  • Assassination attempt on me is real – Mbaka

    …absolves Catholic Church from plot

Fiery Catholic priest and the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu (AMEN), Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka on Monday spoke on the alleged assassination attempt on him, saying it was not fabricated.

Mbaka insisted that agents of darkness were after him going by the reactions that trailed the assassination attempt.

The Enugu State Police Command through its spokesman, Superintendent Ebere Amaraizu, however, denied knowledge of the development.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Ike Maximus Ugwuoke, Mbaka also absolved the Catholic Church of having a hand in the assassination attempt.

He said he never at any time blamed the attack on the Church.

The statement reads: “The report in a section of the media that Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria ‘fingers the Church on his alleged assassination’ is a false and a sensational headline curled by mischief makers for whatever ends and it is hereby refuted.

“First, the assassination plot against Fr Mbaka was not a mere ‘allegation” or claim as reported in the media but an established fact. The impact of the bullet on his car which the security agents have confirmed is there for all who cared to see.  It is also ridiculous that two fictitious characters masquerading as concerned Catholics could go wild to insinuate in the media that Fr Mbaka planned his own assassination to curry public sympathy and presidential favour.

“Such statement depicts how far mischief makers can go in trivializing issues as important as human life and their absolute lack of fear of God. The statement calls to question the level of concern of such

“Concerned Catholics” in such a matter involving the life of a catholic priest.   We call on security agencies to investigate the source of such media report as the makers of the report or their pay masters may have some useful information to give them in their investigation into the incident.

“We challenge the two impostors claiming to be writing for the “Concerned Catholics” to come forward with their real identity, parish addresses and contacts to prove the point that they exist and that they are Catholics.

“We state categorically that in all efforts made to inquire from Fr Mbaka the person or persons behind the gun attack at him, he never at any time named anyone or pointed accusing finger at anyone as the sponsor of his assassination plot, be it the Catholic Church or Whomever.

“It is wrong and out of context to ascribe to Fr Mbaka any deductions made by any person or group of persons, or associations or followers of Fr Mbaka on the issue whether verbally or in prints. Such persons or group of persons may be freely expressing their sentiments on the issue but they are not speaking for Fr Mbaka and should not be taken or quoted as speaking for Fr Mbaka.

“Fr Mbaka’s love for the Catholic Church is unquestionable and to allege that he is “unleashing his ministry against the Catholic Church in an attempt to blackmail, or stampede the church into doing his bidding” only portrays the clear mischievous  intention of the originators of the statement to incite the Catholic Church against Fr Mbaka.

“Such statement can only come from agents of darkness and liars from the pit of hell and should be considered as such.”

The police said it has not received any report to that effect.

  • Mbaka to Buhari: Sack the cabal holding you hostage

Mbaka to Buhari: Sack the cabal holding you hostage

Fiery Catholic priest, Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka, on Monday warned President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the cabal holding him in captivity otherwise he would be changed.

Mbaka made the call during his New Year message at the Emene Enugu Adoration Ground.

The priests lamented that the good intentions of the President have been hijacked by a cabal that surrounded him.

He demanded that Buhari should wake up and live up to his billings as Nigerians have suffered a lot in the past year.

He said: “I had wanted to pray for you and go because I don’t want anybody to attack me. I don’t want the Bishop to invite me; I don’t want politicians to attack me anywhere. But God forced me, you must say it. Listen to me. 2017 became one of the most horrible years in this country and that is the message.

“The Lord says, Nigerians, he says, captive Nigerians, you will be speedily rescued; Nigerians, things are very very difficult, hard and tough nowadays; the hardship is not from God, they are man- made. The wicked cabals and satanic agents in this country have wickedly kidnapped the goodwill and good intentions of Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari; his good intentions have been kidnapped; President Buhari must wake up and sit up immediately or heaven demands him, heaven demands Buhari, our President to change all those who are holding and caging him in captivity; if he will not change them, he will be changed. Mr. President wake up; sit up; God said you are toying with the privilege given to you. There is no time; Nigerians are dying in your hand; people are not happy with your system. Change or you will be changed; God said that Buhari is in trouble; Buhari is hypnotized; Buhari is in a horrible bondage and Buhari’s mantra has been cannibalized. Unless President Buhari quickly and strategically, positions the right people and changes the former ones inaugurated by him, the wind of change that he himself inaugurated will blow him away shamefully. “The wind will be too strong that Mr. President and the cabal will be blown out of office shamefully. The wind will be irresistible for it will come like a hurricane. Buhari can handle this problem but number one, his office, if he is not careful, another will take it.

