    Singer Reminisce warns troll off family

    Rapper Remilekun Khalid Safaru aka Reminisce, has warned social media trolls to stay away from his family and stop the clout chase. 

    The ‘Oja’ vocalist warned internet bullies to desist from involving his family in their clouts, stressing that he would fish out violators regardless of any uproar online against his action.

    Reminisce gave the warning via his verified X handle on Monday.

    He wrote: “All fun and games, but no use my family find ‘banger tweet’ I will fish you out and believe me… hashtags won’t help! Mo ma wo inu e Jade bi Idun ni! Ti a ban sunkun…..”.

  • Reminisce yearns for more acting roles

    AFTER taking a year to spend time with his family, singer and rapper, Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, who is popularly known as Reminisce Alaga Ibile, has said he is fully back to entertainment industry  and ready to accept more acting roles.

    Reminisce who just released a new single ‘Oja’, said he will be exploring more acting roles, after his appearance in the popular movie ‘King of Boys’.

    He disclosed this as a guest on Silverbird Television.

    Reminisce said acting is a new world for him. The artiste  noted  that Nigerians are beginning to tell their stories, coupled with the fact that they now have wonderful producers and scripts  to portray.

  • Reminisce, others for Senator Most Distinguished ‘The UK Tour’

    Ace comedian Bethel Njoku, better known as Senator, has hinted that his upcoming show tagged ‘ Senator Most Distinguished ‘ The UK Tour’, will be held in five different locations – Liverpool, London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester .

    Expected to perform at all the five locations are indigenous rapper, Reminisce, Klint Da Drunk, FunnyBone, Dan the Humorous, Osama and Buchi among others. The show would be hosted by OAP Yaw.

    On why he is taking the show outside Nigeria, Senator disclosed that Nigerians in the UK have been part of his success story.

    “UK was my first international trip then under the umbrella of Crack ya ribs, the Julius Agwu brand in 2008,” he said.

    “So Nigerians in the UK have always encouraged us with good positive vibes. They actually made request for the brand to come to the UK … So I gave it a thought and then reached out to my promoter friends in the UK – Akinlolu Jekins of Akinlolu Jenkins and Co Ltd and James Efe Aghedo of Efoski entertainment – who saw a need to put up the show. They are basically my partners in the show.”

  • Super Balat features Reminisce on ‘Local’

    In a bid to draw attention to local talents in the country, budding musician, Super Balat has featured Reminisce on his new song, ‘Local.’

    According to him, ‘Local,’ produced by Puffy T, illustrates how Nigerians don’t appreciate indigenous materials and talents.

    “The brain behind this song is that Nigerians don’t celebrate their own talents, and what they have,” said Super Balat who recently released the visuals to his trending song, ‘Mama.’

    “They will later appreciate when the whole world is celebrating the talent. Like Anthony Joshua, the great boxer who is carrying Nigeria flag at the moment as far as Boxing is concerned at the world level, people initially didn’t appreciate his talent, until he gets to the top.”

    On why he featured Reminisce on the song, he said; “Reminisce is an artiste I respect so much. He sings with our indigenous language; which a lot of people would say is local. So that is what brought the idea of the song. Nigerians must appreciate and celebrate what they have.”

    A graffiti artist who has been commissioned to paint walls across Lagos State on Wednesday was visited by singer Reminisce, the self-acclaimed ‘Alaga Ibile’.

    The artist who has been the cynosure of Lagos motorists and pedestrians around the Ozumba Mbadiwe section by Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, took time off his busy schedule to catch a photo shot with Reminisce.

    Taking to his Instagram account, Reminisce shared the picture and wrote: “Earlier today to support the bro @osa_seven.”

    Osa Seven is among artists commissioned by the Lagos State government to create art pieces across the state as part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of the creation of the South-West Lagos State.

    Hip-hop artiste Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, popularly known as Reminisce, recently held the maiden edition of his brainchild, “The Street Concert.” The concert which held last Saturday at the Ikeja City Mall, Lagos, was in appreciation of his teeming fans.

    Also performing were Reminisce’s friends like Olamide, Ckay, Mz Kiss, BaseOne, Wale Turner, Falz, ReakadoBanks, Mayorkun, Ycee, HarrySong, Dremo, Niniola, Orezi and others.

