    Coker-Aguda presents budget of Renewed Hope

    The Chairman of Coker-Aguda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Razaq Ibrahim, has presented N8.2 billion budget to the legislature.

    Tagged: ‘‘Budget of Renewed Hope,’’ Ibrahim outlined the proposed budget’s key allocations, highlighting critical areas such as infrastructural development, healthcare, education, security and youth empowerment.

    He emphasised that the budget was meticulously crafted to address the needs of residents and promote sustainable development in the council.

    He said: “The 2025 budget is designed to ensure the continued progress and prosperity of our community. We are focused on improving the living standards of our people, while ensuring the judicious use of public funds to deliver on our promises of growth and development.”

    The council boss assured the legislative arm that the budget proposal was in line with the aspirations of the people, ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery.

    He urged the lawmakers to review the document and provide their invaluable feedback to ensure that the final budget aligns with the developmental goals of Coker-Aguda LCDA.

    Leader of the House, Bolaji Ogedengbe, promised swift and efficient action on the appropriation bill. The Leader emphasised that the theme,  “Renewed Hope,” resonated with the aspirations of the people and therefore the budget will be passed without undue delay.

    “The proposed budget aligns with the needs and hopes of the people. We understand the importance of the measures outlined in it and will ensure that it undergoes a comprehensive yet expedited review process,” he said.

    Several lawmakers also echoed this sentiment, expressing a shared understanding of the urgency involved.

    The Chairman of Coker-Aguda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Razaq Ibrahim (aka RIO), has donated school materials, including socks, shoes, books and uniforms to pupils.

    He said that the initiative was part of his broader mission to promote educational development and provide support to families within the Coker-Aguda LCDA.

    He added that the gesture is aimed at alleviating the challenges faced by students and foster a conducive learning environment.

    “Investing in our children is investing in our community’s future, these materials will help empower our students to focus on their studies and reach their full potential,” he said.

    Ibrahim noted that the donation was met with enthusiasm from pupils and educators.

    The schools’ representatives expressed gratitude to the council boss.
