A non-governmental organisation, Real Experience Missions International, has enlightened residents of Ibadan on building healthy relationships and understanding business laws.
The programme tagged “The Wisdom of God in Man” was organised by the non-governmental organization chaired by Professor Ayo Osisanya of the University of Ibadan.
Mr. Ashiru Babatunde, the first speaker, delivered a thought-provoking session on cultivating healthy relationships. He emphasised the virtues of humility, purpose identification and problem-solving in relationships.
Highlighting marriage as a union requiring maturity, he advised individuals to embrace forgiveness, support one another and prioritise a relationship with Christ for a fulfilling marital life.
“Humility, forgiveness and being a hand-lifter are critical pillars for any successful relationship,” Babatunde stated, adding that purpose-driven relationships thrive better when God is at the center.
Barrister F Ayodele, the second speaker, focused on the legal framework of business operations in Nigeria. He emphasised the importance of registering businesses with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to access numerous benefits, including legal recognition, attracting investors and establishing corporate accounts. “Business registration gives your enterprise a structure and enhances transparency which paves the way for private and governmental investments,” Ayodele explained.
He also highlighted the significance of obtaining a Tax Identification Number (TIN) and complying with regulations from bodies like SCUML (Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering) for lawful operations. Additionally, Ayodele differentiated between business names, incorporated trustees and registered companies, thus, encouraged entrepreneurs to formalise their ventures to maximise potential.
Also, some students were awarded certificates and cash prizes for performing excellently in the second edition of the essay writing competition tagged “Patience Adewemimo Osisanya Memorial.” The outreach inspired participants to reflect on their personal and professional lives, leaving them equipped with practical tools for personal growth and business success.
