    Ramadan: SAS foundation to feed 1,000 families in Ilorin

    Philanthropist Engineer Saleeman Adedoyin Saleeman has announced a major Ramadan initiative through his SAS Foundation, aimed at providing food assistance to 1,000 families in Ilorin, Kwara State.

    The initiative, set for March 15, 2025, coincides with Engr. Saleeman’s birthday and the 15th day of Ramadan.

    It will also mark the official launch of the Saleeman Adedoyin Saleeman (SAS) Foundation, an organization dedicated to humanitarian efforts and social impact.

    “This initiative aims to support families during Ramadan and officially launch my foundation. While we have carried out similar interventions over the years, structuring the SAS Foundation allows us to expand our reach and impact more lives,” Saleeman stated on his social media page.

    He further called on individuals and organizations to support charitable causes, emphasizing that small acts of kindness create lasting change.

    As part of his Ramadan message, Engr. Saleeman urged for greater compassion, generosity, and support for the underprivileged, encouraging Muslims to uplift one another during the holy month.

    He described Ramadan as a time of spiritual renewal and divine guidance, calling on Kwarans and Nigerians worldwide to pray for peace, security, and prosperity.

    Beyond his philanthropic work, Engr. Saleeman is a renowned global IT leader, having spearheaded digital transformations at Fortune 500 companies, including Lowe’s, Target, and Southwest Airlines in the United States.

    His expertise in cloud architecture, enterprise frameworks, and software engineering has revolutionized digital commerce experiences, reshaping how consumers engage with technology.

    Despite his global career, Saleeman remains deeply connected to his roots, frequently supporting community-driven initiatives in Kwara State and beyond.

    He also extended his heartfelt Ramadan greetings to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Mai Martaba, Alhaji Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari, CFR, and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the well-being of Kwarans.

Through a strategic blend of cloud architecture, software engineering, and enterprise frameworks, Saleeman has redefined how consumers engage with retail technology.

    At Lowe’s, one of the largest home improvement retailers in the world, Saleeman led groundbreaking innovations in checkout and cart capabilities across multiple platforms, including lowes.com, in-store point-of-sale (POS) systems, mobile apps, contact centers, and third-party integrations. His leadership in modernizing cart and checkout —transitioning legacy monolithic systems to scalable microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)—has significantly enhanced system performance and customer experiences.

Born in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, over three decades ago to Alhaji Abdulazeez Saleeman and Justice Halimat Saleeman, his intellectual prowess and leadership qualities were evident from an early age. Excelling in primary and secondary school, he secured a full federal scholarship to study in Russia in 2009.

    In Russia, he continued to break barriers, earning a Diploma in Russian Language from Tver State University with a perfect 5.0/5.0 CGPA, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Informatics from the National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute,” graduating as valedictorian with a 4.7/5.0 CGPA. His journey then took him to the United States, where he pursued a Master’s in Computer Science at Maharishi International University before launching his career at Caterpillar Inc.

    Beyond his technological innovations, Saleeman is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He is the founder of the Saleeman Adedoyin Saleeman (SAS) Foundation, an NGO dedicated to supporting women, youth, and children in Ilorin, Kwara State. Through educational programs, skill development initiatives, and direct community support, the foundation has positively impacted numerous lives, further solidifying Saleeman’s legacy as both a technological pioneer and a humanitarian leader.

    Saleeman’s journey from Ilorin to the global stage is nothing short of remarkable. His ability to break barriers, inspire teams, and drive large-scale innovations has cemented his reputation as one of the most influential leaders in the U.S. IT industry today.
