    American rapper A$AP Rocky has revealed that his mom had always wanted him to be with global singer Rihanna.

    In an interview with The New York Times, he shared that his mom would often advise him to end his past relationships and pursue Rihanna instead.

    According to Rocky, his mom would insist Rihanna was the right one for him, even when he considered Rihanna just a friend.

    “Rihanna has always been my boo. I always f*cked with her. My mother used to say, ‘I know you like this girl that you are with right now, but I want you with Riri.’

    “And I would tell her that Rihanna is just a friend. But my mother would insist that Rihanna is a real one and that I should go for her. I’m telling you, mothers know best”, he said.

    He expressed gratitude that their relationship started when it did, as he wasn’t ready for commitment earlier, and Rihanna wasn’t ready for family life either.

    “However, I am thankful that my relationship with Rihanna started when it did. Because at any time prior to that, I don’t think I was ready for something like that. I don’t think she was, either,” he added.

    The rapper and Rihanna began their romance, and they now have three children together.

    Barbadian singer Rihanna has welcomed her third child, a baby girl named Rocki Irish Mayers, with partner A$AP Rocky. 

    She revealed that the baby was born on September 13, 2025.

    Rihanna shared the joyous news on Instagram, posting adorable photos of herself cradling the newborn wrapped in pink and a pair of pink satin booties.

    This precious addition marks the couple’s first daughter, joining their two sons, RZA and Riot, aged 3 and 2, respectively.

    Rihanna revealed her pregnancy in May at the 2025 Met Gala, proudly showcasing her baby bump.

    The singer attributed her success to God’s generosity, giving Him all the glory. 

    Rihanna wrote: “20 years ago, i left my country, my culture, my food, and family to embark on a journey that started with the release of my very first body of music! 

    “So many of you were a part of my life and career since the very beginning, and some of you have joined the adventure along the way. I’m forever grateful to all of you. Each of you played a very crucial role in where this journey has taken me thus far! 

    “I just wanted to take this moment to say thank you! Thank you for the greatest first 20 years ever! 20 years of the most loyal, die-hard fans that don’t play about me whatsoever, 20 years of hard work and hardworking teams around me, 20 years of lessons, 20 years of unforgettable experiences and accomplishments.

    The couple, already parents to sons RZA (born May 2022) and Riot (born August 2023), expressed their joy, with Rocky adding, “I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy.”

    Billionaire Barbadian singer Rihanna has shared her experiences of motherhood, describing being a “boy mom” as liken to an Olympic sport. 

    The 36-year-old mother of two posted a video on her X account featuring her first son, RZA, struggling to climb out of his baby cot. 

    In the video, RZA eventually succeeds after several attempts and Rihanna humorously captioned it, “Being a boy mom is an Olympic sport.” 

     Rihanna and partner, A$AP Rocky, welcomed their first child, RZA, on May 19, 2022, shortly after confirming their relationship.

    In August 2023, the couple celebrated the arrival of their second son, Riot Ross. 

     Earlier this year, there were rumors about Rihanna expecting a third child, which she later dismissed in an interview with ET.

     In an April interview with Interview Magazine, Rihanna shared hopes for a daughter, noting, “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”

    She then asked: “Do you have a song with Tems?”

    Ayra Starr replied, “That’s my sister. We do have songs but we don’t have a song [out] yet. But soon..”

    Rihanna added: “You got an extra verse for me? Call me.”

    Grammy-nominated singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has reacted to the revelation of superstar Barbadian-American singer, Rihanna as she names ‘Unavailable’ her song of the year. 

    Recall that the Barbadian superstar was spotted in a viral video dancing to Davido’s ‘Unavailable’.

    Rihanna disclosed this while speaking with Complex at a recent event of her fashion brand, Fenty, The Creeper.

    During the interview, the mother of two was asked to name her two songs of the year, but she replied by noting that she’s not the album type and went on to name Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Mnike’ by Tyler ICU and Tumelo as her songs of the year.

    She said: “Album of the year? Am I an album girl? Or am I a streaming single girl?

    “‘Unavailable’ [by Davido featuring Musa Keys] on repeat. That and ‘Mnike’ [by Tyler ICU and Tumelo] are my song of the year.”

    Following this, the DMW boss reacted to the recognition of the highly decorated singer.

    Davido, who found this to be a great honour, reacted by quoting the video with the words: “My Ri Ri.”
