Actress Sarah Martins hospitalised after health scare

Actress Sarah Martins has been hospitalised following a severe health scare, revealing she woke up feeling lifeless and unable to feel parts of her body.

In an Instagram post, Martins said she slumped after struggling to work, attributing her condition to extreme exhaustion from overworking herself throughout December.

According to her, she underwent 32 tests, all of which came out negative, including checks for cancer, fibroid, kidney issues, malaria and typhoid.

She expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged her need for proper bed rest, stating she had neglected her body while prioritising work.

She wrote: “Woke up today and couldn’t feel any part of my body. For a second, I felt lifeless. I still struggled and went to my stores to do inventory and a few interviews for incoming employees, and that was when I slumped.

“All through December, I worked every single day, and even when my staff travelled for the season celebration, I still kept working. No days off, no stretches, no nothing… just a walking corps working tirelessly to cater for others, forgetting myself.

“I did over 32 tests today, and all came out negative, including cancer, fibroid, liver, kidney, malaria, typhoid, etc. I guess God took proper care of my organs while I neglected my body.

“I am typing this from a sick bed but I will be fine because the God that protects the vulnerable kids I struggle for will never fail me. They said I’m extremely exhausted and need proper bed rest. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your constant protection over my life”.

Premarital s3x essential to verify partner compatibility – Actress Sarah Martins

Actress Sarah Martins has rejected the traditional expectation that couples abstain from s3x until marriage.

In an Instagram video, Martins challenged a popular pastoral analogy that compares men who seek premarital s3x to bicycles while advising women to wait for a Bentley, representing true commitment.

Dismissing the claim, she defined s3xual compatibility as an essential element of informed decision-making before marriage, not a moral lapse.

She described herself as deeply loyal in relationships, fully committed once involved, with no inclination to cheat or play games.

According to Martins, it makes no sense to enter a lifelong partnership without knowing whether her partner can meet her needs, including s3xually.

Martins dismissed the idea that making a man wait ensures his loyalty or proves a woman’s virtue.

Sarah said: ‘’So a pastor said ‘’any man that asks you to sleep with him before marriage is a bicycle and that we should wait for our Bentley’.

“My question is ‘what if I am the one that is the Bicycle and the man is the Bentley? because I am a girl’s girl, a lover girl, a girl that doesn’t like to cheat on a man. When I am in, I am in. I do not know how to play games. It is me versus my man and I. So why do you think I will blindly enter into a relationship or marriage without confirming the strength of my man or if he is actually a man down there before I finally say I do? Because I do not intend to start sneaking around after being married to my man.

“It is okay for me to get to know this man in and out, s*x inclusive before I finally get to settle down with him.

“I do not understand the idea that people are throwing around that any man that asks you to sleep with him before marriage is this or that..Bro! It doesn’t work like that.

“If you like make a man wait for ten years, any man that will stay will stay and any man that will leave you will leave you.

“A man can stay with you for ten years but the very night he has his way, that same night, he would leave you.

“Making a man wait so long doesn’t guarantee a relationship or starving a man does not guarantee you being a good girl”.

Sarah Martins admits roadside cooking error, slams KAI for seizing food

Actress Sarah Martins has accused Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) operatives of maltreating her while cooking for the less privileged in Lagos.

She shared a video of her bruised hand on Instagram, expressing heartbreak over the incident.

Sarah admitted she was wrong to cook on the walkway but criticised KAI officials for taking away food meant for poor street children without empathy.

She questioned the lack of empathy, stressing the trauma caused to vulnerable kids who were excited about a meal.

In response, the Lagos State Government issued a statement on Friday defending the KAI operatives’ actions.

Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, clarified that Martins’ roadside cooking violated environmental and sanitation laws, posing risks to public safety and infrastructure.

According to her, she cooked on the street to bond with street kids, making them feel loved and valued, adding that her social media platforms aren’t monetised, and she does this to create a connection with them.

Sarah argued that she should’ve been allowed to finish the meal and be advised instead of being treated poorly.

She’s advocating for humanity and peace, supporting the government through her outreach work.

She wrote: “Yes I was wrong to cook on the walkway but KAI operatives were mean enough to carry away food meant for poor street children without empathy!

“What happens to empathy??? Not for me but for the vulnerable people i was cooking for. These are people that were already excited about having a taste of good meal for that day, these were children that probably haven’t eaten the entire day and the meal I was making for them was their only hope for the day.

“You cut their hopes short! You traumatized them! You took away a big cooler of rice meant for 200 street kids. I wasn’t crying because you took all my cooking utensils including the entire food meant for poor people, I cried because hungry children depended on that meal for dinner.

“And I ask again, what happens to empathy??? I do not cook on the street for content or for financial benefits because my social media platforms are NOT even monetized.

“I cook on the street in order to bond with the street kids, making them feel loved, appreciated, valued and cared for by watching me cook for them with so much love and care.

“They watch me cook from starting to finish and they see the amount of love I pour into each meal I make for them and that’s what makes my own style of charity different.

“There’s a difference between watching a loved one cook for you with so much love and admiration and seeing someone bringing food just to share to you.

“The bond I’ve created with the street kids is what has kept me going since the past 7yrs in this outreach.

