    Real Warri Pikin holds sold-out comedy show in America

    Nigerian comedian and entertainer, Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, recorded another international milestone on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with a sold-out edition of her comedy show “Unapologetically Me” in Maryland, United States.

    The event, held at the Grand Occasions Laurel, drew a diverse audience of Africans in the diaspora and American fans, who were treated to an evening of laughter, storytelling, and music.

    The Maryland edition follows earlier successful outings of the show in the United Kingdom, Ghana, Warri, and Abuja. The U.S. stop was supported by brands including Finserve, Jollof Etcetera, AfroJamz Network, Buchymix, 1Luv Foods, and Axiom Consults.

    In July 2024, Real Warri Pikin staged the fifth edition of the show in Abuja, attracting over 3,000 people at This Day Dome. That event featured Nigerian musicians Peruzzi and Reekado Banks, alongside performances from comedians Funny Timo, MC Royal, Zigabella, Freemouth, and MC Yanis.

    Organised by RWP Entertainment, “Unapologetically Me” is set to continue its international tour with more shows planned in the U.K., U.S and Canada.

    Real Warri Pikin opens up on new Web series ‘Base on street’

    On November 13, 2024 Nigerian comedian, influencer, and CEO of RWP Entertainment, Anita Alaire Asuoha otherwise known as Real Warri Pikin, set alight on her YouTube channel with a new series tagged “Base On Street”. 

    She has however opened up to THE Nation on what the series is all about, including the plot, and the inspiration behind it.

    According to her, the Web series is hilariously entertaining and educational while shedding light on the ugly side of prostitution and the importance of making a critical decision in one’s life.

    She told THE NATION: “The series follows the journey of two sisters who leave Warri for Lagos in search of greener pastures. When they can’t find their old friend, they’re left stranded and must figure out how to make ends meet. As they take on a series of unconventional jobs, their adventures will keep you entertained and glued to your screen.”

    ” It is set to address the the importance of gathering enough information before venturing into anything and also the importance of thinking critically before making life’s decisions because these decisions can change the entire trajectory of life. 

    “Another aspects that really hits home is the issue of prostitution and how this shouldn’t be a part to choose no matter how hard life is,” she added.

    RWP also revealed that the series was inspired by her love for her “Warri People” and by extension, her fans who according to her deserves nothing but superlative entertainment stemmed in originality and quality.

    “What inspired me to create this series was my love for my Warri people and in general my fans, I wanted something really original and very relatable. The series premiered on YouTube yesterday and would run for approximately 6 months, with plans for additional episodes,” she shared.

    The CEO of RWP futher revealed that the new series is more hilarious and thrilling than her previous series “School of Though” adding that the cast is top draw and off the hook.

    How motivational speaker led my family to N22m debt – Real Warri Pikin

    In recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day, comedienne Real Warri Pikin shared a personal story about how her husband went into debt after following the advice of a motivational speaker.

    Asuoha revealed that her husband, influenced by the speaker, delved into various business ventures, resulting in a N22 million debt.

    Feeling overwhelmed, she said she attempted suicide on June 6, 2018, but was saved by a timely intervention from a neighbour.

    According to her, she is sharing her story to discourage others from considering suicide, emphasising that life’s challenges are temporary and that seeking help and holding on to faith can provide strength to overcome difficulties.

    “I tried suicide so you don’t have to, in 2018, June 6, 3 pm to be precise, I attempted suicide, I gave up on life because the burden was too much.

    “Life just dey hit me left right and centre, life dey turns me round like barber chair. And I felt like the only way to escape was to end the pain.

    “Suicide is making a permanent decision to a temporary problem. And most of all, hold on to God and do the one your power reach,” the comedian said.

    Comedian Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has recounted the scenario that influenced her weight-loss surgery. 

    Real Warri Pikin flaunted her new looks on social media last year after undergoing weight-loss surgery.

    Speaking at a recent function, the comedienne explained that she made the decision after she was embarrassed with an automated bank security.

    She said: “When I was plus-sized, one of the reasons I decided to do weight-loss surgery was an embarrassing situation at the bank. I entered through the bank door and the next thing I heard was, ‘Step back, one at a time, one at time’.”

    She, however, admitted that she is suffering from the side effects of the surgery.

    “Everyone is saying I look better and younger after the surgery but they don’t know what I am passing through. My breasts have become sloppy,” she lamented.

    Comedian, Anita Asuoha popularly known as Real Warri Pikin is reflecting on her weight loss journey, a year after executing it. 

    Celebrating one year of undergoing weight loss surgery, she stated how she dealt with so much, from life threatening sicknesses to event cancellations and depression until she decided to get a weight loss surgery.

    Fortunately, a year after the actress is testifying to be free from all the sicknesses and healthy. 

    She however, admitted that it wasn’t easy undergoing Gastric sleeve surgery as she is burdened with constant heart burn, throwing up, and excess skin. 

    Speaking of her healing process, she said it wasn’t easy but God proved his faithfulness. 

    She wrote: “Wow! It’s ONE YEAR already and all I feel right now is so much gratitude to God, and to everyone who supported me.

    “Just a year ago, I was dealing with so much, from life threatening sicknesses, to event cancellations and depression, until I decided to get a weight loss surgery.

    “One year later, I am free from all the sicknesses I was diagnosed with and I am happy and healthy.

    “I did Gastric sleeve surgery, of course e nor easy!!! I am burdened with constant heart burn, throwing up, excess skin…the entire healing process has been tough, but God has been faithful!

    “I really want to appreciate my dear husband and everyone who encouraged me, stood by me and loved me through the entire journey.

    “Special thanks to all the people who dragged me too It all turned out good for me LOL. I still believe it is one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I can really say right now, that I’m living my best life. Cheers to new beginnings and good health. 130kg – 83kg”.
