    2027: Renewed Hope Ambassadors to inaugurate coordinators in Oyo

    Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Oyo State Chapter, is set to inaugurate its Senatorial and Local Government Area (LGA) coordinators.

    The inauguration is scheduled for Monday, February 9, 2026, at the party secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, and is aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation, improving coordination and deepening engagement across the state.

    In a statement, the Oyo State Ambassador of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Senator Teslim Folarin, said the exercise marks a strategic milestone in consolidating the RHA structure in Oyo State, in line with the organisational objectives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

    Folarin, a former Senate Leader, said the newly appointed coordinators are expected to spearhead effective grassroots outreach, promote policy communication and work closely with party structures at all levels.

    He said, “Members of the party, stakeholders, and invited guests are encouraged to attend as the inauguration signifies the formal commencement of duties for the coordinators and a renewed commitment to unity, discipline, and purposeful mobilisation across Oyo State.”

    Renewed Hope Ambassadors extend Christmas greetings to Oyo residents

    The Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Oyo State have extended warm Christmas greetings to residents, urging them to embrace unity, peace and a renewed commitment to collective progress during the festive season.

    In a statement signed by the Oyo State Ambassador of Renewed Hope, Senator Teslim Folarin, residents were called upon to remain hopeful, peaceful and supportive of initiatives that promote good governance, stability and inclusive growth in the state and across the country.

    Folarin, a former Senate Leader, also expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for what he described as their exceptional mobilisation and organisational strength.

    He particularly commended APC leaders in Oyo Federal Constituency for their coordinated efforts and the massive turnout of party faithful that ensured the success of the engagement.

    According to the statement, the impressive mobilisation reflects strong internal cohesion within the APC and highlights the effectiveness of grassroots leadership across all levels of the party structure.

    Senator Folarin described the exercise as a clear indication of the party’s preparedness for sustained engagement, grassroots consolidation and future political milestones in Oyo State.

    The Renewed Hope Ambassadors also reaffirmed their commitment to continuous grassroots outreach across the 14 federal constituencies in the state, stressing that the tour is aimed at strengthening party unity, consolidating internal trust and aligning members with the broader Renewed Hope vision of national development.

    The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, has commenced a 14–Federal Constituency tour aimed at uniting party stakeholders and strengthening mobilisation structures ahead of the 2027 re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

    The tour was flagged off on Monday at the Oba Adeyemi Stadium, Oyo town, with the Oyo Federal Constituency as the first stop, drawing a large turnout of party leaders and supporters from across the state.

    Speaking at the event, former First Lady of Oyo State and Ambassador-designate, Dr (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, commended the initiative, describing it as a unifying platform that underscores the strength, discipline, and renewed commitment of the Oyo APC.

    She declared that internal disputes within the party had been resolved, urging leaders to embrace peace and collective focus as preparations intensify for the 2027 elections.

    Also speaking, the Oyo State Ambassador for Renewed Hope and former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin, said the Renewed Hope Ambassadors are working closely with existing APC structures in the state to drive strategic, results-oriented mobilisation for President Tinubu’s re-election. He stressed that Oyo State would play a critical role in securing the President’s victory in 2027.

    Folarin noted that President Tinubu secured 449,884 votes in Oyo State during the 2023 presidential election, one of the highest margins nationwide, adding that the target is to increase the figure by at least 35 per cent through aggressive grassroots engagement across the state’s 33 local government areas.

    According to him, the re-election strategy combines political intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and early election planning to energise the party base and consolidate APC structures across all 14 Federal Constituencies.

    “Every leader with ambitions for 2027 has agreed to set them aside. Our focus must be unity, rebuilding internal trust, and delivering a landslide mandate for President Tinubu,” he said.

    Several party leaders who spoke at the event, including the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; APC State Chairman, Pharm Olayide Abass; Senators Yunus Akintunde, Sharafadeen Alli, Femi Lanlehin, and Ayo Adeseun; as well as Engr Idris Adeoye, Engr Remi Oseni, and Hon Olaide Muhammedah, called on members to remain disciplined and united, stressing that cooperation within the APC family will be key to victory in 2027.

