    Soma took to Instagram a few weeks ago to erase the “I love you” off his birthday post for Angel.

    This comes after it was rumoured that the two lovebirds split up a few weeks ago when Angel Smith supposedly went out with some male pals at a well-known event.

    Amidst the commotion, Soma chastised critics for bringing him into the split.

    Angel and Cross dated during the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season in 2021 but their relationship hit the rocks shortly after the show.

    “I know severally, different housemates have come to say, ‘Ah! Soma, just take am easy with Angel o. You know say Angel fit …’ I’m like, ‘Guy, I don’t care.’ Cross was part of them.”

    Angel inferred: “And I don’t get the gist. They don’t know me at all. All the people that were in Biggie’s house, the person I can say knows me like that is Mercy because we’ve an existing relationship. And maybe, Frodd as well.

    “But the other people don’t know me. Even Cross doesn’t know me like that. He does not know me at all.”

    Former Big Brother Naija All Stars contestant, Somadina ‘Soma’ Anyama, is expanding his horizons by venturing into acting.

    He shared his excitement on Thursday, October 5, via his social media handle, announcing that he has been granted an official chance to showcase his acting talent.

    The reality TV star turned singer expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, mentioning that he was presently on set for his inaugural acting role.

    The 31-year-old tweeted: “On set for my first movie gig post the show… gratitude.”

    Soma’s initial taste of fame turned bitter as he lasted only two weeks during his first appearance on the BBNaija show in 2017, largely due to ‘failed tactics’ of playing it too safe.

    He and Miyonse were the first evictees from the See Gobbe edition of Season 2, which saw Michael ‘Efe’ Ejeba emerge as the winner.

    Six years later, he seized a second opportunity to enter the show alongside 23 other former housemates in the All Stars Season 8 edition, competing for N120 million and enticing prizes.

    This time, driven by the desire for the prize money rather than romance, he missed out on the former but found a connection with Angel, despite it not being part of his initial game plan.

    Former Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate Angel Smith has opened up on the displeasing narrative and comments she get online regarding on relationship with Soma. 

    She said the negative comments of how unloving she can be and just using Soma as a public stunt as affected her deeply.

    Angel, who guest starred on Hero Daniels’ podcast following her eviction from the Big Brother Naija All Stars house, discussed some of the insecurities she developed after her first time in the house.

    One particular issue that she took note of is the online narrative that paints her as ‘unlovable’, about her new relationship with Soma.

    She noted that contrary to certain opinions, she became more open during the All Stars edition as opposed to her first time in the house.

    She said: “I’m seeing on mainstream Twitter just today that people are saying me liking him is PR and things like ‘He would cry blood’, ‘This girl would show him pepper’ it puts me in a really bad light. I really don’t like it because I feel like if anything, this season has shown that I can be soft.

    “If this was in 2021 when I was still a hard guy and I was always keeping my guard up I’d say this is a fair narrative but even at that it’s still unfair. I feel bad about it because this narrative makes me feel like I’m unlovable or incapable of loving people and I think that it’s quite the contrary.”

    Her relationship with Soma has been met with skepticism, especially because both parties admitted to having romantic partners before entering the house. As a result of this, social media users tagged their romance as a ploy to win the show, which Smith has not discredited.

    Soma also recently refuted the trending narrative, noting that their relationship is the real deal and they are taking it slow.
