    Big Brother Naija season one alumnus and season 2 host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, is returning to host the third edition of the reality show.

    The lawyer turned media personality successfully hosted the second edition of Big Brother Naija which saw aspiring hip-hop artiste Efe Ejeba win N25 million prize money and a SUV after three months in the Big Brother house.  He also hosts the youth focused ‘Rubbin’ Minds’ on Channels Television, and is co-host of ‘Men’s Corner’ on Ebony Life Television.

    “We are thrilled to have Ebuka return as host of Big Brother Naija,” the Regional Director, M-Net West Africa, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu said.

    “This was the platform that unearthed his potential first as a housemate and then as a host, ultimately launching him to stardom.     Following the recent announcement of Big Brother Naija’s return for a third edition, auditions for the show held in six locations across Nigeria drawing massive crowds with the promise of 45 million naira worth of prizes available to the eventual winner of the show.     Cussons Baby Moments unveils Season 3 Jury

    Three  renowned professionals, ace movie actress and producer, Mercy Aigbe-Gentry, creative photographer, Yetunde Babaeko and a bespoke tailor and fashion designer,  Mai Atafo have been unveiled once again to continue as jury of the Cussons Baby Moments Season 3. The three celebrities have been the jurors of the events since Season 2 in 2014.

    The brand has taken yet another step towards rewarding babies and their parents, having previously rewarded Daniel Uwadia in 2014 and Morireoluwa Modesire Davids in 2015. It would be recalled that Cussons Baby recently hosted ‘Toddler Grow and Shine’ competition for toddlers to exhibit their talents.

    The inaugural Cussons Baby Toddler Grow and Shine produced Imisioluwa Oladapo as the grand prize winner, and she took home N1million education grant.

    While introducing the panel of judges to the media in Lagos to kick start the season 3 of the competition, the Group Brand Development and Activation Manager Faith Okoli, said that the Cussons Baby Moments initiative is a platform meant for parents to share the captivating and amazing moments of their babies in pictures and videos.

    Mrs. Okoli said “We are proud to have the season 3 of Cussons Baby Moments because this is yet another occasion to celebrate our bundles of joy”

    Speaking on the platform as a means of showcasing captivating and amazing baby moments, Mrs. Okoli said parents upload pictures of their babies on the Cussons Baby Facebook page and these uploads are voted for. Selections are based on the highest number of likes. The judges subsequently review the selected images based on some key parameters. Basically, the selection is 2-tier: Family and friends of the babies and the Cussons Baby judges’

    While explaining the rationale behind the choice of panelists, Mrs. Okoli said ‘’every baby is amazing and it is very difficult to select a winner among winners. Hence, our choice of  three professionals that are not only parents and well respected members of the society, but are also renowned in their chosen careers. Our judges have been with us from the inception of the Cussons Baby Moments in 2014. They can easily identify with those unique budding attributes and captivating moments we desire to celebrate in our babies’’

    Following the success of the Coke Studio Season 2, the music platform has returned with the third Season, boasting a mix of established and new musicians. Running from October to December, according to its management, this season will bring together 28 artistes from five different countries to sing 52 songs, showcasing their local and signature styles to produce unique songs.

    Nine Nigerian artistes billed to feature on the show include, Eva Alordia, Ice Prince, Flavour, Chindinma, 2Face, Yemi Alade, Olamide, MI Abaga and Afri Dija, while talented music maestro Cobhams Asuquo would bring his expertise to bear on the show as Executive Producer.

    Management also revealed that Coke Studio Season 3 will be in distinct segments; mash ups between Nigerian and East African artistes; Artiste challenges; acoustic performances; and new songs from featured artistes.

    There would also be a radio show version for Coke Studio Africa, airing across seven cities; Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Aba, Anambra and Ibadan. Also, this season, Coca Cola will engage up to 500, 000 Nigerian teens in secondary schools with an opportunity to showcase and highlight their talent with the state of the art Coke Studio bus.

    Commenting on the initiative, Marketing Director, Coca-Cola, Patricia Jemibewon described the Coke Studio music platform as Coca-Cola’s way of sharing in the passions and aspirations of the African youth.  She also said it will feature ‘mash ups’ of top musical talents across Africa as well revive the atmosphere of live music, using music to encourage unity and drive African pride.

    “Coke Studio is a way of showing to the youths and also   exploring the potential avenue for youths to express themselves through the music,” said Jemibewon.

    The quest to become a Master Chef took a new turn last week as the assessment of contestants in the Knorr Taste Quest was based on their culinary prowess, organisation of their works, tidiness as well as their presentation.

    With the aim of deepening market penetration and create observatory consumer experience of the Knorr cude, the contestants in that episode were tasked with preparing a three-course meal within one hour with compulsory ingredients: Lasagna sheets, Kidney and Lettuce for the Starter; Tomatoes, Plantain, Potatoes and Eggs for the Main Course while Couscous, Blueband Margarine and Knorr Chicken were essential for the Dessert.

    After the contestants were done, the judges were surprised at the outcome of the task: Balogun and Dapo who were on probation last week, impressed the judges with delicious dishes which triggered comments.

    The guest judge, Ozoz Sokoh, who is a food blogger, expressed satisfaction with what she experienced while tasting Dapo’s dishes.

    Following the judges’verdicts, Victor, Tunji, Dapo and Balogun emerged the best four while Aina, Hauwa and Davies were at the bottom three. Davies’ dishes was said to be over seasoned, while that of Hauwa and Aina didn’t meet the judge’s expectation.

    In a competition monitored by The Nation, Dapo emerged the winner of this week and was rewarded with N20,000 while Aina bid the show farewell as she was evicted.

    “As we approach the grand finale with six contestants standing, watch out for more thrills to discover who will wear the crown in Knorr Taste Quest Season 3 and earn the bragging right as Nigeria’s culinary best. The winner will be going home with a whooping N5million prize; kitchen equipment and loads of Knorr bouillon cubes. Also, prizes of N1million and N500, 000 will be given to the first and second runner,” the organisers said in a statement.
