    Skyewise group concludes 10th anniversary with gala night, thanksgiving service

    Skyewise Group, a growing diversified integrated conglomerates, has concluded its 10th anniversary in business with a gala night and a church thanksgiving service. 

    Activities marking the company’s one decade lasted for seven days, from 31st May when a road show held in Abuja to commence the anniversary. 

    Other activities include, novelty football match, open house & customer value drive, CRS Initiative, then the gala night on Friday which was followed by a thanksgiving service at Champion Faith Assembly, Abuja. 

    While speaking at the gala night, the CEO of Skyewise Group, Dr. Elvis Abuyere, thanked partners who have consistently supported the company over the years, saying they contributed immensely to growth of the brand. 

    He also appreciated the staff for their dedication and commitment which has taken the brand to where it is, helping it to broker new grounds and opportunities. 

     Abuyere reiterated the readiness of Skyewise Group to continue offering world class services to clients within Nigeria and across the West African market. 

    The company renders numerous services, including loan facility, automobile sales and services among others.

    An award-winning gospel artist, Timi Dakolo, was also on ground to render melodious songs to the guests. 

    A thanksgiving service at Champions Faith Assembly concluded the celebration where the presiding pastor prayed for continuous success for the company, the growth of its CEO and development of staff and customers.

    Selected staff members and partners of the organization were honoured to mark the climax of the event, coupled with other entertainment fire works. There was so much to eat and drink to celebrate the guests and the landmark achievements.

    Winners of Skyewise business support fund receive N7m prize

    Six young entrepreneurs who emerged winners at the recent business pitch “Meet The CEOs” organised by Skyewise Foundation have received their cash prizes in fulfilment of the foundation’s promise, upholding the credibility it has over the years established.

    The young entrepreneurs at the 4th edition of the “Meet The CEOs,” had a first hand mentorship from highly successful chief executives, including the President/CEO or Chocharis Group Dr. Cosmas Maduka, CEO of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria Charles Odii and others.

    They also pitched their business ideas after which six winners emerged.

    The summit tagged ‘Cultivating the Next Generation of Young Entrepreneurs for Tomorrow’s Economy’ saw over 100 applications for business empowerment.

    However, the applications were screened and only left with ten.

    This number later pitched their business ideas to a panel of unbiased judges and six persons made it to the final.

    All six winners have been credited via a bank transfer. Elizabeth Sunday, the CEO Zaza Food won the star prize of N2m.

    Others are, Scholastica Ladan Kashim, the CEO Kastican Business Enterprise, Emmanuel Adams the CEO Adams Gold Designers, Miss Naimah, CEO Adron By Nay, Okoro Faith the CEO Food Aza Services and Kunle Eyefid, the CEO ERP Data Tech. Each of the candidates received the sum of N1m.

    The MD/CEO of Skyewise who is also the president of Skyewise foundation, Dr. Elvis Abuyare while commending the elated winners charged them to maximize the opportunity given to them by the company to expand their vision. He equally congratulated them for their steadfastness, during and after the program.

    In his words; “I want to welcome you in a special way to Skyewise organization, we are delighted to have you here today. We are also excited to be here to hand over the cash reward to the deserving winners. Today we are giving out 7 million naira to this year’s winners of meet the CEOs 4.0. These young entrepreneurs have distinguished themselves and we are happy to have them. I want to urge you to be very meticulous and careful.”

    “Remember that to whom much is given, much is anticipated. You are expected to put into practice the experiences and mentorship you have garnered at this year’ s conference to expand your dreams and elevate your businesses. This fund is not meant for you to start enjoying yourselves, rather, it is for you to use it wisely and sensibly to push your visions and dreams to the next level.”

    The star winner Esther Elizabeth in response said, “I’m really super excited, firstly, I want to acknowledge God who makes everything good in his own time. I’m happy today because skyewise has given me the privilege to smile again as a struggling entrepreneur in Nigeria. I’m happy to embrace this new role of a mentee because skyewise is already a role model to me.”

    While giving vote of thanks, Mr Senkoya Oluwole, a trustee of Skyewise Foundation applauded the winners for coming out top during the event. He assured them of the NGO’s desire to follow up their business growth as well as monitor their progress in the respective crafts especially with the investment of the money in their businesses.

    Skyewise Group appoints experienced chartered accountant Dung as new CFO

    An investment company, Skyewise Group, has appointed an investment Banker and a chartered accountant, Dung Dan Dung as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

    Dung’s appointment is contained in a statement by the company’s Group Managing Director, Dr. Elvis Abuyere.

    He said Dung boasts of over a decade experience in assets management, having worked with FCMB Pensions Limited where he managed over N400 billion assets. 

    His areas of  portfolio management include, securities dealings and investment research. 

