  • Unlocking the supernatural through favour!

Welcome to another impactful week! I hope you were blessed by last week teaching. Today, we shall focus on Unlocking the Supernatural through Favour!

From scriptures, we discover that we are in the latter days; the era of supernatural favour in the body of Christ. As a result, there shall be an unusual release of supernatural favour in the Church of Christ before Jesus returns (Psalm 102:13-15). Also, the Church will begin to possess the land and wherever the soles of our feet shall thread upon shall be given to us. It is written: We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them (Psalm 44:1-3; see also Haggai 2:3-9). Also, we understand that redemption is a product of favour. It is written: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8). Grace, which also means favour, is the heritage of the redeemed and everyone that is born again is listed among God’s beloved. As it is written: To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6; see also 2 Corinthians 5:21). ‘Beloved’ here connotes ‘to be favoured or a favourite’. That means every child of God is God’s favourite on the earth. Thus, we have our roots in divine favour by redemption (Psalm 5:12). As a result, everything about our lives attracts favour.

Furthermore, the ‘Church in the wilderness’ (the Israelites) was a highly favoured and struggle-free Church. The Bible records: This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us (Acts 7:38). During the 40-year sojourn of the Israelites in the wilderness, they experienced the tangibility of favour. They enjoyed Manna twice daily and the Bible says that: Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years (Deuteronomy 8:4). Even with this, there is nothing in the Old Testament that can be compared to what is available to us in the New Testament. If the Church in the wilderness was that favoured, how much more shall the Church of the Living God bought by the Blood of Jesus be favoured. Concerning the Israelites, God said: And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty (Exodus 3:21; see also Exodus 12:36). God is committed to giving His people favour and we are privileged to be His people by redemption. Hence, we are entitled to divine favour. Also, the Church in the upper room enjoyed favour. As it is written: Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved (Acts 2:47). Favour was the identity of the first Church. That means the Church of Christ is ordained to swim in favour. Furthermore, Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, was robed with favour. The Bible says: And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man (Luke 2:52). Jesus said: As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world (John 17:18). Thus, we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus. That means whatever pertains to Christ pertains to us in redemption (Romans 8:17).

What, then, is in Favour that Unlocks the Supernatural?

    • Favour Terminates Tears: Favour turns our tears into testimonies. It is written: For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled (Psalm 30:5-7). For instance, favour terminated the tears and grief of Ruth and placed her supernaturally in the lineage of Jesus Christ forever! Thus, it is favour in a man’s life that defines the quality of his life.
    • Favour is the Cure for Man’s Struggles: Joseph’s brothers sentenced him to a life of servitude and struggles but favour located him supernaturally from one level to another (Psalm 105:17-22). Thus, it is impossible to secure favour with God and not have favour with men.
    • Supernatural Enlargement: Grace is the covenant mother of greatness. It is grace that makes great, not skill or strength. Every giant in the Kingdom is made of favour. No one can be greater than the grace of God at work in his/her life and grace simply means divine favour. Apostle Paul said: But by the grace of God I am what I am… (1 Corinthians 15:10). It simply means that without grace, we are grounded. However, by the release of divine favour, greatness surges and enlargement is steered up (Isaiah 60:1-22).

In summary, apart from the favour of salvation, every other favour we desire is at a cost. It is important to understand that God’s favour is real, but it is not free. This is because even the favour of salvation still demands that we repent and be baptised, so we can be saved and then receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. That means there is what we must do to trigger favour. It is important to understand that favour is not a religious theory; it is a virtue with proofs. New birth is the first covenant step into a world of favour. Thereafter, we are listed among God’s beloved after the order of Joseph (Psalm 5:12). Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!” For further reading, please get my books: Walking in the Miraculous, Operating in the Supernatural, Releasing the Supernatural, Commanding the Supernatural and All you need to have all your needs met. • Unveiling vital keys to unlocking the supernatural!

According to scriptures, we understand that the supernatural is the natural habitat of every child of God. That is, every child of God is a supernatural being ordained to command signs and wonders. As it is written:  The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit (John 3:8).

In essence, the supernatural is neither magical nor the exclusive preserve of a few, but the birthright of the redeemed. Furthermore, because we are ordained to function and operate in the supernatural, the events of our lives are designed to be ‘inexplainable’ but undeniable. Just as it is with God, we become a walking miracle, operating signs naturally and at will (Mark 16:17).However, it is important to recognise that we live in a Kingdom that operates principally on keys. ‘Key,’ here connotes a revelation of what we must do to take delivery of what has been provided for us in redemption. Unfortunately, many of us are disadvantaged because we are waiting for those things to be released.

