    Actress Regina Chukwu has condemned verbal abuse in relationships, stating that it is equally as damaging as physical abuse.

    Addressing men, Chukwu, in an Instagram post, emphasised that hurtful words can have a lasting impact on a woman’s emotional well-being, causing irreparable damage to her heart, confidence and peace.

    According to Chukwu, the effects of verbal abuse can be profound and long-lasting, altering the dynamics of a relationship forever.

    She urged men to be mindful of their words and to treat their partners with respect and kindness.

    “Verbally abusing your woman is just as bad as hitting her, because those words echo in places no apology can reach. 

    “You might not leave marks on her skin, but you’ll leave damage on her heart, her confidence, and her peace. And once a woman’s peace is gone, you’ll never get the same version of her again,” she wrote.

    Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has shared a deeply emotional account of her late husband’s painful struggle with a debilitating illness, revealing the depth of his suffering and desperation before his death.

    In a recently shared video, Regina recounted how her husband’s condition worsened to the point where she had to take him to his family’s village for care.

    Despite efforts by his relatives, including seeking help from pastors and other sources, his health continued to decline.

    In a particularly heartbreaking revelation, the actress disclosed that during their two-month stay in the village, her husband begged her to help end his life.

    He pleaded with her to find a doctor who could give him a lethal injection, saying the pain had become unbearable.

    Regina’s emotional story sheds light on the intense physical and emotional toll of chronic illness and the desperation it can bring to patients and their loved ones.

    “When my husband’s sickness got worse, I decided to take him to his village, and when his family saw him, they couldn’t believe how badly the sickness had affected him. His parents invited pastors and herbalists to give him some treatment.

    “My husband begged me to find him a doctor who would inject him with poison so that he could die. He said the pain was too much for him to bear and that he couldn’t endure it any longer.”

    Actress Regina Chukwu has shared her greatest regret from five years ago while working on a movie set, recalling a traumatic incident that occurred during her stay at a hotel.

    In a video posted on her YouTube channel, Chukwu revealed that she was lodged in the hotel with actor Akin Lewis. 

    Despite having reservations about the hotel’s reputation, she was persuaded by Lewis to stay, saying that the decision led her to a harrowing encounter with armed robbers.

    Chukwu described how the robbers broke into her room, abducted her, and stole money from her using her ATM card.

    She said the experience remains a painful memory for the actress.

    She said: “I was on a particular set about five years ago. And after we finished shooting at 1:00 am. I was lodged alongside actor Akin Lewis in one hotel at Ayilara Street. I was supposed to spend a day on that set, but the producer insisted that I should spend the night because Akin Lewis has to leave early in the morning.

    “When we got to the hotel, I discovered that it was full of prostitutes, so I told them that I wasn’t going to lodge in the hotel. But Akin Lewis pleaded with me to stay, so I had to respect him because of his personality and age, but listening to his plea was my biggest regret.

    “Just when I was undressing myself to sleep, some armed robbers broke the door and took me away to a place where they withdrew all the money in my account with my ATM card”.

If you see an opportunity to be showcased the best you can do is GIVE IT YOUR BEST and don’t tell me those are your best cause I believe you can do better so if I ignore your message that includes your skit video it simply I wasn’t impressed oya go and do better and I will post it for you with love from me.”

    Nollywood actress and influencer, Regina Chukwu, recently took to her Instagram to reflect on the challenges she faced in 2020.

    She talked about how POS operators were charging exorbitant fees of N3,000 to withdraw N10,000 earlier in the year.

    Despite the challenges, she acknowledged the strong will and surviving spirit of Nigerians.

    Regina urged her fans to be grateful to God for surviving through this year, no matter what life threw at them.

    She encouraged them to take a moment to list out all the things they faced this year and experienced but still managed to overcome.

    Popular Nollywood actress, Regina Chukwu, has reacted to the backlash that followed her newly found Yoruba name despite being Igbo. 

    The mother of two said she was faced with heavy tribal criticisms for calling herself a Yoruba name.

    The Yoruba screen goddess, who was present at Funke Akindele’s A Tr!be Called Judah movie premiere had shared a video of her at the event on her TikTok page, with the caption, ‘Arike Ni Mi’.

    Her caption didn’t sit well with many of her Igbo fans, who took to her comment section to remind her of her ethnicity.

    Now reacting to it via her Instagram page, Regina stated that she has loved ones who are Yorubas and they have accepted her wholeheartedly so it’s proper she has a Yoruba name.

    She added that her man gave her the name and she cherishes it so much.

    She further recounted how while growing up, her landlord gave her a Yoruba name at her naming ceremony.

    “So I posted this video on TikTok with that ARIKE NI MI’ caption and some people have been on my neck reminding me that I am Igbo (which I obviously can’t forget) but I have loved ones who are Yorubas and they have accepted me wholeheartedly so it’s proper I have a Yoruba name but in this case, it’s name.

    “Storytime. I was born in the Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos, i grew up to be called ABOSEDE by an eldërly landlord on my street, one day I asked my mum why does that man call me Abosede and my mum told me cos I was born on a Sunday and that man (baba Sunday) personally gave me that name on my naming and ever since, he addressed me as such

    “Now to the ARIKE. My Man gave me that name and I cherish it so much

    So ARIKE NI MI, gbogbo eni to ba ri mi ko ma kemi”, she wrote.
