  • Sheraton Lagos lines up activities for August

    Sheraton Lagos Hotel has announced that it has lined up many programmes for this month.

    The general manager of the hotel, Mr. Barry, said: “In August, we believe there is something for everyone. From food to creativity, we believe everyone will love what is in store this month.

    “To kick things off, on the 2nd of August, we will be having an international beer day and an international colouring book day. For the international beer day, we will be having beer specials at the lobby bar, goodies pub and pool bar. We will be having: Buy Two, Get One Free. If you buy five beers, you’ll get free suya.

    “For the colouring book day, every child who checks in that day or dines in our restaurant, will get colouring sheets. These colouring sheets will go up on the colouring board which the hotel has recently set up for kids.

    “We will be celebrating the afternoon high tea. For every meeting or conference that will be happening at the hotel, the afternoon high tea will be served. The afternoon high tea will contain eclectic bites like smoked salmon, mini quiche lorraine and more.

    “On August 19, we have the potato  and photography days. For the photography day, we will having a social media competition. Throughout the week, we encourage guests to take pictures in our hotel and tag us on the social media. Post with the highest number of wins will win a prize. Our hotel has many instagrammable locations and we believe that guests will find exciting places to take pictures.

    “For the potato day, it is best celebrated by incorporating potato into every dish you prepare which is exactly what we plan on doing. We will be creatively displaying potatoes on the buffet. There will be three different types of potato preparation on the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. We will  have live cooking with potatoes – stir-fried, sautéed, buttered and so  on.

    “On  August 23, the hotel will be celebrating sponge cakes. The quintessential classic of the cake world. This airy queen of teas is the guest of honour on the national sponge cake day on August 23.”

  • Sheraton Lagos celebrates women

    Sheraton Lagos Hotel and Towers has unveiled a special package to mark special occasions in March to celebrate women.

    The Food and Beverages Manager for the hotel, Mr. Churchill Bemigho explains:  “On Mother’s Day coming up on March 13, every mother who arrives for our Sunday brunch will get diffusers. We will equally offer a most elevated brunch experience on that day to show all mothers that we care and honour them.

    “Also on the International Women’s Day, every woman who comes in for dinner will also get a diffuser.

    “If you are stopping by on the 17th of March, you will be delighted to be part of our St Patrick’s Day commemoration at our Goodies Pub. A local Irish band will be on hand to perform and create that excitement to get you in the mood. Our guests are sure to enjoy our specials on beers that day. We are really out to deliver great moments to our patrons.

    “During the month of March, we will also offer specials on our cakes. Sheraton Lagos Hotel’s pastry department is renowned for delicious unforgettable cakes, meat pies and other items which are a hit amongst our guests.

  • Sheraton Lagos hosts Femi Kuti’s concert

    Sheraton Lagos Hotel will host Femi Kuti in live a concert   on   September 22.

    The concert will be hosted  in   partnership   with   media   and   entertainment   company, Chocolate City Group. Femi kuti is expected   to   enthrall   music   lovers,   Afrobeat   enthusiasts   and members   of   Marriott International’s loyalty programmes – Marriott   Rewards,   The   Ritz-Carlton   Rewards, and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) , with an exclusive live performance of his seventh studio album, One People One World.

    Sheraton Lagos gets new chef

    Sheraton Lagos Hotel has got a new.  chef, John DePrins, the hotel has said.

    He is coming with a huge wealth of experience and would  add an exciting dimension to the culinary experience of the guests.

    Chef Johan has gained over 40 years combined experience in the kitchen. He began his career as a culinary teacher. He practised for 10 years before establishing as an executive chef.

    He has worked in various countries such as Belgium, Congo, Djibouti, Oman, Qatar, Tanzania, Algeria and Nigeria.

    The executive chef is not new to the Nigerian market as this is his third Nigerian hotel. Having won three awards, Chef Johan brings a unique spin and creativity to his kitchen.

    Commenting on the chef, the hotel’s general manager, Barry Curran, said: “Sheraton Lagos Hotel will become the go- to place for diners as Chef Johan is worth his salt. His creativity in the kitchen is second to none and we can’t wait to show everyone his craft. Asides from the creativity, his food is equally delicious which is just as important.

    Marriott International Hotels in Nigeria made up of  Sheraton Lagos Hotel , Sheraton Abuja Hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Lagos and Le Meridien Ogeyi Place, Port Harcourt,  said it is set to deliver a unique experience to customers on  Valentine’s Day.

    Sheraton Lagos Hotel has marked the annual  beer and pizza day with a special deal for customers.
