    Four leading Nigerian music producers, Sarz, Puffy T, P.Prime and Andre Vibez have joined forces with Femi Ayeni’s Ultima Studios to identify and mentor the next set of Afrobeats stars.

     The decision to join forces by the beatmakers and Ultimate Studios has created a fresh TV reality show, ‘Next Afrobeats Star.’

     With an international platform that aims to help dreamers, music enthusiasts, and undiscovered talents embark on a transformative journey, the show producers urge emerging talents to take the opportunity to dream, compete, and soar.

     According to Ultima Studios, Next Afrobeats Star, is focused on exporting the vibrant culture of Afrobeats to the world while redefining the landscape of the global music industry with its groundbreaking approach to discovering and nurturing talent.

     With a legacy of discovering talents like Iyanya, Niniola, Johnny Drille, and Chike through the

     popular ‘Project Fame West Africa,’ Ultima Studios is now embarking on a new chapter with

     Next Afrobeats Star, by joining forces with music luminaries behind some of the biggest Afrobeats hits of recent years.

     Already, the studio has called for applications and entries from music talents through online registration or text message while live shows are scheduled to commence in April 2024 and promise a 10-week journey filled with auditions, mentorship, and electrifying performances.

     Ultima Studios, having played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s entertainment landscape, continues its pioneering legacy. From adopting international formats with ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ in 2004, Project Fame West Africa in 2008, Lions’ Den in 2021 and Family Feud in 2022, Ultima Studios now pioneers the launch of its own original international-standard music reality format with Next Afrobeats Star.

    Why I can’t work with Davido, by Sarz

    Renowned record producer, Osabuohien Osaretin aka Sarz, has explained why he and superstar singer Davido can’t seem to have a collaboration.

    Sarz, in an interview with Cool FM Nigeria, said he has made several unsuccessful attempts to work with Davido.

    According to him:“Davido and I have worked but I don’t just know why it never comes out.

    “I think the way he works and the way I work are very different. I feel like that is a big difference.

    “A lot of times when I get in a session with him, there are just like so many people but I’m very used to working with the artist and maybe like two other people alone. So, when there is so many people, I can’t concentrate.

    “And I think he feeds off that. So, it clashes sometimes. This is from perspective. I don’t know what he thinks.”
