Actress Sharon Ooja is celebrating her first traditional wedding anniversary with her husband, Ugo.
In an Instagram post, she expressed gratitude to God for the gift of a beautiful marriage, describing their union as a living evidence of God’s grace and favour.
Sharon reflected on their special day, stating that she had her dream traditional wedding and married her dream man.
She credited God for sustaining their marriage and providing protection.
The actress also prayed for her fans, wishing them a partner who complements them mentally and spiritually, and someone to grow with in Christ.
She wrote, “Happy traditional wedding anniversary to me and my husband!
Thinking back to this beautiful day, I can’t help but smile!!! I had my dream traditional wedding and married my dream man.
Oh, we are pure and living evidence of God’s grace and favour.
Every day, I just say silent prayers to God for the gift of a beautiful marriage because it’s only God who sustains. And where God provides, He heavily protects.

While sharing her testimony in Church, Sharon said despite achieving success in her career and personal growth, she longed for a life partner.
“Several times I would have conversations with God, saying, ‘You’ve given me work, financial stability, and I’m great at what I do. There’s just one thing I’m still waiting for,” she began.
After years of praying and seeking guidance, Sharon recalled how she had a profound encounter with the Holy Spirit while filming in the desert which prompted her to focus on personal growth and let go of her burdens.
“I was filming in the desert and had a heavy encounter with the Holy Spirit. I remember hearing, “Leave your burdens here,” she said.
She stated that her turning point came after a conversation with her pastor, who encouraged her to reflect on herself and her desires and according to her, she was seeking someone to take care of her, but the pastor advised her to focus on becoming the best version of herself.

She emphasised that God needs no defense, as He is mighty and capable of saving Himself.
Ooja also shared a valuable lesson from her therapist, highlighting the importance of pausing to ask oneself three crucial questions before responding to a situation: Why am I compelled to respond? Who am I responding to? and What drives my response?
By understanding these questions, Ooja believes individuals can avoid unnecessary conflicts and focus on their personal relationship with God.
Ooja further advised her followers to prioritise reading the Bible and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit, ensuring they won’t be swayed by misguided opinions.
”As I’m growing in my walk with Christ, I’m learning to tame my tongue, and the urge to have baseless religious arguments, that are more from ego than the advancement of the word.. before you get involved in any spiritual /religious argument, ask yourself is this for me?and my ego?
“Or is this for the advancement of the word? Because God doesn’t need any defense, trust mel!!!
“He doesn’t!! He is mighty to savell! He is God all by Himself. There is something my therapist taught me… she said when you feel the urge to respond to something … pause and ask yourself, why? Who? And what? If you understand these three questions.
“You’ll likely keep quiet … because most people will only argue and respond from their level of reasoning,their mental state,their spiritual maturity, their frame of mind.…
“And all these things have nothing to do with you or the kingdom of God……. just read your bible and fellowship with the Holy Spirit ,so nobody will confuse you a moral of the story i avoid religious arguments lol you’re right I’m wrong,” she wrote on Instagram.
In the last one week, social media and the internet have been flooded with varied opinions on the wedding of sterling actress, Sharon Ooja to Ugo Nwoke.
Ooja, known for her exceptional talent and charm on the screen, exchanged marital vows with Nwoke in a lavish white and traditional ceremony that was held in Lagos, and Abuja, Federal Capital Territory respectively.
Since the wedding ceremony, there have been different opinions from individuals after pictures of Nwoke’s previous marriages surfaced online.
Unknown to many, Ooja and Nwoke had already been joined in matrimony by the law when she announced their union had been recognised many months back.
Ooja made this revelation in a heartfelt post on her Instagram account on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
“A few months ago I said yes to my odogwu silencer as I call him as he came and silenced the noise, my Igbo king, civil ceremony done and dusted ink dried. Yes I’m fully a mrs as I type this,” she said.
Continuing, Ooja exhausted all the accolades while expressing her deep love and admiration for Nwoke saying “He brought the calm…I’ll say yes a thousand times to your kindness and good heart… yes a thousand times to the discipline and structure you bring… yes a thousand times to your absolute love and protection you are my best friend bro bro, our inside joke !! … dear husband This is fully the hand of God !”
The couple, however, proceeded to host friends and families in a church and traditional ceremonies.
While some believe Ooja has the right to her choice of man as husband, others think she fell for a man, who had been married more than once.
An unknown personality who has been attacking the newlyweds has been making spurious allegations about Nwoke saying he’s married more than two women in the United States of America, where he resided before relocating to Nigeria.
“Sharon Ooja’s Odogwu Silencer is not who he claims to be. He is an Odogwu ‘Swindler.’ He is not a billionaire in Naira nor a millionaire in Dollar. He is not a CEO but just an employee at Verizon. He is a notorious cheater, and it is well known in California. That’s why he went down to Nigeria to marry Sharon,” alleged Instagram user LadyLenaTheMoneyGirl.
However, Ooja has continued to ignore all the noise about her husband but rather expresses deep affection for finding her soulmate.
In one of her tweets, she wrote, “I went to the desert to pray, and the Holy Spirit kept saying, ‘Your husband has come, your husband has come.’ Instantly, I knew he was the one,” said Ooja.
Continuing, she wrote, “Yesterday I married my dream man! The man with the kindest heart…. A true king!! My gift from God, thank you for making me the happiest wife. Our love is protected by the God of the angel armies .. our king Jesus … Thank you all for the love of my insta family! My Odogwu and I are sooo grateful.”
Interestingly, Ooja’s colleagues led by Bisola Aiyeola, Davido amongst others have come out to support and pray for her, urging Ooja to overlook the naysayers.
Bisola Aiyeola also defended Ooja against the accusations, saying, “My God. The lies you confidently typed are no shock to me. Na your way. But guess what, you cannot dampen my girl’s peace at all. Please go and pack more lies, okay, because on Satu rda Sharon forever.”
On her part, Sola Sobowale wrote, “My darling Sharon, what a beautiful bride you make. May God bless your home and union. Media personality, Shade Ladipo, has commented on the controversy surrounding Sharon Ooja’s husband, Ugo Nwoke, who faces allegations of being involved in multiple marriages.
It was rumoured that Nwoke had three previous marriages and three children.
Ladipo questioned how he managed to grieve, heal, and remarry so quickly.
Sharing her own experience, she stated that moving on from a marriage, even an amicable one, is difficult unless one never truly loved their partner.
Shade Ladipo expressed skepticism about people changing their patterns and prayed for Sharon Ooja, hoping Jesus would “fix it” for her.
