The Chairman of Ikorodu West Local Development Area, Otunba Kazeem Sulaimon, has said that trees are catalyst for human’s well-being.
Sulaimon stated this during annual Tree Planting Exercise held at Togedejoye Primary School, Ojokoro, Ikorodu, with the theme “Nurture Our Future.”
He urged residents to plant trees and protect the planted ones. He called for all to plant at least a tree in a life time, nurture it and watch it grow.

He said tree planting enhances mental health, wellness of the children and general wellbeing of the society.
“It is a proactive step to nurture our future by creating sustainable green spaces in our community,” he said.
Baale of Ajaguro, Chief Orepitan Sikiru Iwofun, lauded the council for embarking on tree planting.
