    SFFL Showtime Flag Football League hits playoffs

    The SFFL Showtime Flag Football League playoffs teams have emerged after the end of the regular season on Sunday.

    The SFFL Showtime Flag Football League playoffs will feature the top six teams on the log. They are Lagos Athletics, Lagos Titans, Spartans, and Lagos Rebels. Others are Panthers Sports and Dragons occupying the 5th and 6th position after nine regular season match days.

    The top two teams, Lagos Athletics and Titans have received a bye to the semi-finals of the playoffs with the four other teams battling it out to secure a semi-final spot.

    Spartans in third will face fourth placed Rebels while Panthers in Fifth position will tackle sixth placed Dragons.

    The SFFL Showtime Flag football league playoffs is scheduled to commence on 26th  November with the top six teams, who will compete to become the last two teams standing for the  Showtime Bowl of Season X scheduled to hold  10th December.

    All matches of the SFFL Showtime Season X takes place at Meadow Hall Way, Alma Beach Estate, of Lekki-Epe Express Way, Lekki.

    NationSports report that some shocking results were recorded during the SFFL Showtime Flag Football League  as Lagos Athletics continued its impressive run in Season X defeating Lagos Rebels 36-25 to maintain top spot going into the playoffs.

    Mavericks pull the chestnut out of the fire by winning their first game of the season on the last day of the regular season with a nail biting 23-22 win over Panthers Sports. 

    Elsewhere, Lagos Raptors beat Outlaws Athletics 22-20, while Warriors made a push to sneak into the playoffs spot with a 36-14 demolition of Dragons but it wasn’t enough to get a spot. Titans Athletics beat Spartans 35-33 to round off last match Day of the regular season.

    SFFL showtime league begins Sept 24

    The SFFL Showtime league will commence on September 24th with loads of exciting flag football on offer.

    This was disclosed by the SFFL League Commissioner,  Adejumo Adebare yesterday in Lagos.

    According to him, an All Stars game billed for Sunday, 17th September between Showtime All Stars against last season champions, The Outlaws will serve as the curtain raiser.

    Adebare added that the season, tagged Season X, will have nine rounds of games with all ten teams playing each other non-stop every Sunday in a league format at the Meadow Hall School, Alma Beach Estate, Lekki.

    After the regular season, there will be a playoffs scheduled to commence on the 26th  of November and will feature the top 6 teams, who will compete to become the last two teams standing for the Showtime Bowl slated to hold on the 10th  of December.

    Speaking ahead of the league kicks off, Adebare said: “We are going into the new season very prepared. We are making sure that everything needed to have a successful league season are ready and i can say that we are fully prepared. We have a lot of thing in store and we want people to come and see it.”

    The regular season, will kicks off with a face-off between Dragons and Panthers in a battle of two teams that have something to prove.

    Defending Champions, The Outlaws will battle against The Lagos Mavericks while last season’s losing finalist, Titans will hope to do one better when they start their campaign against newcomer, Lagos Athletic Flag Football.

    “Season X promises to deliver incredible touchdowns, unforgettable plays, and the magic that happens when you embrace the spirit of flag football,” he added.
