to Sen. Ben Ayade’s 726 votes, Barr. Agi still decided to head for the courts, right up to the Supreme Court, over what should have only been an internal party matter.  He lost the 3 counts.

The Prophecy is a loss for 2019 too.

    ABIA

The rightful Governor of Abia in his time, is right now seated as a Senator in the National Assembly.  My prophecy – Wise Move.  Stay on.… Sen Eninnaya Abaribe!

    AKWA IBOM.

I have a sad feeling that neither this first one nor his supporters will like what I am going to prophecy.  In fact, they may all even decide not to like me at all after this.

But, like the ‘True’ Oracle I can only tell it like the Oracle goes.

Seasoned technocrat and astute political mover and shaker, his diligence at work was noticed early by the military administrators in that era.  The result was rapid promotion recommended for him at an early age and since then there has been no looking back. No doubt right now he must be gearing up for the next Governorship Election.  He will do his best in his current position of Chief Executive Officer of the Oil & Gas Free Trade Zone Authority.  That is only if Mr. Umana Okon Umana nurses no further political ambition. He should not try 2019.  Because he will not ever be Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

In the last electioneering cycle, Nigeria saw a group of candidates named G22 who made a political statement by their stance in the  governorship race that time. Let me prophecy for few of them now.

With the exception of those who pulled out of the G22 group – the prophecy for the rest is: they will lose the 2019 Contest.  Horribly. They should not contest.

And finally, the ‘Light of Akwa Ibom’ the ever-smiling and personable

Bishop Samuel Friday Akpan.  He put all his confidence in Ex Gov Godswill Obot Akpabio, believing that since he (Bishop) installed Akpabio by the instrumentally of his group the AKPF, Akpabio would in turn handover to him.  But signs then indicated that it wasn’t going to happen.  He then put all his faith in the Prophecy of his Church Leader – talking about The Brotherhood of  The Cross & Star.  Having been prophesied into victory, nothing seemingly, could stop the Bishop.  But There Was No Bishop for the Hilltop.

So now for 2019 – I hereby Prophecy – please Don’t Go.  So You Don’t Lose.

The thing is, my list is by no means exhaustive.  There is actually more to come.  But only AS THE “SPIRIT” LEADS!

  • 2017: Prophecies, predictions and policies

“The best way to predict the future is to create it”
    – Peter Drucker

To start with, let me be upfront in declaring my lack of qualification for the elevated title of a prophet. I am not a prophet and I very much doubt if I can ever make one by any stretch of imagination.
Just as I am not prophetic, I also cannot make any pretensions to being clairvoyant. Indeed, I have no orbuculum and can therefore not be involved in the act of scrying.
However, in spite of these seeming shortcomings, I dare say that I can see the future. Without the aid of crystal balls, I can see a future where Ogun State grows its Gross Domestic Product, GDP, from its current position of $20bn annually to $100bn within the next 10 years.
That is not all. I can also see a future where someone resident in Ogun State can arrive Lagos for work, business or any other purposes, after a 20mins train ride.
I can see a future where an international airport in Ogun State becomes a major hub for the movement of goods, machineries, people and services in and out of Nigeria thereby completing the meaning of the state’s appellation as the gateway to not just the rest of Nigeria but also the West African sub region.
Now, since I am neither a prophet nor a fortune-teller, how did I see this future that I have so painted? Well, Peter Drucker, the Austrian-born American management guru already took care of that when he said, “the best way to predict the future is to create it.”
And that is exactly what Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, is doing in Ogun State at the moment. He is busy creating the desired future of the Gateway state.
“One of the strategies towards achieving this aim is to attract investments into the state,” he recently said.
To make this happen, the state government however realizes the need to first put infrastructure in place. “This is why we have embarked on massive infrastructural development. At the commencement of our massive road construction and redesign across the state, even some of our steadfast supporters never believed we could achieve what we have achieved.
“Today, these projects have opened up Ogun State as the investment destination of choice in the country. Indeed, Ogun State has emerged the fastest growing state economy and is now the industrial capital of Nigeria by all indices, giving further proof of our actions. We have been able to attract 543 new industries in the five years of our administration, all of which have invested not less than $50 million each. Of these industries, 110 have invested between $200 million and $2 billion,” Governor Amosun said.
Realising that in order to achieve massive industrialisation, there is the need to support road transportation with rail transportation, the state government has concluded plans to have the ground-breaking ceremony for its proposed light-rail project within the first quarter of 2017.
The first phase of the proposed Ogun Light Rail Network is approximately 102.3km and consists of two lines namely: Abeokuta (Panseke) – Sagamu Interchange – Sagamu Town (49.8 km) and Ogere Town – Sagamu Interchange – Berger (52.5km).
This first phase of the rail line was selected to take advantage of the existing traffic on the Lagos to Sagamu section of the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, which is the busiest road in Nigeria with an Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) of over 40,000.
This phase also connects Abeokuta, the State Capital to the rapidly growing industrial zone of Sagamu and commercial zone of Ogere.
As part of efforts to create the desired future, the Ogun State government is also keying in to the potentials provided by agriculture and agri-business. “We are exploring an Agro-Politan development strategy which emphasises the localisation of the entire value chain that agriculture provides: Grow-Process-Store–Package–Market-Sell. This will ensure that millions of our citizens, especially youth, will be engaged in the agricultural value chain and will be able to prosper wherever they are,” Governor Amosun said.
Closely related to this, is the reforestation project of the state government. For this, Ogun State already has two sites at Aworo and Imeko. Apart from the fact that the projects will go a long way in improving the quality of the environment, it will also boost forestry development plan and promote investment in the timber industry.
“Since most of the people who will drive the agriculture and forestry sectors are mostly rural dwellers, the year 2017 will witness huge rural road construction.
“We will take advantage of the opportunities provided by the World Bank through the Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP) to ensure easy access to farm produce and mobility of dwellers to modern facilities such as pipe borne water, electricity and qualitative health care delivery,” Governor Amosun said.
Of course when you attract investments and investors, you then also have to make provisions for their housing needs. In this respect, the Ogun State government is making efforts to create the desired future by continuing with the development of the New Makun City; MITROS City in Isheri; New Government City in Kobape; New Cities in Ota and Agbara; New GRA in Ijebu-Ode, and the President Muhammadu Buhari Housing Estate, Kobape, among others.
So, won’t these new projects affect the completion of ongoing ones? The governor’s answer is an emphatic no. “Let me again re-assure you that the commencement of new projects will not in any way affect the completion of on-going projects spread across the three senatorial districts. By the grace of God, I assure you that we will not leave any project uncompleted,” he said recently.
Indeed, in the present day Ogun State, nearly anyone can claim to be a prophet or seer and this is because the state government is clearly creating the future.

