Rising music star Uche Barry Nwachukwu aka Savage Xtra has opined that storytelling has become easier for him with Afrobeats.

The Afrobeats artist and Alta Confianza boss made this known in a recent chat.

“Afrobeats is easy for me to tell my stories the Naija way. It comes naturally like a fish in the ocean,” he said.

Recently, Savage Xtra stormed Landmark event centre, Lagos to perform songs from his second studio album, Young, Blessed and Dangerous (YBD) and he made a solid statement with his craft.

The music sensation, who hails from Imo State but was raised in Rivers State, speaks about his foray into music.

He says: “Growing up in Oyigbo is rough and tough. But I love music. Somehow providence brought a producer who opened a studio in our community. From then, I started going there to record whenever I collect my money working as a tipper boy. Long story short, I returned to music after I finished my education and couldn’t get a job. I also discovered that I make progress whenever I move with music and I stuck to it.

“This second album is unique because it was made from the point of nothing. It is a 14 track album that featured some amazing musicians like Ejima 042, Phloryda, Goodlife, Moseric, Ghosted among others. These guys may not be big now but you cannot ignore their songs.”

Some of the tracks from Savge Xtra’s YBD album include Blessings, Daily Prayers, Sanko, Night Mails, Feel my legs, Delilah, and I pray.

Savage Xtra said he is one artist who would be accessible no matter how big he becomes in the industry.