    He is also an auditor with vast experience in fraud examining and forensic auditing. 

    Abuyere expressed confidence that Dung will bring his experience to bear in management of the firm’s growing assets and add value in brokering new business grounds.

    Dung Dan Dung (ACA, MBA, AAET, AAT) is a seasoned investment Banker and a chartered accountant (ICAN), who is passionate in the business of identifying, packaging and scaling-up startups in the Fintech, Agro-allied and other sectors. He also consults for reputable companies in setting up their structure, building their portfolios and other restructuring arrangements.

    He is a Member of Association of Entrepreneurs & Technologists of Nigeria and also an Associate member of Accounting Technicians of West Africa. He possesses expertise in Project Management, Business consultancy, Financial Modeling, Agro Allied and Portfolio management and currently a level II CFA candidate. 

    He holds a BSc in Accounting from University of Abuja and a Masters in Accounting and Finance where he conducted a research on the Effect of macroeconomic variables on stock returns in sub-saharan Africa as published by Nasarawa State University. 

    He also trains students preparing for professional qualification (ICAN & ACCA) locally and internationally.

    The Skyewise Entrepreneurship Summit 2023 at the cozy Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, CBD Abuja Nigeria recordded huge success and milestones. 

    With the theme, “Unveiling the power within you for national entrepreneurial growth and fevelopment”, the 2023 edition was the third in the series. 

    Notable CEOs, including leadership excellence coach and the founder of Guardian Of The Nation International (GOTNI) Dr. Linus Okorie; popular AOP Adaora Sydney Jack; Tofunmi Akinseye; actress Juliet Ibrahim; Emmanuel Ekpa; businessman Ibidapo Lawal; Dr. Ifeoma Anyanwu; Dr. Summy Smart Francis, Inonge Mbula and others attended the summit. 

    Managing Director, Skyewise Investment Services Ltd, Mr. Oluwole Senkoya reiterated the commitment of the organisation towards making massive investment towards the development of the young population which he described as the bedrock of the nation’s economic development. 

     GMD of Skyewise Group, Dr. Elvis Abuyere noted that the strength of the nation’s economy relies on entrepreneurship, a field he said the youths wield enormous strength in. 

    According to Abuyere, small and medium scale businesses boost the economy greatly, emphasizing that the youths should utilize their creativity to build the nation’s economy. 

    “A new Nigeria is possible and the future of Africa is in entrepreneurship. We are passing the message that we do not need to wait for the government anymore, look within you for national transformation. 

    “Every idea you have seen over the years was formed from within individuals. Within yourself, there is so much you can give to the society and before you know it, the world will be better for it”, he said. 

    He insisted that the task of national economic transformation should not be left in the hands of the government alone, urging the young population to participate.

    Okorie urged the youths to undergo a structured process and diligently learn and refine their ideas till they attain maturity. 

    He cautioned the youths against jumping the process but grow and advance in learning and building until they optimize. 

    A retired Federal Permanent Secretary, Anthonia Ekpa, urged leaders to demonstrate integrity, expressing concern that many problems facing the country are traceable to lack of integrity and corruption. 

    She said good leadership is known by the capacity of leaders to be where they are, serve with integrity without leaving their names stained. 

    She urged young people aspiring to lead to make integrity their watchword. 

    Juliet Ibrahim urged young people to vigorously pursue their dreams and never give up, urging that they should always identify their purpose in life. 

    The CEO Neveah Ltd, Ibidapo Lawal, urged the youths not to be in a hurry to relocate but contribute in making the country work. 

    While noting that the country is battling various problems, he was quick to add that several opportunities abound which can be explored in making Nigeria great again.

    A panel discussion which centered on harnessing the potentials of the country’s young population to enhance economic growth was moderated by broadcast journalist, Seun Okinbaloye of the Channels TV. 

    His panelists consist of Elvis Abuyere, Tofunmi Akinseye, Emmanuel Ekpa, Dr. Ifeoma Anyanwu, Lawal Ibidapo and Juliet Ibrahim.

    Dr. Linus Okorie, retired federal permanent secretary, Anthonia Ekpa, veteran broadcaster, Adaora Sydney Jack of the AIT, Dr. Summy Smart Francis and Inonge Mbula spoke as distinguished invited guests. 

    Popular finance and leadership coach, Dr. Olumide Emmanuel and Africa’s most Influential investment coach, Dr. Stephen Akintayo also spoke virtually.

    After a successful pitching, Skyewise Group doled out the sum of three million naira to empower most outstanding business ideas. 

    Beneficiaries include, Ojo Oluwatobi Felicia N1million while Saadatu Hamza Madaki, Oyi Joseph Okechukwu, Peter Esiet and Mercy Adeoluwa got N250,000 each