  • Provoking fulfilment of prophecies through praise!

We understand from scriptures that the process of seeing prophecies fulfilled is warfare. That means, it takes putting up a fight to see prophecies fully delivered. This is because every plan and purpose of God for man is more often than not resisted by the devil from being delivered. As it is written: Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle (Deuteronomy 2:24; see also 1 Timothy 1:18).

For instance, it was God’s divine agenda for Israel to be in Egypt for 400 years but they were held captive by the gods of Egypt for 30 extra years. As a result, it took the mighty hand of God, His outstretched arm, His great terribleness in dealing with all oppositions on their way and His divine power in signs and wonders to see that prophecy fulfilled. The Bible says: And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders (Deuteronomy 26:8; see also Genesis 15:13-15).

This gives us a picture of the warfare involved in seeing prophecies fulfilled. We must understand that every prophetic word is an open door that attracts many adversaries. It is written: For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries (1 Corinthians 16:9).

When these adversaries are allowed, they contend with, resist and withstand us from experiencing the fulfilment of prophecies in our lives. That is why we are admonished in scriptures to: Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1Timothy 6:12).

We are to put up a fight against all satanic strongholds to see God’s plans fulfilled in our lives. When God steps in, our battles are won without sweat because the ultimate of our victory is God’s intervention. We must recognize that engaging God’s direct intervention in our battles guarantees continuous triumph.  However, securing God’s presence requires praise.

Most of our battles, particularly warfare towards fulfilment of prophecy, will require God stepping in for us to command victory. This is because only the hand of God can fully deliver His plan. It is written: …Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled (1 Kings 8:15). It is important to note that praise is a spiritual facilitator of the hand of God because He inhabits the praise of His people.

Let’s examine some scriptural instances where toughest battles were won through praise.

    • When the Israelites left Egypt, they sang praises to God. At the instance of their praise, the Red Sea gave way to God’s presence. It is written: Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (Exodus 15:11; see also Exodus 14:13-15, 15:20-21). They retained God’s presence for forty years, because the praise required to keep Him in their midst, was in place.
    • By word of prophecy, God said to Judah: …Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you (2 Chronicles 20:14-17).

As they obeyed, God set ‘ambushment’ against their enemies and they were all smitten, thus fulfilling the prophetic word from the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:22).

v            Also, a combination of a ‘long blast’ trumpet and a ‘long blast’ shout of praise as instructed by God brought down the wall of Jericho. The Bible says: So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city (Joshua 6:20; see also Joshua 6:1-5,15-16; Psalms 47:1-2).

    • The prison gates gave way to Paul and Silas through praise: The Bible says: If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36).

Paul and Silas could not be free without praise. In spite of their hands being bound, they prayed and sang aloud, and God stepped in. The Bible records: And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed (Acts 16:26).

    • Furthermore, as Jesus gave thanks, Lazarus came back to life. Concerning Jesus, the Bible says: Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live (John 5:25).

Until Jesus engaged the mystery of thanksgiving at the tomb of Lazarus, that prophecy was not fulfilled (John 11:41-44).

From the above instances, it means that every shout of praise always steers God into action. That is, God will only come down in response to our praises, and until God comes down, prophecies may not be fully realised. That means, until we engage in praise warfare, we may not experience full delivery of prophecies (Psalms 22:3).