But, what are the Vital Keys to Unlocking the Supernatural?

    • A proven new birth experience: First, we must understand that unlocking the supernatural begins with a proven new birth experience. Let’s remember that God is no respecter of persons and the Scripture cannot be broken. If we are too big to be saved, then we are too big to operate in the supernatural. Thus, until we become born again, we can’t manifest or flow in the supernatural (2 Corinthians 5:17; Psalm 11:3).

We must be Committed to developing our Faith: Let us recognize that even though we are ordained for signs and wonders, it takes faith to function in that capacity. This is because faith is the master key that establishes our command for operating in the supernatural. Furthermore, faith does not just grow on its own; rather, it is consistently built. Remember, Christ said we will accomplish more than He did by faith. To actualize this, we must grow our faith to operate in the same capacity as Jesus did and even higher than he did when he was on earth. (Hebrews 11:33-34; see also Daniel 6:23; John 14:12).

Commitment to Spiritual growth and development: Spiritual growth and development is a non-negotiable requirement for anyone to operate in the supernatural. However, we must recognise that it is not about how long we have been there but how deep we are in the Word. In other words, maturity is not a function of age but depth. Therefore, to experience spiritual growth and development, there are two ways we must show commitment: feeding on the Word and prayers.

Commitment to serving God and the interest of His Kingdom: When we are genuinely committed to serving God and the interest of His Kingdom, we become a wonder to our world. We must understand that we are not serving God for fun; rather, we are serving Him to secure our destinies, posterity and eternity. Therefore, we must be tireless with our engagement; because we can never serve God in vain (Luke 10:17; see also Luke 10:19-20; Daniel 3:28).

    • We must be committed to engaging biblical mentality in our approach to the issues of life: To operate in the supernatural, we must allow what God says about us to rule our minds. This is because until our minds are renewed, our lives cannot be transformed. The Bible says for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: And be renewed in the spirit of your mind. For instance, at new birth among other things, the Kingdom of heaven was imported into our lives, the Bible says: the kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21; see also Proverbs 23:7; Ephesians 4:23).

This is why we should not allow the devil deceive us about the simplicity of the gospel. The supernatural is real but until we see its reality, we remain in captivity. For instance, many years ago, Pastor Haggin told the story of a lion cub that was captured. This lion cub grew among the sheep, and invariably lost its identity. So, he began to eat what the sheep were eating, and went about like the sheep. Its identity was lost by virtue of the environment. Every time they went down for watering by the valley or the stream and sighted a lion, all the sheep would take to their heels, including the ‘lion-sheep’, because it had lost its identity. But one day, as he was drinking water from the stream, it saw its reflection on the surface of the water. Then it reasoned to itself, “I look like that thing we usually run away from.” So, the next time a lion showed up, while others ran, the lion-sheep crossed over to the other side. They wagged their tails and it was welcome back into the lion’s club.

No doubt, the ‘lion-sheep’ had the lion nature in him but he lost it to its environment. It began to fear what others feared because he had lost the consciousness of his lion nature. Just like the ‘lion-sheep’, many believers have lost their redemptive consciousness to their environment, thinking that whatever happens to others must also happen to them.

We need to understand that oppression has no power over us because we have been repositioned far above it. We need to be conscious of this truth in order to gain command.

In conclusion, it is important to know that the clearer the picture of our new redemptive status, the clearer our command of the supernatural. Therefore, let us set ourselves for a fresh baptism of the supernatural as we engage the truth of scriptures to constantly think supernatural thoughts, take supernatural steps and speak supernatural words that make us live heavenly lives here on earth.  Nevertheless, to experience the reality of the supernatural, you must be born again. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! • Unlocking the supernatural through favour!

Welcome to July, the seventh month of the year. “Seven” signifies perfection; I therefore prophesy perfection into your life.

We are in the latter days, the era of supernatural favour in the body of Christ. As a result, there shall be an unusual release of supernatural favour in the church of Christ before Jesus returns. Also, the church will begin to possess the land and wherever the soles of our feet shall thread upon shall be given to us. As it is written: We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.