“Number 2, if he is doesn’t want to move Nigeria forward, God says He himself will plan a strategy of moving Nigeria forward. His pattern of battling corruption is not just archaic and barbaric but is witch-hunting and terribly selective. Mr. Buhari as the President, why should you be picking and choosing those that you and your so-called EFCC man would want to arrest, so that your party becomes a hideout for criminals, so that any person who does not want to be arrested will become an APC person? Is that not corruption on itself?

“Change or you will be changed, after all you are the one who introduced change as your mantra. Nigerian economy is in shambles and Nigerians are in sorrow. Nigeria is not just passing through an economic depression but also it is a time of economic repression and compression. Very soon, Nigerians will know that the country is in terrible mess. The cabals have messed up the President and confused him. So, Mr. President, you are to be blamed, not your cabals. You have your brooms, but the cabals have their bags; either you sweep them away or they throw you into the bag.”

    2017: Mbaka advises Buhari

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry in Enugu State has advised President Muhammadu Buhari on leadership in the New Year.

He gave the advice in Enugu on Saturday in his New Year message at the cross over service to 2017.

He advised the President to tackle the challenges facing the country, saying “many Nigerians are suffering.

“Though the President is trying on corruption and security, Nigerians are hungry; they want to see more changes.

“There is the need to assist businessmen and women in their businesses.”

He also advised the President to appoint experts who would help him to revive the economy.

The cleric asked the President to consult Church leaders and eminent men of God
to advise him and tell him the truth about the economy.

“We cannot reach him for advice because of the kind of people around him,” he added.

He then urged Nigerians to be patient and be prayerful “as your sufferings and hardships would be over in 2017.

“Nigeria is set to be great again,” he stressed.

  • Mbaka denies recommending arrest of more judges

Mbaka denies recommending arrest of more judges

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has distanced himself from recent media reports which quoted him as recommending the arrest of more judges in furtherance of the recent clampdown and investigation of some judges over alleged corruption.

Mbaka who said he was shocked by the report told correspondents in Enugu that in his sermon during the special Church Service to mark this years’ legal year organized by the Enugu State Judiciary he prayed for all the judges showering them with blessings and at the same time admonishing them to be upright in the discharge of their duties as the last hope of the common man.

“For me, Judges should be beyond corruption because they are like ‘God’; if they make mistake in sentencing an innocent man the person will die in jail. They can save life, they can destroy life. The judiciary should not be merchandized; nobody should think he can purchase justice.

“I raised the question about the arrest; are we sure that the judges arrested are guilty of what they are accused of? For me, if judges could be arrested let them be well examined; if found culpable, punishment could be meted out. I suggested strongly that the arrest of judges should not be selective; that the arrest should be 360 degrees coverage. So if the judges were arrested, what about those who gave the money; were they exonerated?

“While arresting the judges, I suggested that those who gave them the money, if actually they were given money for fraudulent purposes, should equally be arrested. So the arrest should even go to the senators who were found culpable; it should go to the House of Reps, it should even be extended to the executives. People working for Buhari who are corrupt should equally be arrested and that is when the arrest should represent justice, equity and fair play; it should not be only for judges.

“So I never asked them to arrest more judges because I have no problem with judges and I don’t even know why the judges were arrested because I don’t speak with the federal government. I don’t even have Buhari’s number; I don’t talk with Buhari so how can I urge people who I don’t speak with to carry out an assignment I don’t know about its origin and intention.

“I couldn’t have said that because many judges are good, many are innocent of what they are being accused of, many are godly; so we lift our caps for those who are good. If there are some who are corrupt, they should repent; and if judges are good it will bring better hope for the common man.

“The revolution that is going on in Nigeria is an attempt to sweep off corruption in all aspects of our lives; in the entire government structure so we don’t make corruption our culture. Revolutions that will exterminate corruption from the tap root because corruption is becoming part and part of our political culture and almost accepted; the war against corruption is a welcome development but should be prosecuted without bias.

“Those arresting the judges I pray they should look well and not cause unnecessary earthquake in the Judiciary; the executive is safe; the legislature is safe and the judiciary is under attack. People will raise questions, so let there be justice in whatever arrest they are doing; so I don’t ask them to arrest more judges.

“I equally spoke about the economic recession and I strongly believe that President Buhari should employ more people who can help him implement his political agenda. So why we are praising the president for warring against corruption and insurgency, we still pray that he uses whatever he has to war against hunger.”

  • Mbaka: People want to put me at loggerheads with president

Mbaka: People want to put me at loggerheads with president

Enugu Catholic Priest, the Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, said Thursday that some Nigerians were trying to cause disaffection between him and the presidency.