We must therefore understand that though every prophetic word is a sworn verdict from God or through His prophets, it must be activated in faith through the mystery of praise before it can be delivered. Thus, to see prophecies fulfilled, we must rejoice evermore like Hannah, who at the instance of the prophetic word from Eli wore a joyful countenance and prophecy was fulfilled in her life (1 Samuel 1:13-19; Isaiah 14:24).

Henceforth, as we see the mystery of praise as an irrefutable platform for divine intervention and engage same with all our heart and might, God will personally intervene in our affairs in Jesus’ name! Remain ever blessed!

Are you born again? This means, have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord? If you haven’t, you can do so by saying this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”

  • ‘Why some prophecies are delayed’

    ‘Why some prophecies are delayed’

The general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), Auchi, Edo State, Apostle Johnson Suleman, spoke with Adetutu Audu on leadership and the nation. Excerpts:

What’s your candid view of the current crop of leadership in Nigeria?

Well, the current leadership, from President Muhammadu Buhari to the governors down to the local councils, couldn’t have been in power today but for God, which reminds me of the prophecy I made recently about God wanting to effect changes in the nation’s leadership at the center because He had decided to rescue the nation from the clutches of misrule of the past.

I will thereby ask the current leadership not to tempt God; they should fight for people and not fight for their individual pocket and stomach. Their positions should not be seen as avenues to further choke the masses; they should work to rescue the ordinary people who defied the rain and scorching sun to cast their votes for them to be where they are today.

How do you feel when you some of your prophecies don’t come to pass?

I have always said this. The day every prophecy you give comes to pass 100 per cent, you have become God. I’m not God. I derive my messages from God. So, if I gave three messages and you see the three coming to pass does not mean there are none that are being delayed.

Therefore, 45 coming to pass out of 50 prophecies is a fulfillment. I said some prophecies are delayed not that they will not come to pass because God does not speak in vain. You may have prophecies this year and you see them coming to fulfillment the next year or two. That is the dynamism God’s words.

For example, I said recently that God told me that Mama HID Awolowo needed prayers to survive the month of September as well as the Boko Haram bombings that killed many in Borno about three weeks back before the latest Abuja bombing, which I even told my congregation would happen a day before.

Far before the former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, started having troubles with the last government, I predicted that he would be made Kano king and it came to pass. But before the prophecy came to fulfillment, many unbelievers were skeptical of the message. So, you need to study prophecies before you can understand prophecies.

What’s the uniqueness of Johnson Suleman as an Apostle of God?

In Nigeria today, there are more than enough pastors who claim to specialize in performing miracles, prophecy, healing and more. But I, Johnson Suleman, stand out with uniquely divine powers that impact on lives of millions of people across the world.

God speaks through me to not just Nigerians but to Africans and citizens of foreign nations. So, I want to say that God raised Johnson Suleman to wipe out tears, restore people to their destinies by the revelation of the word with manifestation of power and reality of the Holy Spirit.

You spoke about charity. Tell us more about it and those who benefit from it

This is something we have been doing since the church was born. We do transfer the donations that we receive from non-members of the church to the vulnerable members of church like widows and orphans. This is our primary responsibility.

Yearly, we give out cars and cash donations to the needy within and outside the church. We don’t need to keep repeating that since the birth of Omega Fire Ministries, wonders of different versions have happened and it has always been testaments galore.

Barren women have given birth to babies after attending miracle programmes with us while many have received healings, secured employment, financial breakthroughs, turnarounds in their respective businesses and deliverance from ancestral curses. These are what endear us to the multitudes that witness the church’s services across the 42 countries where we have branches.

With branches in 42 countries, how far have you traveled the world to spread the gospel?

Since the birth of Omega Fire Ministry eleven years ago, I have traveled to about 92 countries of the world preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and I have met with more than twenty African presidents who I had prayed with and prophesied for their respective countries.

We have a ministry that is fast growing. Presently, we have a new auditorium under construction that will house 70, 000 and be one of the biggest churches in the world. The launch of the multimillion dollars Celebration TV two years ago is also a testament of God’s grace that accompanies the ministry.

  • Don’t commercialise prophecies, cleric charges

The chief chaplain of Grace Institute of Pastoral Counseling (GIPEC), Rev. (Dr) Bartholomew Dimanozie, has admonished ministers of God to desist from giving false prophecies to enrich themselves.

He spoke during the body’s annual programme for the less privileged in the society.

The event, which also featured awards to deserving members of the public and commissioning of new chaplains from different parts of the country, held at the Golden Gate Paradise, Ikoyi, Lagos.

He said: “My fellow men of God, it is better for us to go back to our first love. If we do, He that called us will reignite his love in us and we would begin to preach, ‘it is written’.

“When you meet people in government, don’t begin to prophesy what you are not told to. When you meet with people in power, tell them thus says the Lord and that it is not worthy to do this or do that. Ministers of God should not go about telling lies to get envelopes.”

He advised Nigerians to vote only for personalities that fear God and not for political parties.

According to him:”When the righteous is on the throne, the people will be happy. If we vote for the right people, they will be able to do things aright and we will be able to move forward.

“You don’t judge people by what they say during campaign. You vote for people based on what they did yesterday and not what they are doing now.
