The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Genesis Global, led by Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe—popularly known as Prophet Genesis—is set to host a major prayer conference in Lagos themed ‘5G: Grace, Growth, Glory, Grit, and God.’
The Standout Prayer Conference is scheduled to take place on July 27, 2025, at Victoria Garden, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos .
Speaking in a recent interview, Prophet Genesis described the conference as a divinely inspired gathering, aimed at spiritual growth, restoration, and deeper encounters with the Holy Spirit. “This is not just a prayer event—it’s a movement,” he said.
“People should expect transformation, renewal of faith, and spiritual awakening.”
According to him, “5G” reflects the five pillars the conference is built upon: Grace, Growth, Glory, Grit, and God. He emphasized that the purpose of the gathering is not monetary or theatrical but to “impart Christ” to all attendees through prayer, fasting, and scriptural teaching.
Addressing criticisms about unscriptural practices sometimes associated with churches under the Celestial Church umbrella, Prophet Genesis was quick to distance Genesis Global from such acts.
“Yes, the Celestial Church of Christ is a broad umbrella,” he said. “Unfortunately, some have exploited that cover to introduce questionable doctrines and practices. But in Genesis Global, we teach only the word of God. We do not engage in candle rituals, stream bathing, or other unscriptural spiritual performances. Here, it’s Christ-centered worship, prayer, fasting, and the Word.”

Weighing in on the growing debate about gospel artists demanding fees to minister, Prophet Genesis called for understanding and mutual respect between pastors and gospel ministers.
“Many gospel artistes do this full-time—they don’t have other jobs. If churches can invest in media setups and luxurious church aesthetics, they should also honor the labor of these ministers. It’s not about buying miracles, it’s about valuing commitment,” he said.
As anticipation builds for the Standout Prayer Conference, Prophet Genesis concluded with a heartfelt invitation to all seeking spiritual revival: “This is your moment. God is calling people into something deeper, something eternal. If you attend with an open heart, you won’t leave the same.”
