  • Rohr Commends Simba Group For Supporting Eagles

    Super Eagles’head coach, Gernot Rohr has commended Simba Group for supporting the team in their quest to rule the world.

    Rohr who stated this at Sheraton on Tuesday where he was presented with a two-wheeler said the support has helped shape the national team and football in the country.

    He praised the company for the presentation and promised to sell the products to the players who he said have become good ambassadors of Simba.

    Vinay Grover, managing director of Simba Group stated that the partnership with the NFF would be a long lasting one. He noted that football has become a strong unifying factor and urged the players to always bring pride to Nigeria.

  • Simba group launches Queen Riders to empower women

    In celebration of the International Women’s Day, Simba Group, sole distributors of TVS KEKE has rolled out project “QUEEN RIDERS” aimed at empowering women to become key players in the tricycle “keke” rider’s community.

    The Business Head of Simba Group, Mr Manish Rohtagi explained that “Keke” Business is not gender based but meant to encourage women to tap into the growing market to earn a decent livelihood.

    To further encourage women actively in the “Keke” transportation business, Simba Group has set up a Free Checkup Camp where professional engineers attended to more than 50 Women tricycle riders on various issues.

    The support included free diagnosis and repairs of their vehicles with spare parts at discounted rates, free oil filters and engine oil for attended vehicles and end-users’ training on safe driving and keeping their vehicle fit .

    A free pink tarpaulin was also provided for the women.

    Speaking on the contributions of Simba group in the society, the Marketing Head, El Hadj Seck said “Our market leadership position is the retribution of the training and empowerment programs held for the past 30 years in Nigeria. We intend to have more program to empower under-represented population within the transportation industry. 

    Over 5,000 mechanics Pan-Nigeria have been trained by Simba Group, and 3,000 special tool-sets distributed.

    Women urged to become commercial tricycle ridders

    More women have been urged to become tricycle riders as a means of livelihood.

    Business Head of Simba Group, Minish Rohtagi made the call in Lagos on Thursday during the celebration of the 2018 Women’s Day, Simba group to announce plans to empower women.

    The group promised providing a baby center and scholarship for tricycle riders.

    He said that the group is reaching out to other states to get other women to ride the tricycle and enjoy the benefits offered by the company.

    According to him, a governor of a northern state has promised that fifty tricycle drivers will be given to the group.

    “We are reaching out to other states too, apart from Lagos, and these also include the northern states. We already have the word of one of the northern governor that we will have fifty female tricycle drivers. This is heartwarming, because we would have assumed that it would have been difficult to get female drivers in northern states.

    “We give free services to women riders.  We are thinking of more packages like a baby center for women tricycle riders for example, and we also intend giving out scholarships.”

    Speaking on the contributions of Simba group on the society, the Marketing Head, El Hadj Seck said many tricycles have been produced for Lagos drivers and more will still b produced.

    “More than 60% of tricycles used all around Lagos come from Simba group, and they are standard tricycles. Our tricycles have features like dashboard, in-built music players and so on and a very strong chassis. We test our products day by day to see that it is working well.

    “We have been doing women empowerment over the years, and we hope to do more to better the lives of women in the society.

    One of the female riders, Ada Jesus, told The Nation that the scheme has been very helpful to her. “I am thankful to Simba group, I have benefitted from them, and I am able to feed myself and family.”

     

  • NDE partners firm to setup tricycle assemblage plant

    The Abuja Branch Manager, Simba Group, Ravil Bajaj ‎has said the firm will establish tricycle assemblage plant in the country next year.‎

    Bajaj said this yesterday at the launch of TVS Deluxe in Abuja, adding that the Group was already in partnership with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to empower unemployed youths.
    He noted that the firm had commenced talks ‎with the Federal Ministry of Trade and Industries to facilitate the production process. 
    Bajaj said: “We are actually working very seriously to setup our assemblage plant next year so that we can have more Nigerians empowered through the factory. That is the next phase and we are already in talk with some state governments and we are getting lots of interet.”
    Describing the ‎new product as such that is protected from behind against possible hit by vehicles, he noted that it is more secured especially to protect passengers.
    ‎Earlier, NDE Director of Procurement, Mr. Adegbite Adebayo said the Directorate is interested and always willing to partner with the firm and other corporate organisations tha‎t creates jobs.
    Adebayo said aside from helping to market to product as a viable means of creating jobs, the partnership would be extended to local manufacturing.
    “All over the world, the fulcrum of employment generation is always when products are manufactured locally. Yes, It is at the stage of assembling but over time, it will create opportunity for manufacturing and technology transfer,”‎ Adebayo said.
    He added that manufacturing of engines, other components are potential areas entrepreneurs could take advantage.
    According to him, the NDE is considering other ‎areas of partnership for the purpose of engaging te unemployed.
    “From assemblage, we can go ‎into manufacturing and then lead to more job creation,” he added.
  • Oluwo, Simba group partner to empower female cab drivers

