Residents of Ogbomoso including farmers have stormed the palace of Soun of Ogbomosoland in protest against the invasion of their farmland by suspected herdsmen in the Oriire local government area, Ogbomoso, Oyo state.
According to them, the invasion had resulted in the death of farmers, while crops worth millions of naira were destroyed by cattle.

Recall that a cleric in one of the Pentecostal churches identified as Evangelist Segun Adegboyega was killed while working on his farmland at Gege village along Ogbomoso-Iseyin road last month.
The residents, who were disturbed by the trend in their hundreds took the peaceful protest to the palace of Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Olaoye at Oja-gbo area.
The protesters sought the intervention of the monarch in putting an end to the killings and destruction of their farmlands by the herders.
