Seven-time Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions, Rivers Angels have unveiled 14 new players for the 2024/2025 season as they strive to reclaim the title they last won in 2021.
The Jewels of Rivers signed a total of 14 new players, including two goalkeepers, two defenders, four midfielders, and six attackers.
Top on the bill of the signed players is the skipper of the Flamingos, Taiwo Afolabi who left Delta Queens to team up with the Port Harcourt based side.

They include; Anderline Mgbechi – Goalkeeper; Fatima Oloko – Goalkeeper; Sadiat Saka – defender; Anike Azeez – defender; Taiwo Afolabi – Midfielder; Chidera Okenwa – Midfielder.
Others include Nana Yusuf – Midfielder, Azeezat Oluwole – Midfielder, Blessing Ifitezue – Striker, Offor Mary Moses – Striker, Titilayo Aweda – Striker, Taiwo Ajibade – Striker, Chisom Nwachukwu- Striker and Taiwo Aganmuyi- Striker.
The 2024/2025 NWFL season will kick off tomorrow with Rivers Angels hosting newly returned Ibom Angels at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