But, what entitles us to favour?

Redemption: Redemption is a product of favour. It is written: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8).

Grace, which also means favour, is the heritage of the redeemed and everyone that is born- again is listed among God’s beloved. As it is written: To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6; see also 2 Corinthians 5:21).

‘Beloved’ here means to be favoured or a favourite. That means every child of God is God’s favourite on the earth. Thus, we have our roots in divine favour by redemption. The Bible says: For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield (Psalm 5:12). As a result, everything about our lives attracts favour.

What then are the Scriptural Examples as regards favour?

    • The ‘Church in the wilderness’ was claded with favour: For instance, concerning the

Israelites, God said: And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty (Exodus 3:21; see also Exodus 12:36).God is committed to giving His people favour and we are privileged to be His people by redemption. Hence, we are entitled to divine favour

Also, during the sojourn of the Israelites, described as the Church in the wilderness, for forty years, they experienced the tangibility of favour. It was a highly favoured and struggle-free church. The Bible records: This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us (Acts 7:38).

They enjoyed manna twice daily and the Bible says that: Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years (Deuteronomy 8:4). We must understand that there is nothing in the Old Testament that can be compared to what is available to us in the New Testament. If the church in the wilderness was that favoured, how much more shall the church of the Living God bought by the Blood of Jesus be favoured?

    • The Church in the Upper room enjoyed favour: As it is written: Praising God, and having

favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved (Acts 2:47).

Favour was the identity of the first church. That means the church of Christ is ordained to swim in favour.  Furthermore, Jesus Christ, the Head of the church was robed with favour. The Bible says: And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man (Luke 2:52).

Jesus said: As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world (John 17:18).  We are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus. That means whatever pertains to Christ pertains to us. Thus, we are highly favoured individuals (Romans 8:17).

What, then,  are the virtues of Favour?

    • Favour terminates tears: Favour turns our tears into testimonies. It is written:

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled (Psalm 30:5-7).

    • Favour in a man’s life defines the quality of his life
    • Prosperity: And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand (Genesis 39:2-4).It is impossible to secure favour with God and not have favour with man.
    • Favour is the cure for man’s struggles: Joseph didn’t struggle; favour positioned him from one level to another (Psalm 105:17-22).
    • Supernatural enlargement: Grace (favour) is the covenant mother of greatness. It is grace that makes great, not skill or strength. Every giant in the Kingdom is made of favour. No one can be greater than the grace of God at work in his life and grace simply means divine favour. Apostle Paul said: But by the grace of God I am what I am… (1 Corinthians 15:10; see also 1 Samuel 2:9; Ecclesiastes 9:11; Romans 9:16).

However, favour only answers to the redeemed; that means, to experience the reality of divine favour, you must be born again. • Engaging vital keys to operating in the supernatural! (2)

Last week, we began this teaching with the understanding that by redemption, every child of God is ordained to operate naturally in the supernatural. However, there are certain vital keys that guarantee our access to operating in the supernatural, and we examined one of them last week. This week, we shall explore two other vital keys, which include:

    • Be Committed to growing in power: We recognise from scriptures that spiritual empowerment is in levels. In an encounter with God, Prophet Ezekiel narrates: Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar. Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side. And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins. Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over (Ezekiel 47:1-5).

‘Water’ in the above scripture represents the Holy Spirit and its various levels of empowerment¯ankle level, knee level, loin’s level and levels that could not be passed over, which is where Jesus operated. The Bible says: For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him (John 3:34). However, it is important to understand that though empowerment is in levels, it is always at a cost. The cost of growing in power is prayer and fasting, which is a non-negotiable requirement and the purchasing power for empowerment. It is written: Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? (Isaiah 58:6; see also Matthew 25:8-9; 2 Corinthians 11:27).

It is impossible for anyone to walk in power consistently without subscribing to the demands of prayer and fasting. The Psalmist said: O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee (Psalms 63:1-3).  The “thirst of the soul” is the expression of our desires on the prayer altar and the “longing of the flesh” is the fast that it is coupled with.

However, it is important to understand that it is the combination of power and authority that gives us command over any issue of life. Jesus called His disciples and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases; yet, they could not cast out the devil out of a demon possessed man. When Jesus’ disciples asked Him why it was so, He replied: Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:19-20; see also Luke 4:36, 9:1).

