    Grammy award singer Beyonce, 35, who is expecting twins with husband Jay-Z, had an African themed baby shower to celebrate her upcoming bundles of joy with friends and family.

    The “Carter push party” which held on Saturday In Los Angeles, had African drummers, people dressed in African outfits and Afrobeats music blasting in one of the make shift huts.

    Celebrities in attendance included Jay Z, Mum, Tina Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Solange, Michelle Williams and a host of others.

    Beyonce and Jay Z, officially became billionaires according to Forbes which has placed their joint wealth at $1.16 billion.

    Solange Knowles, sister of pop diva Beyonce will tie the knot with her long term boyfriend Alan Ferguson this Sunday.

    Ferguson, 51, is a music video director with a long standing relationship with Beyoncé and Jay Z, his future in-laws.

    Not much is known about Sunday’s top-secret nuptials, but word on the street is the ceremony will be held in New Orleans, where Knowles, 28, lives with her 10-year-old son, Julez.

    Solange will be following in her sister’s footsteps who similarly wed Jay Z in a secret ceremony in 2008.

    This will be Solange Knowles’ second marriage. She was once married to Daniel Smith at the age of 17 — and divorced three years later.

    After the notorious elevator fight between Solange Knowles and brother in law Jay Z, that caused a huge buzz on social media, blogs and websites world over, Solange is said to have a 233 percent increase in record sales.

    Early this month, surveillance footage sold to TMZ, shows R and B singer lashing out at the rapper brother in law in  the elevator at The Standard Hotel following New York’s Met Gala. Beyonce is also seen in the surveillance footage standing aloof.

    According to Nielsen SoundScan data, Solange’s digital sales are currently at 2,000 downloads from 600 the previous week.

    The trio have since spoken out about the video, stating that they have “worked through” the drama.

    American singer and actress, Beyoncé Knowles has made her first public statement since the leaked elevator security footage of her husband and sister fighting came out last week.

    This is also the first that has been heard from Solange, Beyonce’s sister  and Jay Z, her husband  as the family trio issued this joint statement to The Associated Press:

    “As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.

    “ Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.

    “ The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same, ” the trio said.

    The fight between Solange and Jay Z reportedly broke out after the former accused Jay Z of assaulting Beyonce.

    About 24 hours after news site, TMZ released the video of Beyonce’s husband, Jay Z being attacked by her sister, Solange Knowles, in an elevator at The Standard Hotel, feelers have emerged as regards what caused the brawl.

    A Twitter user shared a screenshot of a tweet, apparently posted by Solange yesterday, allegedly giving her reason for attacking Jay Z. She later deleted it. From the wordings of the post, it appears Jay had been physically assaulting Beyonce and Solange was left with no choice than to defend her elder sister.

    The video, taken from the inside of an elevator in Manhattan’s Standard hotel, was published online on Monday, May 12 by the California-based news outfit. The footage shows Solange Knowles lashing out at Jay Z while his wife, Beyoncé, stands by.

    The trio were leaving a May 5 party after the Met ball in the Boom Boom Room, the Standard’s rooftop club.

    Solange is the younger sister of Beyoncé.