Mbaka said contrary to earlier media reports that he made negative predictions concerning the President’s ill health, he merely alluded to the reported claims by doctors.

He said Nigerian doctors had expressed fears over the chances of President Muhammadu Buhari recovering from his illness.‎ But, according to him, he prayed against that.

The priest, who is in charge of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria, spoke through his media Chief, Barr Ike Maximus Ugwuoke.

According to him, “‎our attention has been drawn to a report in a section of the media alleging that Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria said that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has slim chances of surviving from his ill health.

“The true fact is that there were media reports, making fuss about Mr President’s health and insinuating Mr President‘s slim chances of recovering from his ill health, published immediately the president went on vacation.

“Fr Mbaka referring to the said media report during his prayers for the sick in the ministry prayed with the worshippers of the ministry for Mr President’s healing and health after which there were lots of testimonies from the sick that were healed of blindness, elephantiasis, deafness, cancer, tumor and all other diverse healings at the end of the prayer session.”

He quoted Mbaka as saying: “They say the sickness is E.N.T.  When it affects, the ear, it affects the nose and affects the neck. We pray for our President and any one that is suffering such a dangerous disease.

“We lift our healing hands for divine healing upon our president. Wherever he is, may he be healed in Jesus name.

“The doctors in Nigeria are nursing fear that he may not survive but we have a healing God.  His name is specialist in impossibilities.”

He added that some ‎persons were nose-diving in the affairs of the ministry with a view to causing unnecessary rift between the ministry and the presidency.

Mbaka flays blackmailers, prays for Buhari

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]iery Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has prayed that President Muhammadu Buhari succeeds and that ‘God will protect him so that enemies will not destroy him’.

The priest spoke yesterday during his 20th priestly anniversary mass at Christ the King Parish, Enugu. He described his success as victory over enemies of truth and blackmailers.

Mbaka said despite attacks against him, God had continued to protect him because he remained on the side of the truth.

He said: “I am not tired after 20 years; 20 years of good health; miracles from God; hard apostolic work, and 20 years in the hand of God.

“There was a time they blackmailed me; they said such things like ‘Mbaka why? Mbaka this, Mbaka that, but I have remained in the hand of God”.

In a special message titled: 20-point agenda, Fr. Mbaka said he was praying for President Buhari “that God will protect him so that enemies will not destroy him. I also pray for Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi so that occultic men will not steal his vision”.

  • Mbaka: Jonathan, his wife after me

Mbaka: Jonathan, his wife after me

Fiery Enugu-based Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has accused President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, of being after his life.

Mbaka, in a new video on Youtube viewed by The Nation yesterday, said his offence was his opposition to the President re-election. In the 21-minute sermon given during one of his preachings, Fr. Mbaka said the plot was recently revealed to him.

The popular Adoration Ministries preacher said his support for Jonathan in the last six years did not attract death threats or condemnation from opposition politicians. He denied allegations that he received money from Mrs. Joanthan last during her visit to his church. Fr. Mbaka disclosed that Mr. Jonathan dropped money for him but he rejected the money.

He said: “Do they think that killing father Mbaka will make Jonathan and his wife win the election? Is Mbaka their problem? And the other priest asked a question that touched me. All these while that Fr. Mbaka has been supporting Jonathan and his wife, did Buhari and his party make any statement that threatened him?

For over six years, afterwards, I sent a letter to somewhere but I want to send this message to the atmosphere, let it now be known to the whole world that President Goodluck Jonathan and Patience are planning to assassinate Fr. Mbaka.

“It is a known secret. However they are planning it, I do not know. Whomever they want to use, I do not know. They will not do it by themselves. They will use the unemployed people. The same people I am speaking for.

“Just like in the days of Chimaroke, I came here one day announcing this type of thing. That they are planning to attack the ministry. People said it cannot happen. One night, 7th March, they struck.

“I don’t why people are no longer afraid of God. And the other Priest said maybe it’s because they believe that the Bishops of the country joined them to threaten Fr. Mbaka onto sanction because he spoke against the ills of the government. Why should Jonathan’s name be mentioned?

“Why Moses was asked by God to go and tell Pharaoh to ‘let my people go”, did Moses not do the work?

Am just trying to warn any Pharaoh that ýis threatening to kill any Moses to remember what happened in Exodus 12. After the Passover the family of Pharaoh cried and the remnant of the tears got a conclusion in Exodus 14:27 in the middle of the Red Sea.

”Let them leave Mbaka alone. The so-called money they are boasting that they gave to Fr. Mbaka, I have severally here on this altar put my hands to tell the whole world that it is true if it is true.

“Because Ekweremadu, the Deputy Senate President came with one little bag containing some money and the money was rejected.”