As believers, we must understand that though faith confers us with authority, it must be coupled with power for delivery. Authority has no relevance without power. When the Apostles were empowered by the Holy Ghost, they prayed and great power manifested. We also understand from scriptures that when Jesus fasted, He returned in the power of the Spirit and the people saw the mighty power of God. That means our change of level in the school of power will lead to our change of level in our command of the supernatural (Luke 4:14, 9:43; Acts 1:8, 2:1-5, 4:30-33, 5:12, 15).

    • Be committed to giving towards Kingdom advancement endeavours: Our commitment to giving towards Kingdom advancement empowers us for supernatural prosperity. As it is written: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33; see also Haggai 1:5-13; Malachi 3:17-18).

‘God first’ does not only apply to soul-winning and follow-up of new converts, it also applies to our finances. Everyone who is genuinely committed to Kingdom promotions with his or her finances, naturally commands financial abundance and supernatural breakthroughs (Genesis 22:16-18).

It is important to understand that commitment to giving towards Kingdom advancement endeavours empowers the saints for supernatural prosperity. However, supernatural prosperity is an entrustment, not an achievement. That means God only entrusts it to those He can trust. Our capacity to promote God’s Kingdom determines the level of His wealth that He can entrust to us. Therefore, the bigger our hearts for God’s Kingdom, the greater our access to His resources. All we need is the giving grace, which can be accessed through prayers, because the altar of prayer is the altar of grace (Psalms 35:27; Haggai 2:3-9; Zechariah 1:17; Luke 16:11; 2 Corinthians 8:3, 7; Hebrews 4:16). As you engage these vital keys, I decree that you will begin to command dominion, naturally, over life’s situations and circumstances in Jesus’ name! Remain ever blessed!

Are you born again? This means, have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord? If you haven’t, you can do so as you say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!” For further reading, please get my books: Walking in the Miraculous, Operating in the Supernatural, Releasing the Supernatural, Commanding the Supernatural and All you need to have all your needs met.

  • Engaging vital keys to operating in the supernatural!

By redemption, every child of God is ordained to operate naturally in the supernatural. The Bible says: The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit (John 3:8).

However, until we engage the keys that unlock the supernatural, we cannot be in command of same. For instance, when we have the key to a door we desire to access, we have dominion over that door. Likewise, when we have the keys to walking in the supernatural, we operate in the supernatural, naturally.

What, then, are some of the vital keys to operating in the supernatural?

v           We must be committed to developing our faith: We are empowered to command the supernatural by faith. Jesus said: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12).

We secure the hand of God that provokes the supernatural through faith. As it is written: Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? (Isaiah 53:1; see also 1 Kings 18:44-45).

We must understand that faith naturally puts us in command of the supernatural. This is why it is wisdom to commit to building our faith because it is our strength of faith that defines our level of command of the supernatural. Concerning the heroes of faith, the Bible records: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens (Hebrews 11:33-34; see also Daniel 6:23; John 14:12).

Thus, the stronger our faith, the higher our level of command. However, we do not wait for our faith to be built; rather, we must take personal responsibility to build it. Just like a sportsman must be committed to building his muscles if he must win continuously, we must be committed to building our faith in order to operate in the supernatural, naturally. For instance, building our physical muscles requires good nutrition and exercise; similarly, we must build our faith muscles by feeding strong on the Word, which is the principal source of faith. We must also feed on anointed books, which enlarge our understanding of the word of faith. Daniel said: …I Daniel understood by books…, and as a result, he was among the most gifted men in Bible history. Anointed faith books are boosters of faith because faith is a direct product of spiritual understanding of the truth (Daniel 9:2; Acts 8:30-35).

Remember the Bible says: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).

The second ‘hearing’ in the above scripture connotes understanding, which simply means being able to see what God is saying. Every time we see the truth, faith rises and the brighter the truth, the stronger our faith; the stronger our faith, the higher our level of command of the supernatural.

Paul said: The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments. No doubt, he became a most gifted apostle and he flowed in abundance of revelation. He came to a point that he could boldly say: For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith (Philippians 1:21-25; see also 2 Corinthians 12:7; 2 Timothy 4:13).

That is, his dominion over death was demonstrated. Furthermore, he confidently declared: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13).

