Even Michael Jackson couldn’t survive ‘darkness’ in music industry – Slimcase

After about half a decade of hitting the limelight and making waves in the music scene, singer Slimcase has decided to take the back seat.

In an Instagram Live session, the hypeman underscored the ‘darkness’ that characterises the music business.

He insisted the world of music making is extremely shady and indeed delicate that even the legendary Michael Jackson couldn’t make it out alive despite being considered the world’s best singer.

The Ikorodu-born Oluwafemi Oladapo also cited self-styled ‘Wahala’ musician, Portable  who at some point resorted to crying out for help as evident in the lyrics of one of his songs.

He mentioned American singing giant, R. Kelly who after enjoying so much fame and career success is serving 20-year jail time for child pornography and the enticement of minors for s3x.

Slimcase stated this while reacting to a fan who scorned him for ditching music

He said: “Do you know why I left music. You, can you be an artiste for five years? You know you can’t.

“Go and ask Portable. He sang to a point and broke into, “God abeg o! Na who go help o!’

“When you reach that level, you’ll now know that this music work we’re doing is so dark. So dark! Very delicate work.
