Following Safety Babes commanding 50-27 defeat of Bendel Dynamos in the on-going Ardova Handball Premier League in Lagos, Coach Innocent Nwankwo has attributed his side’s unbeaten run to discipline, hard-work and focus .

Nwankwo stated that his team has been able to conquer the Nigerian handball scene and the next level is to compete at the African club championship where they hope to rub shoulders with the best on the continent.
He called on corporate bodies to team up with the Safety Babes in their quest to bring laurel to the country.

“I will attribute our performance to discipline, hard work, focus and the support of the Corp Marshall. We have conquered Nigeria and we want to move to Africa and do Nigeria proud,” he said.
Meanwhile, leaders in the men’s category, Tojemarine Academy returned to winning ways yesterday by beating Sunshine Kings 36-25.
The leaders had lost to Safety Shooters 27-24 on Tuesday and were at their best against the Kings of Akure to inch closer to the title.
In other games, Lagos Seasiders defeated De Defenders 18-14 in a low-scoring game, Rima Strikers beat Correction Boys 41-25, while the tie between Benue Buffaloes and Kano Pillars ended 25 goals apiece.