This stemmed from his addiction to the Word, which built his faith because revelation is the mother of faith. We cannot be committed to the Word and not grow in revelation; and we cannot grow in revelation and not grow in faith. Moreover, we cannot grow in faith without growing in the command of the supernatural. It’s all a function of committing ourselves to the study of the Word and the practice of same and then, we start changing level from glory to glory. We must also understand that faith has unlimited capacity for growth and as we grow from one level of faith to another, we go from glory to glory. The Bible says: For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).

It is also written: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18; see also John 11:40).

Therefore, it is time to take responsibility for building our faith to enhance our level of command of the supernatural. Remember, the level to which we develop our faith determines our level of command of the supernatural. Remain ever blessed!

  • Commanding the Supernatural by the Power of the Tongue!

Commanding the Supernatural by the Power of the Tongue!

God’s Word is the spiritual mirror that shows us God’s picture for our lives—who we are in Christ , what we carry, what we can do and how to do them. As it is written: But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:25). It is knowing who we are, where we are from, what we are worth and what we carry from the Word that empowers us to become what we have been redeemed to be. Therefore, until we catch our real picture from God’s Word, we will be subjected to the hazards in the world.
There was a story told by Kenneth E. Hagin about a lion cub that was captured and made to grow among sheep. Whenever they went to the stream and sighted a lion on the other side, all the sheep fled for their lives, including the lion-sheep. Invariably, it lost its lionic identity by virtue of its environment until the day it saw its reflection on the surface of the water. That day, it regained its identity and confidence. As a result, when other sheep fled at the appearance of a lion, it didn’t. This helps us to understand that we must not allow our environment to corrupt the picture of who we really are.
Who are we? •Every child of God is redeemed a citizen of heaven: By redemption, every child of God has been translated from the kingdom of the earth to the Kingdom of His own dear Son, Jesus. That means at redemption, we are translated into another Kingdom, which is situated in the heavenly places (Philippians 3:20; Ephesians 2:6).
•We are redeemed as ambassadors of Christ on the earth: An ambassador is an official, who lives in a foreign country as the senior representative of his or her own country. Any assault against him/her is an assault against the nation he represents. Similarly, we are heavenly citizens on ambassadorial missions on the earth to reconcile the world to God. As such, we are “no go” areas for the things that torture others. Therefore, we must have a sense of immunity and an ambassadorial mentality to enhance our level of command of the supernatural (2 Corinthians 5:20; John 3:31; John 8:23).
However, to be an ambassador of heaven, you must first be a citizen of heaven by being born again. Now I know I am born again!”

  • Unlocking the supernatural!

We recognize from scriptures that every redeemed child of God is ordained a sign and a wonder to his world; but it takes the understanding of who we are to be empowered to become what we have been redeemed to be. This is because destiny is essentially a product of identity. Therefore, to actualize our glorious destiny, we must be able to answer the following questions: Who am I? Where am I from? and What am I worth? Interestingly, we can also discover God’s plan and purpose for us from His Word. This is because God’s Word is not just a book, but a spiritual mirror that reveals our actual worth in redemption (Isaiah 14:24). However, it takes accessing our true picture from the mirror of the Word to operate in the realm of signs and wonders (James 1:22-25).

What are our true pictures in redemption?

    • We are redeemed as spirit beings in human flesh: Remember, when Adam’s spirit was alive, he was a supernatural being. After the fall of Adam, his spirit man died. However, when a man is born again, his spirit is re-born and he becomes a new creature. We must understand that the supernatural is domicile in the spirit realm; but, until we are born again, we cannot manifest in that realm (John 3:5-6).
    • We are redeemed as spiritual lions to prevail where others travail: Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah and He said: As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world (John 17:18; See also Revelations 5:5). This means, we share the same DNA with Christ and as such, we possess the same Lion nature in Him. We need to recognize our picture as spiritual lions who have been redeemed to live above fear (Proverbs 30:29-30; Philippians 1:28; 2 Timothy 1:7). However, the freshness of the lion is in the freshness of the food it eats. Moreover, hunger is the greatest threat to the destiny of the lion. Thus, it takes fresh revelation from God’s Word to keep the lion in us alive (Psalms 34:10).

