Cleric denies kidnap, murder allegations, threatens legal action

Popular cleric, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo has declared he is not a kidnapper, murderer or cult member as alleged.

He was reacting after police invitation over a petition accusing him of kidnap, murder and occultic practices.

Speaking while addressing congregation at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Jesus City, Lekki/Epe Express Way, Lagos, the cleric threatened to institute legal actions against those who levelled criminal allegations against him.

Olu-Alo said he was ready to fight back in court against charges levelled against him.

According to him: “I have sent a message to my people in my home town that no one should fight or curse anyone who is my blood and is accusing me of wrongdoing.

“Many of those social media influencers who commercialise contents such as accusation against me and my reactions to them on their social media spaces, are usually economical with the truth.

“They usually edit the contents to suit their intentions to draw traffic to their social media spaces. I didn’t want to react initially, but now, l do not care any more. I would not sit in my corner and allow them to create just any social media content to make money and destroy my reputation.

“Now, l am also launching out fully and I am demanding proofs from these accusers on their allegations that I kidnap someone and also buried him or her. They must also reveal the identity of the herbalist who prepared the fetish ritual of church growth for me.

“Another proof they must provide without wasting time, is the place where they alleged that l was initiated into some evil cult and identity of those who initiated me.

“They must also reveal the identity of the so called Pastor who saw myself and the traditional monarch getting initiated and taking me to plead with a certain Prophet. They must provide all these evidence I have mentioned. If they fail to do this, l will fight them legally and  with all that is within me as empowered by God.

“I am promising the accusers that as a man of dual citizen, I will fight them legally both here and outside the country. I believe in the justice system of Nigeria and also have firm belief in the justice system in my second country and I shall fight these assailants legally in both countries. These accusers must show the proof of the shrine they claimed I was initiated and ensure the world sees it or face the legal battle squarely.

“I dare them to show these proofs for the allegations.that l have mentioned and l assure you the Almighty God whom I serve also want them to show them. I repeat again, the proofs they must show, one is the number and identity of people they alleged l have  kidnapped and later, number and identity of people they alleged that l have killed, where they alleged that  l did the evil ritual before the so called traditional monarch took me to beg, and those occultic group members they alleged I am part of, have to disclose to the world if l am truly part of them.

“If they could bring all these evidences, then it is over. But if not, it shall be fight  to finish. I cannot denigrate the monarch of my hometown and l will never allow anyone to destroy his reputation.”

“The truth of the matter is that the monarch of my hometown whose name was mentioned by these social media influencers, has never met face to face with the CAC General Overseer, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji. My monarch has only once gone to the mountain for prayer. This was a programme that all monarchs usually attend.

“The monarch of Ikun-Ekiti, Oba Onikun had brought my monarch to the programme then. I am speaking on behalf of my monarch and demanding from the accusers on the social media to reveal where I was taken to. I believe there is still truth in Nigeria, that is why I am saying all these.

“The fifth evidence these accusers must also bring to the public is the identity of the certain woman they alleged that I had secretly got married to and had children with and she later died from strange spiritual attack.

“Let me say this categorically, the man who they said I was taken to go and beg, l have never seen him face to face. I am not a Prophet who goes around kneeling down to just anybody. I pray to the Almighty God on my own. I merely hear about the man’s name. Never met him one on one. I am not a kind of God’s servant who seek some anointing from other men of God or Prophets. So, no one should attack me because you want to fight a certain man of God.

“The accusers are pained  because of the glory of God in my ministry. What they could not do that I am making efforts to do for God and for which God has been good to me, crowning my efforts with His glory, this reality is what is making my enemies to be envious and sponsor attacks on me on social media.

“I had personally gone to the bank to borrow N500 million to build the House of God. I am not a cleric who would use the church properties as collateral. I have strong faith in God and most of the structures you are seeing here, l didn’t build them, God used people to do this. This is what they don’t know.

“I assure you, God is just starting with me, He will still perform more wonders that would baffle my enemies. My family members have been so good to me. Even my wife has been so good to me. But  should anyone come after me tomorrow and lay false allegations, we would know how to face the challenges.”

