  • EGBUCHULAM TRANSFER SAGA: No agreement with Etoile Sportive Du Sahel – Rangers FC

     

    The management of Rangers International of Enugu has said that the Tunisian club, Etoile Sportive Du Sahel has illegally poached its player, Chisom Egbuchulam.
    The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions stressed that the Flying Antelopes have not agreed any terms with Etoile Sportive Du Sahel over Egbuchulam’s move to the club.
    A statement by the Director Media and Public Relations of Rangers FC, Foster Chime, said Rangers FC did not give any official permission to Egbuchulam to travel to Tunisia therefore declaring the star player missing.
    Chime said Rangers FC officially received letter of interest on Egbuchulam, which was replied and communicated to Etoile Sportive Du Sahel accordingly.
    The club maintains that Egbuchulam can only be transferred for a fee of five hundred thousand dollars and still remains a bonafide Rangers player till January, 2018.
    Rangers’ board also warned other interested clubs, including Etoile Sportive Du Sahel to open appropriate official communications channels with Rangers FC if interested in the player rather than circumventing the extant and stipulated NFF, CAF and FIFA rules to poach our player.
    He said: “The club has already officially communicated NFF, CAF and FIFA on the poaching of our player, Chisom Egbuchulam by Etoile Sportive Du Sahel of Tunisia, and warned that the club is ready to invoke all means at its disposal to protect her player from this unwanted act.”

    Nigeria professional football league champions Rangers international of Enugu have flagged of census of its fan base across the country and beyond.  The exercise the Nation gathered, is not only aimed at identifying real fans of the coal city based club but also enable the club serve its fans and well wishers better.  The flying Antelopes suffered 32 years trophy drought but ultimately broke the jinx this year clinching the league in style to earn a ticket to represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions league alongside Rivers United.  The online exercise expects fans to state their names, age,sex location, email address and phone number.  The Nation further gathered that a more interactive relationship is being planned between the club and its fans with the fans at liberty to suggest from time to time what they think the club is doing right and wrong all aimed at improvement for the better.
    The coach Imama Amapakabo tutored side has continued to shape up ahead of the new premier league season even as the coach has declared that the team will do everything possible to put up a good show in the continent.
     “”We are equal to the task and are determined to make an impact in the Champions league,”he enthused
    Rangers dished out the call for fan census Wednesday using the club’s twitter, adding,”we encourage all our fans to fill our fan survey to help us serve you better.”

    Nwabulu, Henlong, Waziri dump Wikki Tourists for Rangers

     
    The league champions, Rangers International of Enugu have raided Wikki Tourists of their best players in its bid to form a formidable squad ahead of next season’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and CAF Champions League campaigns.
    SportingLife can reveal that Wikki Tourists’ trio of goalkeeper Emeka Nwabulu, left full back Christopher Waziri and Charles Henlong have pitched tent with the Flying Antelopes.
    Nwabulu, Waziri and Henlong were integral part of Coach Abdul Maikaba’s squad that won the CAF Confederation Cup ticket for the Bauchi-based outfit after finishing third in the NPFL last season. Maikaba has also dumped Wikki Tourists for Akwa United.
    “Ever since the team resumed camping, we didn’t see Nwabulu, Waziri and Henlong in the camp. What we are hearing is that they have moved to Rangers. Although, the management has not said anything about their move but I don’t think they will play here next season,” a source told SportingLife.
    Information from Wikki Tourists camp also revealed that majority of the first choice players have shown interest of moving to another club ahead of next season but the management is doing everything to keep them.