In addition, we understand from scriptures that the Word of God is likened to water that reflects our true identity in Christ as we study God’s Word. A story was told by Kenneth E. Hagin of a lion cub that was captured and made to grow among sheep. It lost its “lionic” identity by virtue of its environment until the day it saw its reflection on the surface of the water. That day, it regained its identity and confidence. As a result, when other sheep fled at the appearance of a lion, it didn’t. This illustration helps us to understand that when we look into (study) God’s Word and believe what it says, He confers us with dominion over every torment of the wicked (Ephesians 5:26; Proverbs 27:19).

    • We are redeemed as spiritual eagles to soar where others struggle: According to scriptures, God is our Eagle Father, so we are His eagle children. Therefore, we are spiritual eagles, redeemed to soar where others sweat; remember, like begets like (Deuteronomy 32:9-13). No arrow can target an eagle successfully because it flies beyond where it can be reached. Likewise, no force of the wicked can truncate our glorious destiny in Christ (Ephesians 1:20-21).
    • We have been redeemed to operate in the realm of unlimited possibilities: We are spirit beings redeemed to live above human limitations. Jesus said: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12; See also Philippians 4:13). We need an understanding of our redemptive rights in Christ; otherwise, we will become cheap preys to the devil. Remember, before the fall of Adam, his spirit man was alive and he flowed naturally in the supernatural. The Bible records that he named all the animals and they bowed to his authority. Hence, our spirit man is the platform for operating in the supernatural. It has to be kept alive, agile, active and buoyant for us to flow in the supernatural. Interestingly, we build capacity into our spirit man largely by the revelation of the Word. Just like we cannot live a healthy life without good nutrition, similarly, we cannot maintain a healthy spirit without the Word of God. The Word is our spiritual nutrition that builds our spirit man to flow in the supernatural (Genesis 1:26-28; Jeremiah 15:16: Acts 20:32).

However, to flow in the supernatural, you must first accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord. Are you born again? If you are yet to be, please say this prayer and you shall be born again: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”

  • Impartation of spiritual gifts for supernatural

Every spiritual gift at work in a man is ordained to change the story of that man. However, spiritual gifts are imparted largely through a desperate quest from the seeker(John 7:37; 1 Corinthians 12:31; Isaiah 41:17; Proverbs 18:16). Spiritual gifts are spiritual forces ordained to effect spiritual turnarounds in the lives of believers. How much of the gift of God at work in us, determines how profitable our lives will be (1 Corinthians 12:7).

Let’s explore some of the spiritual gifts available to us.

The Spirit of Grace: It enhances our steadfastness and sustains our commitment to God. Paul said, “By the help of God, I have continued unto this day.” (Acts 26:22; see also 1 Corinthians 15:10).

The Spirit of Faith: It empowers the believer for dominion(Hebrews 11:33-34; Ephesians 6:16).

The Spirit of Love: It empowers us to love God, and this brings us to realms of unlimited breakthroughs. The Spirit of love is also a giving Spirit, and that is our gateway to a world of financial fortune (1 Corinthians 2:9; 2Timothy 1:7).

The Spirit of Revelation: The Bible in Ephesians 1:17-18 calls it the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation. That is, the Bible opens to us supernaturally and the secrets of scriptures are unveiled to us through this Spirit (Isaiah 60:1).

The Gifts of Healing: This puts us in command of sicknesses and disease; it is first beneficial to us and then it flows to others around us (1 Corinthians 12:9).

The Spirit of Counsel: This is also called the Spirit of guidance. Jesus said, I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my  judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me (John 5:30; see also Isaiah 50:4-5). It is the Spirit of counsel that opens us up to divine instructions on any issue of concern in our lives. When the Lord becomes our guide, we shall not want because His guidance is the gateway to our high places and fulfilment (Psalm 23; 1-6; Romans 8:14).

WHY DO WE NEED THE SPIRIT OF COUNSEL?

It is our escape from the dangers of life set by the enemy (Proverbs 14:12).

Every believer needs the Spirit of counsel to triumph, and it takes men of understanding to draw out counsel from the heart of man (Proverbs 20:5).

    VIRTUES INHERENT IN DIVINE GUIDANCE

When God guides, He goes Before the Guided: When God leads, He goes before the led to make every crooked path straight (Isaiah 45:1-3)

He goes with the guided: And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him (John 8:29).

He walks with the guided: When we follow God’s guidance, we become co-labourers with Him in same (Mark 16:20).

He works through the guided:  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).

He works for the guided:  Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24; Psalm 118: 23). When God is at work, marvelous results are obtained. Therefore, when we are guided, we end up a marvel to our world.