    The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulr-Rasheed Akanbi, Telu I, has launched his support for a company; Simba Group TVS ,in empowering the Ibadan based Association of Women Cab Riders, TVS Queen Riders.

    A statement by his Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, said the monarch announced this while receiving the Ibadan Branch Director of Wandel International Nigeria Ltd, a subsidiary of Simba Group Company, Mr. Anand Mehrotra, for the flag-off of the empowerment rally at his palace in Iwo.

    Oba Akanbi said it was expedient for the engagement of women in complementing their husband’s efforts especially in enhancing the upkeep of their homes.

    He said: “I`m more than interested in the training, the situation of the country calls for mutual responsibilities between husband and wife mostly towards the educational promotion of their children.

    The Ibadan Branch Director of Simba Group TVS, Mr. Anand Mehrotra, lamented the low level of women empowerment in the south west, stressing the need for relevant authorities to look into the issue.

    “We want to support and create hope for women through empowerment in cab driving. Most women don’t have job nowadays especially in few south western states of Nigeria” he said.

  • Simba Group unveils solar home inverters

    The Simba Group has launched the Luminous Solar Home Inverters to combat the fluctuating power supply and the rising cost of electricity.

    Head of Operations, Simba Group, Mr. Rajneesh Gupta said: “This is a revolutionary product that uses Intelligent Solar Optimisation Technology (i-SOT) and i-Charging to ensure efficient solar utilisation, whilst also drawing on electricity or generator supply if available.”

    He explained that the product’s proprietary intelligent algorithm cuts electricity supply where available, if solar power is sufficient. It does this, all the while, ensuring that battery backup is not compromised in the event of power failure.

    Gupta said unlike other solar home kits, which are power direct current-powered equipment, and require external charge controllers, the Luminous Solar Home Inverter powers AC appliances which features are built into a unit.

    He said the products are available in 850VA and 1.5KVAs, to address household power needs. “Luminous customers have seen the remarkable benefits of this product in action, the unique product has helped its users save significant amounts on diesel bills by reducing the generator running times to very few hours,” Gupta added.

    Similarly, those who get electricity from the grid, Gupta said, will save about 30 per cent on their monthly bills.

    The company announced that the new solar inverters would not be sold at a higher price than their non-solar counterparts for three months.

    Simba Group, distributors of luminous inverters and power backup solutions, on Tuesday rolled out its network of Simba Service Centres across cities in Nigeria. The company, which represents brands such as Luminous, Genus, Epsilon and Exicom, distributes and services power backup products such as Inverters, Batteries, Online UPS and Integrated Power Management Systems.

    Announcing the network roll out in Lagos, Simba Group Managing Director, Chief Vinay Grover, said “We have always believed that a good quality product means very little unless it is supported by a high level of service before, during and after the sales process. It is with this in mind that we recently launched our one-of-a-kind 24*7 nationwide contact centre and exclusive customer-service online portal.”

    Chief Grover explained that as more and more customers turn to the company’s award winning customer care offering, it becomes important that the company brings these services closer to them. “It is with this in mind that we committed to extending our service through the creation of new authorized centres, which I’m happy to announce are fully operational now.”

    Grover invited business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to open such authorized service centres in conjunction with the company to contact them directly. He said Simba plans to roll out a further 20 service centres within the next few months.

    Simba Group, distributors of luminous inverters and power backup solutions, has won Capital Finance International (CFI) 2015 customer satisfaction award for Nigeria.

    At the award ceremony held in London, the United Kingdom (UK),  organisers of the award said it was in recognition of firm’s commitment to customer satisfaction centred on providing quality, excellent and affordable services.
