    Stop blasting Pete Edochie, Rita Edochie defends veteran amid son’s marital drama

    Actress Rita Edochie has come to the defense of her brother-in-law, Pete Edochie and his wife, Josephine against attacks from netizens over his son, Yul Edochie’s marital drama.

    Rita made it known via her Instagram account that contrary to reports, Pete Edochie isn’t in support of his son’s marriage to Judy Austin.

    Speaking of the veteran’s appearance in one of Judy’s movies, she said he was oblivious to knowing she was the producer of the movie and upon learning that she was in charge of the production, he walked out of her set, refunded her money, and didn’t look back.

    She questioned why anyone would expect Pete to be fighting Yul and Judy at his old age and why anyone would be dragging his wife, Josephine, because she isn’t speaking out publicly.

    The Nation reported that Yul Edochie, who has been accused of infidelity by his first wife, May, told the court that the relationship between him and Judy Austin is based on skitmaking.

    He insisted that there was no legally recognized union between them.

    She however expressed relief that Heaven wanted to welcome his soul and relieve him of the suffering and pain, asserting that no one had the right to question the giver of life as death is inevitable.

    Praying for Mr. Ibu’s soul to rest in peace, she described the deceased as her brother, friend, and colleague, leaving his family with a word of prayer.

    She said: “What hurts me most is not even your demise, it’s knowing the fact that you suffered so much and groaned painfully in the grips of paleness.

    “I think this is the time the heavens want to welcome your soul and relieve you of all the stress and burden sickness imposed on you at least now you can rest and the illness too can rest.

    “In as much as I know that this right here is very excruciating, we still do not have the right to question the giver of life. Death is really inevitable, it’s a call everyone would answer everything in life is transient.

    “May your peaceful and ever-living soul rest in power my great friend, brother, and colleague. Nollywood will miss you dearly. All I beg god for is that he gives the family you left behind the fortitude to bear this loss, Amen.”

They are capable breadwinners who comfortably pay their bills and that of their kids. Being in a man’s house doesn’t define your goodness as a woman and it has nothing to do with being responsible.”

    Rita Edochie, a veteran actress, has responded to her nephew, Yul Edochie‘s accusation that she is using his “predicament” to attract attention to her social media page.

    Yul Edochie, who has been bullied for over a year for marrying a second wife, criticised those who were mourning the late singer Mohbad and calling for justice.

    He claimed that his aunt had not contacted him about the matter but was instead using it to draw traffic to her page.

    Yul said: “Even my own aunty has not called me on phone for one day to ask me what happened. Instead she dey use me draw traffic for her page.”

    Reacting to Yul’s supposition, the 59-year-old thespian wrote: “This particular line made tears drip from my eyes, especially the word “my own.” Good a thing you still regard me as your own aunty.

    “But I will not say anything on this for now. Also, saying that I am using your name and matter as a traffic medium on my page, how hilarious can this be??? But I will still not say anything because I am happy you know me too well.

    “My dear son, you are not the subject matter and that is the reason I don’t talk about you because I know you are not yourself anymore, but you will surely get back to whom you used to be whether drama dev!  (Judy Austin) likes it or not.