The Spirit of Wisdom: This Spirit empowers us to rule in the midst of our enemies, because the end-time church is ordained to reign (Proverbs 8:14-16).

WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM?

It connects the believer to celestial wisdom—wisdom from above: There are four kinds of wisdom namely: earthly, sensual, devilish and the wisdom from above. The Spirit of wisdom is our access to the wisdom from above, and whatever is from above is above all (John 3:31; James 3:15-17).

It unveils divine secrets: It guarantees our access to divine secrets, which will make a star of us any day. For instance, Job became the greatest of all men in the East because the Spirit of the fear of the Lord guaranteed his access to divine secrets (Job 29:4; Daniel 2:19).

It unravels the future: The Spirit of wisdom unlocks the future to us and that sets us free naturally from discouragement or depression. For instance, Joseph reigned by the Spirit of wisdom; as a result, he could not be deterred or discouraged because he saw a glorious future ahead.

The Spirit of wisdom is innovative: It generates witty inventions, which implies creating solutions. It does not wait for solutions; it creates them (Proverbs 8:12).

It is the Spirit of exploits: This Spirit does not just speak great words, but accomplishes great feats. This is because the wisdom of God is the wisdom of mighty works (Mathew 13:54).

In conclusion, God has ordained our access to all the Spirits gifts of God; however, being born again is the first step that guarantees our access. Are you born again? This simply means have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord? If you haven’t, you can do so by saying this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”

  • Engaging the mentality of the supernatural! (2)

Last week, I brought to you the first segment of this monthly teaching. I had said that, walking in the supernatural is real, and the realm of the supernatural is the realm of the miraculous! This week, we will look at the essence of miracles, our root in the supernatural and why we must engage supernatural mentality.

What Is The Essence Of Miracles?

•To destroy the works of the devil: Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and to stop the devil from molesting any aspect of our lives.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).

•To reveal the glory of God on our lives: Miracles are packaged to reveal the glory of God over every situation and circumstance of our lives. Therefore, for every trace of shame around your life, you are getting double restoration of glory! (John 11:40).

•Miracles are packaged to draw souls to the Kingdom: Every miracle is ordained to attract someone to the Kingdom of God (Zechariah 8:20-23).

Therefore, we must understand that only those who believe in miracles experience them. You are never empowered to become what you don’t believe in (John 1:12).

Hence, those who despise miracles never experience them. In 2 Kings 7:1-2, there was famine in Samaria and Elisha prophesied that by the next day there shall be surplus food and a man said, “Even if God opens the windows of heaven, shall this thing be?” In verse 17, food came by the hand of the Lord, but that man died at the gate. Those who despise miracles are always victims of the supernatural.

    Our Root In The Supernatural

Understand that our redemption is rooted in the supernatural. New birth positions us to be in command of the supernatural. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit (John 3:8).

Everyone that is born again is born into the supernatural world. Jesus said that for everyone that believes in Him, the works that He did shall we do and greater works shall we do (John 14:12). So, every child of God is born a wonder to the world.

If you don’t know your root, you will lose your proofs. You need an understanding of your root to command results. So, new birth makes you a child of God and that means you automatically share a common gene with God. You carry divine genes within you at new birth, so when you become a child of God, you become a god from within. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High (Psalm 82:6).

Why Must We Engage The Mentality Of The Supernatural?

The mentality of the supernatural is what empowers the believer to flow in the supernatural. For out of the heart of man proceeds all issues of life; therefore, keep your heart with all diligence (Proverbs 4:23).

That means we should picture the truth in line with God’s agenda; for our lives are formed by our thoughts. When we start thinking the supernatural, we will experience it. Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). No wonder, he was the greatest Apostle that ever lived.

No man can possess the mentality of the natural and flow in the supernatural. No one thinks like a vulture and commands dignity like an eagle. The choice is yours. Therefore, let’s start thinking like the heirs of God and joint-heirs with Jesus. Start thinking as one seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above where witches and wizards torment.

Friend, the power to engage supernatural mentality is available, if you are born again. You get born again by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. If you are set for this new birth experience, please say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan, to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus! Now I know I am born again!” I will be with you next week!

Every exploit in life is a product of knowledge. For further reading, you can get my books: Commanding the Supernatural, Operating In The Supernatural and Walking In The Miraculous.