The cleric, who clarified he was not the complainant on a case before the court, said: “I haven’t sued anyone because they have allegedly defamed me. They are the ones who instituted a legal battle against me and leveled terrible allegations against me in a petition they wrote.

“If they had limited their attacks to spreading smear campaign only on the social media, l wouldn’t have fought back. But they went to the police station and got charge sheet against me. I had left the battle for God when they were spreading smear campaign against me on the social media. It is not in my character to take people to Court, I am even too busy for that.

“But with the new development and attack from them, l promise that we shall fight back against their terrible allegations. I am urging members and lovers of my ministry, do not pity me for my Bible assures that a righteous man, shall be bold as a lion. The allegations these assailants leveled against me included murder, kidnapping and occultic practice. It is within my rights to defend myself against these allegations.

“I have told you the truth about the situation. social media influencers have since been using smear campaign against  me to achieve commercial success. Unfortunately, they misinform the world and their teeming followers with sensational and false news. It’s all yellow journalism.

“I urge you my dear ones to read between the lines and don’t be misguided. I have to respond to their legal attack so as to exonerate myself. An angel would not come down from heaven to defend legal issues  the enemies on earth have cooked up against me. I have to do that myself.

“I want to believe my wife’s people, especially my mother-in Law, who has been staying in my house for many years,  are not evil people. But like they say, people change me, so l won’t say anything further. I do not want my children to inherit wars I am faced with. I am a spiritual man and l would remain calm because of the future of my children. I do not want people to misunderstand my actions.

“My wife’s elder brother, works in my privately owned radio station. If he was bad to me, l wouldn’t allow him to work there. So, for me , they are good people. My wife also, is known to me as a prayerful woman , although, anyone may be tempted. I have never bribed any lawyer or police boss. But I know God is with me and gives me honour before men. I cannot bribe anyone to cover up any allegations against me.”

The founder of Adamimogo Football Club, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo, has decried the outing of Nigeria’s athletes at the just-concluded Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Olu-Alo, who is the Planter of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain World-wide, lamented that it was disheartening that Team Nigeria returned home without a single medal despite over N12 billion released by the Federal Government for participation in the games.

A statement by the personal assistant to the cleric, Hon. Deji Ogunbusuyi, urged the Federal Government and sports administrators to invest more in grassroots sports to discover talents and nurture them to stardom, saying such will guarantee good performance for team in the future sporting events.

He commended the Nigerian-German born shot putter, Yemisi Ogunleye, for winning gold medal at the games.

Alo said though Ogunleye represented Germany in the sport fiesta, available evidence showed that she was born to a Nigerian father of Ekiti descent, which makes her feat worthy of celebrating.

While saluting the athlete for writing her name in gold by her exceptional outing, Olu-Alosaid Ogunleye made history by winning the gold medal in the women’s shot put event at the Paris 2024 Olympics which marked Germany’s first gold in the event since 1996.

Olu Alo, who also extended similar gesture to other Nigerian-born athletes who represented other countries at the Olympic Games, said their switch of allegiance to other nations exemplified failure of governance in Nigeria.

He said there is the need for sports stakeholders to give a thought to how Nigeria athletes are dumping the country to represent other nations and come to reality that something was surely wrong with the country.

According to him: “Our highly talented youths are now switching allegiance to other nations in droves. This should  terrify us. It was a bad signal. They were blazing the trail garnering gold medals when Nigeria was without a medal at the global sport fiesta. This was a sorrowful scenario.

“Those who are desirous of having a better nation should know that this signaled a failure of our system and we have to reset our brains and thinking to get it right.

“The time for all of us to rethink is now, so that we can have a future that is far better than what we are experiencing today.

“On behalf of Adamimogo Football Club and Adamimogo  FC Supporters and Fans world-wide,  I congratulate the Omuo Ekiti born Yemi Ogunleye on this feat and wish her the best in her current and future endeavours.
