    Why I want to relocate to Lagos – US Rapper DDG

    American rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG, has revealed plans to relocate to Lagos, Nigeria, as his custody battle with ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey over their 17-month-old son, Halo, continues.

    In a post on X (formerly Twitter), DDG wrote, “I’m so tired of living in LA. I can’t wait til I move to Lagos, Nigeria.”

    The rapper had earlier hinted in January 2025 that he was considering leaving the US for either London or Lagos, citing dissatisfaction with life in America.

    The custody battle between DDG and Bailey has been highly publicised, with Bailey previously alleging physical and emotional abuse and obtaining a temporary restraining order against DDG.

    Davido to hosts US rapper DDG, son in Lagos

    American rapper DDG has announced that he will be visiting Lagos after receiving an offer from Davido.

    DDG, on X, expressed gratitude and excitement after Davido offered to host him and son Halo in Lagos.

    He stated that Davido has assured him that he’s “good” in Lagos.

    “My homie davido said im good in Lagos.. finna book me & halo flight,” he wrote.

    The Nation reported that DDG expressed desire to leave America, citing a lack of fulfillment and considering Lagos or London as potential new homes.