    Dignitaries at the event included former Deputy Governors Chief Iyiola Oladokun and Chief Moses Alake; Senator Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North); Rt Hon Akeem Adeyemi; former Speaker Rt Hon Asimiyu Alarape; Engr K.K. Raji; Rt Hon Muraina Ajibola; Prof Adeolu Akande; and Dr Abisoye Fagade, among other party elders and grassroots mobilisation leaders.

    The tour is expected to continue across the remaining Federal Constituencies in the coming weeks as the Oyo APC intensifies efforts to strengthen its internal structures and secure a historic victory for President Tinubu and the party in 2027.

    Renewed Hope Ambassadors lauds Tinubu’s reforms In oil and gas sector

    The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a group of Nigerian professionals and stakeholders, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for its bold reforms in the oil and gas sector.

    In a statement by Dr. Opialu F. Opialu, its Secretary-General, the group praised the president’s efforts to improve the investment climate and position Nigeria as the preferred investment destination in Africa.

    According to Opialu, the reforms are designed to address the challenges facing the oil and gas sector, including declining investment, low production levels, and inadequate infrastructure. 

    He noted that the impact of these reforms is already being felt, with increased investor interest and activity in the sector .

    The group also commended the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for their regulatory efficiency and promoting transparency and accountability.

    Opialu said the NUPRC has implemented key reforms aimed at boosting investment and strengthening regulatory oversight. It added that the NCC, on the other hand, has made significant progress in enhancing the nation’s telecommunications landscape.

    The statement added: “The NUPRC has been working tirelessly to build a resilient, competitive, and investment-driven upstream sector. Under the leadership of Engr Gbenga Komolafe, the Commission has implemented key reforms aimed at enhancing efficiency, boosting investment, and strengthening regulatory oversight.

    “The NUPRC has driven several initiatives to enhance regulatory effectiveness and attract investments. These include the development of a 10-year Regulatory and Corporate Strategic Plan and a Regulatory Action Plan. The Commission’s efforts have restored investor confidence and positioned Nigeria’s petroleum industry for sustained growth.

    “The NUPRC’s commitment to transparency and accountability has also been evident in its efforts to promote cost efficiency and reduce contracting costs and timelines. By streamlining processes and introducing fiscal incentives, the Commission aims to create a more favourable business environment that attracts new investments and drives growth.

    “The NUPRC has successfully developed and rolled out several regulations that have fostered growth, improved productivity, and increased government revenue from the oil and gas sector. These strategic interventions have restored investor confidence and positioned Nigeria’s petroleum industry for sustained growth.

    “Meanwhile, the NCC has made significant progress in enhancing the nation’s telecommunications landscape. Under the leadership of Dr. Animu Maida, the Commission has pushed for the signing of a Presidential Order designating telecommunications infrastructure as critical national assets.

    “The NCC has also ensured the proper linkage of SIM Cards to National Identification Numbers (NIN) to check the increasing incidences of banditry and terrorism in the country. Additionally, the Commission has facilitated the waiver of Right of Way (RoW) charges in several states, making it easier for telecom operators to deploy infrastructure and improve connectivity across the country.

    “The NCC’s commitment to promoting innovation and capacity building in the telecommunications sector is evident in its partnership with Nokia to initiate training programs for young engineers in 4G/5G technologies.The NCC’s efforts to promote competition and ensure fair play in the telecommunications sector have been recognized internationally. Dr. Maida’s appointment to the Board of Directors of the International Institute of Communications (IIC) is a testament to Nigeria’s growing influence in global telecommunications and digital innovation.”

    The Renewed Hope Ambassadors passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of NUPRC and NCC, recognising their outstanding performance and commitment to driving growth and development in their respective sectors.

    The group urged other agencies to emulate the example set by NUPRC and NCC and work towards achieving the nation’s development goals.