    Reminisce, who is also a Samsung brand ambassador announced a new two-SIM phone, Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime+.

    The Galaxy Grand Prime+ which runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, uses the latest version of TouchWiz, Samsung’s touchscreen interface. It has a 5-inch 540 x 960 quad high definition resolution display, 8 mega-pixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera which can be triggered with palm or voice command. Videos are captured at 720p and with multiple modes feature, consumers can also set up a wide selfie for a larger group, or create an animated GIF.

    JUST recently parting ways with his management company, Edge Records, indigenous rapper Reminisce, is set to drop a new album titled El-hadj, on Monday, August 29, 2016.

    With the album jacket showing a sassy gold-teeth wearing and eyes shutting Reminisce, the artiste whose real name is Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, declared the arrival of his fourth album, following Book of Rap Stories (2012), Alaga Ibile (2013) and Baba Hafusa (2013).

    The album which has 16 tracks including songs such as Asalamalekun, Where I Come From, Ibadi, Konsignment and I.N.B.G (If E Nobi God)is already being sold on iTunes has production efforts from Sarz, TMXO, Camo Blaiz, T Spize, Sossick and Jomane. And collaborating artistes on the album include Eazi, Solidstar, 2baba, Olamide, 9ice, Oladips and Sojay.

    Reminisce, a brand ambassador for Samsung and Orijin is one of the most fast-rising African artistes. The release of Baba Hafusa made him become the first African to have and debut at number 12 on the Billboard Charts World Music category, selling over  half a million copies in two weeks and claiming number one spot on iTunes for more than a week.

    It was all fun and explosive entertainment at the Cricket ground of the Tafawa Balewa Square on Saturday as it hosted this year’s Goal fest, a celebration of football that climaxed with the live viewing of the Champions League final clash between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

    Lagosians in their thousands thronged the cricket ground to enjoy live music from  Oritsefemi, Reminisce, CDQ, Olu Maintain, and Danfo Drivers just to mention a few.

    Besides live music display, the organizers ensured other side attractions like chess; ‘predict and win’ games alongside drinks and barbecue were available to keep the fans on their feet.

    The event was put together by Femi and the Gang popular known as the FATG in collaboration with Olsen Decker Entertainment, was supported by Trevo LLC, Surebet247, Minimie Chinchin and Etihad Airlines.

    The event climaxed with the large-screen showing of the UEFA Champions League final where Real Madrid were crowned champions of Europe for the 11th time after beating Atletico Madrid in a dramatic penalty shootout in Milan.

    Reminisce, Vector, and other selected acts will be thrilling guests at the maiden edition of the D’Good, D’Bash and D’Funny concert, bill to hold on June 5, 2016 at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

    The event is put together by comedian Hammed Basheer popularly known as Bash and produced by Bunmi Davies.

    According to Bash, “the maiden edition of the concert in Lagos is expected to be worth any money used in buying the ticket as it is expected to be the first of its kind of any comedy show.

    “I am bringing a lot to that event, raw talents will be showcased and there is also a surprise design for the show; I am putting my all in this and I am very sure, it will come out well,” he added.

    Some of the biggest music artistes in Nigeria will appear in an all new MTV Base television special.

    The first of many programmes from MTV Base for 2016 is the programme titled: “MTV Base Lagos Party Special“, which Olamide and Steph_1will premiere on Saturday, 23rd of January.

    Featuring a headline performance from Olamide in addition to sizzling performances by Lil Kesh, Falz, Adekunle Gold, Niniola, May D, CDQ, Immaculate, Big Sheff, Viktoh, JJC, DJ Xclusive, DJ ECool.

    Also expected at the Ikeja City Mall, venue of the event hosted by MTV Base, VJs Ehiz, Stephanie Coker and City 105.1 FM’s Sensei Uche and C-Von, include Wande Coal, Reminisce, Phyno and many others, the MTV Base Lagos Party Special held.

    The show will feature exclusive interviews, party footage and backstage access to the stars, giving viewers a complete experience of one of the biggest Lagos party nights ever.

    Similarly, the pan-African music and lifestyle channel has concluded plans to air exclusive red carpet fashion police special, titled: #BaseSlayedorShade on Sunday, January 24th.