“For the fact that I wasn’t cooking to sell, I feel I should have been allowed to finish the particular meal, share to the kids and then advise to discontinue for safety reasons instead of being treated like an animal.

“I chose not to wail at government and blame them for everything but rather support the government by feeding the poor from my hard earned money as an advocate of peace and humanity that I am.

“This is our Nigeria, and together we shall make it great again by impacting into one another in our own little way. The tiny voices of those poor kids with the tears in their eyes still echoes in my head. It is well. It can only get better”.

Lagos Govt defends KAI action against Sarah Martins ‘street’ cooking

The Lagos State Government has responded to actress Sarah Martins’ allegations of assault by Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officers, defending the enforcement action as necessary to uphold environmental laws while appreciating her philanthropic intent.

In a statement on Friday, Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, said that Martins was apprehended by officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC/KAI) at Admiralty area of Lekki Phase 1, for conducting “unauthorised activities on public infrastructure,” specifically cooking on a road median.

“The individual in question claimed to be conducting charitable cooking activities on the road median, which unfortunately contravened existing environmental and sanitation regulations. While the Lagos State Government deeply appreciates the spirit of philanthropy and community support demonstrated by many residents, such initiatives must be carried out in compliance with the state’s extant laws to ensure public safety, environmental protection, and urban order,” Wahab wrote.

He emphasised that while the government values community support, such initiatives must comply with state laws to protect public safety, prevent infrastructure damage, and avoid traffic disruptions.

The statement highlighted the administration’s commitment under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to campaigns like #KeepLagosClean and #ZeroToleranceLagos.

Wahab noted that enforcement, including the arrest and removal of equipment, was routine to preserve urban order.

“The administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu remains committed to fostering a clean, sustainable, and livable Lagos for all. Unauthorized use of public spaces, such as road medians, for commercial or personal activities poses significant risks, including damage to infrastructure, health hazards, and disruption to traffic flow. Our enforcement actions, including the arrest and removal of equipment in this case, are part of the #KeepLagosClean and #ZeroToleranceLagos campaigns aimed at preserving the city’s aesthetic and functional integrity,” he added.

He encouraged Lagosians to seek approvals or use designated spaces for charitable activities and to partner with agencies for guidance.

“Lagosians are encouraged to utilize designated spaces or seek necessary approvals for such activities to contribute positively without compromising the state’s standards.

“We urge all residents and organizations involved in charitable endeavors to partner with relevant agencies for guidance on compliant practices. This collaborative approach will help amplify the impact of goodwill while safeguarding our shared urban spaces”, he added.

The response comes a day after Martins detailed her ordeal on Instagram, claiming harassment, bullying, and injury from hot oil spilling during the confrontation, which left her with burns on her hand.

She described the seizure of her cooking gas, food, and supplies as an “unfair attack” on routine act of feeding the homeless.

In an emotional Instagram post accompanied by a video of injured hand, Martins recounted the harrowing encounter.

According to the actress, the KAI officials harassed and confiscated her cooking gas cylinder, food items and other materials, causing hot oil to spill on her hand, resulting in visible burns.

She wrote: “My heart aches. Today, as I was cooking free food for the vulnerable and homeless people on the streets of Lagos, like I always do, some uniformed men came there, harassed me, bullied me and took away the food I was cooking, took away my cooking gas and everything I was making free food with. My only offence was serving love on a plate through my healthy meals. I am not a chef, and I do not cook for a living. My heart aches”.

Martins, known for roles in films, emphasised that her street feeding initiative is a personal mission to support Lagos’ less privileged, not a commercial venture.

Sarah Martins condemns body shaming, defends women’s right to cosmetic surgery

Actress Sarah Martins has decried body shaming, especially against women who undergo liposuction and Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL).

In a post on Instagram, the actress urged critics to stop judging those who chose cosmetic procedures, stressing that everyone has the right to decide what works best for their bodies.

She clarified that liposuction is not a shortcut to massive weight loss but a procedure that often follows significant weight reduction, sometimes after gastric bypass surgery, to achieve more defined results.

Martins also highlighted that liposuction does not guarantee a flawless figure, noting that maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including proper diet and exercise, is essential to sustaining its benefits.

She encouraged women to either embrace their natural looks or confidently opt for surgery without fear of stigma or judgment.

She wrote, “Stop talking down on people who got their body done, sis, if you knew the amount of work they put in just to get a good result, you would understand the fact that liposuction will not fix your massive weight.

“Liposuction can fix a belly that has already lost a huge amount of weight, not your whole body!

Why do you think people have to go through a gastric bypass before undergoing Lipo? Liposuction doesn’t guarantee a banging body.

“If you must achieve a good result after liposuction, you MUST lose weight, so I laugh when people assume liposuction fixes people’s bodies.

“I do not support anyone body shaming people!

“You did not create them, so you have absolutely NO right to talk down on their body type!

“If you’re confident in your natural body, rock it with pride. However, if you feel you need surgery to enhance your appearance, do it still!

It’s your money and your happiness, too, so do what works for you!

“Even people who are naturally curvy and work so hard to maintain their figure are also being accused of undergoing surgery because nobody seems to believe some women are naturally built that way.

“Note: even after surgery, if you still fail to take the proper measures to maintain your figure by eating healthy, you will still go back to square one. Stop body shaming people!!!!!”.
